earlier this is one of my fav show. at first I start to watch the show for Shaheer but the character of sonakshi impresed me I used to luv her way of thinking,honesty,luv for family,her attitude but after marrige she becomes aaabla nari,jagat mata gopi bahu/ishita.like them she wants to impress evryone who doesn't even care for her,whole day spend in kitchen cooking for everyone,she wants to solve every problem when there is no need to do such things,she listen everyone including dev's bullshit. indipendency attitude goes to drain she doesn't even remember she has a job untill someone remind her.now her character skteches totally divasteted I just can't connect witg her.And most important The Dev Dixit nowadays I just can't tolerate him even talking about him my blood start boiling nd wants to bang his head.he is always a mamma's boy whatever happens or what sitution comes he will always stay under her mumm' s pallu he will neVer learn. to balancing between ma,family nd wife.he wil never stand for sonakshi or Will utter a word for her insulting,nor he himself will stop shouting at her because for him his ma nd family come first.this is high time now sonakshi should understand this nd stop giving her all priority to every dixits coz she also has a family who brought her make her doctor sonakshi bose,she have some responsibility towards them who truly loves her,values her,respect her unlike dev

I don't understand - If you have a plan to eat at some other place, you simply call home and say don't cook for me at home tonight I have so and so plan. Simple, food and efforts won't go to waste. Is it that Dev thinks that eating at In-Laws is wrong, and he can't obviously share about his wrong deed to his parent and so he will lie.If that is the case then Dev should have by now asked himself if his mother was not clinically sick????

In reality the family understands if a member is obsessive and they might not share the thought the member concerned, they do share it with each other or at least speak to a doctor. In Dixit mansion, may be Dev does not share things with his other family members except his mom, but then shouldn't he out of his concern for his mother at least ask a psychologist. But no, to go to a psychologist he would first need to register that there is something really really wrong with his mother, and that Dev is just not capable of doing, even if the sky falls - forget disrespect and challenge to sanity of his wife - that's small time.

But dev was never a logical person, if he was then he would have never broke up with sona on a whim, wouldn't appoint vikky due to emotional drama and many more.

Anybody getting that report other than sona will be catastrophic for her definitely but again dev delusionarily thinks that reports can never come and maybe when time for having children comes then he reveals. I know its not right but can't do anything dev is like this.

As for sona, desperate times calls for desperate measures hence lying it is for sona whether she like or not. Standing up for her rights can only work when all the issues of dev and ishwari are out in open. Lying may seem immature but when she is living in a house of immature people then she has to play dirty and resort to these measures unfortunately otherwise like last time she lost. She is just giving ishu taste of her own medicine if she lies tomorrow. As for standing up for herself is an alien concept in dixit house.

Dev lying at dinner was much more and deeper than that.

He subconsciously know that his mother is possessive about him just not the extent.

Him and his mother are interdependent and their was no third party between them before so just to pacify he is doing this.

He knows it's his fault that he didn't tell ishwari that he will have dinner at Bose house.

Its never about having her stale food and eating tom its always about making ishu see how he is enjoying her food and praising her. Remember when he refused to eat halwa becoz sona banned him even though he ate quite a bit but due to some 3rd party rejected it. Similar is the situation here.

Dev just don't want to hurt his mother in any way and see disappointment. In this scene both dev and sonakshi were right in there own sense

IMO lies, past problems, insecurities, poverty, success etc are the building blocks of this show. What Cvs are trying to show is creation but there are contradictions which most of the guys made posts on this thread are not able to digest bcoz the characters are not logical.

By the way, just so you guys know, honeymoon is cancelled. Ishwari is sick again and despite Mama assuring Dev that they can take care of Ishwari, he cancelled honeymoon plans. And by Sona's expression it seems again he took the decision without discussing it with her. Ishwari will fake try to convince Dev to go, but he of course won't budge.

seriously though, what do you do if you are unfortunate enough to have a mother(in law) like ishwari? who likes to dictate your relationship? not to the extent that ishwari does but basic things like going out to dinner, watching movies together, doing house work instead of spending time together?
