👏👏👏Excellently put.I was wondering why you had not made any posts recently.
The Dixit never appreciate the small joys or the good things in life. They keep living in the past. They act as if they are the only ones to have faced problems and keep bringing it up.A very wrong attitude towards life.No gratitude and only whines and complaints. When people go through bad times,it makes them appreciate and value the good things and the smaller joys even more. But here is an entirely different situation. They turn every happy moment into a sad one by bringing up the past.

If she has no share with your past then you better stop throwing that face from your past on her.. If you are what you are from your past then you can't escape from sharing that part with her because she's the one who has to deal with it now and forever.
Exactly.

They're just that who are naturally bound to suck each other's blood and lean on each others not to support the other but to take the support from the other.. And make it all appear as if it's their birthright.. And when Dev himself is allowing him to be sucked out who can help him out?
And that is very annoying and disturbing to see.

Awesome post. Every single day Dixits are treating Sona like a rug to be stepped on. She made a big mistake by not going back to her job even for a short while and signed up for unwanted religious trips and family obligations. She should not forget that it is not only her responsibility to take care of that house which is haunted by past. She should set some limits, some boundaries and focus on her life. On a separate note: I don't have to watch any Halloween movies this October, Ishwari is enough for me, she looks like a Bhadakti aatma running from here to there in the need of control, control.

Awesome post. If dixits rub their past on her face, she should rub her upbringing on their face. It's about time she demands her space in that house or move out if they are reluctant to give.

Well said!!! Take a bow. 👏

Most people use their struggle and hard time to learn life lessons... They learn from their mistakes and rejoice in their triumph for coming through tough times.

But Dixit family use their struggle and hard times like excuses for their behaviour and use them like weapons of manipulation.

They expect their every underhanded, diabolical and unethical behaviour to be excused or overlooked because they had a tough time.

Well, boo hoo.

Mother Teresa had a tough time, Swami Vivekananda had a tough time, the freedom fighters of this country had a tough time, the army in Siachin border face tough time. That doesn't excuse them going out and abuse someone or turn into a manipulating psychotic dipsh*t, pardon my language...

It seems like they are the kind of family who keep a piggy bank. Every penny they spent on their child and every affection they shower on them, they put an IOU note in the piggy bank to be collected later.

There are families who collect payment in form of dowry at the time of marriage saying that they educated their son, invested money on him, so they deserve pay back.

And there are some families who are like Shylock who want their pound of flesh.

The later is more dangerous.

At least the families that ask for dowry show they mercenary face before wedding where the girl and the family can dump them and cut their loses.

But the families that demands a quarter pound of flesh in instalment over a lifetime are the ones harder to get rid off.

The annoying part is that the debt here belongs to Dev (which in my opinion has been paid back many times over). If he wants to keep paying interest on interest, that's his prerogative (you can tell I work in Financial industry).

But if someone is serving a life sentence, that person should all intent and purpose, not get married and involve another innocent person in his life sentence.

It's like if you are sentenced to prison for life, would you marry and trap another person with you behind the bars knowing well that this person is used to freedom and independence?

How is that fair?

Now giving excuse that he is a difficult person to live with is not enough. Difficult person can be dealt with. But Dev, you are not at all difficult person. What is difficult is your situation that you happily have trapped yourself in.

You can help a difficult person overcome his challenges. No one is perfect. An alcoholic can get help from AAA, a person with anger issues can be taken to anger management course, a person who is insecure or insensitive can be taken to a psychiatrist.

But when someone intelligent (seemingly) with all their senses intact locks them into a vicious vortex of misery, that person can't be helped nor can be rescued.

To be with that person is basically, your own life ruined in that same vortex.

I loved your post.👏👏
A much needed post to pacify Sona's character and much needed points for Sona to realize her worth as an individual.

But the Dixits'.. How can they really appreciate the reality of life when all they have chosen to remember is the bad memories from their past... And how can they really appreciate anyone else other than themselves who is trying to help them see the moonlight in the process of walking in the dark.. It's their own choice to see only the darkness from their life and not ready to get used to that darkness to enjoy the smallest brightness the fireflies could have brought in during the life.. They chose to boast about their own struggles and indulge themselves in it forever and don't want to come out of it, even with many many options thrown on their way... Because they chose to dwell within their own gloom and brag about it for lifetime...

I completely agree with you.Trust me anyone can be happy in worst of situations because of a right attitude and somehow Ishwari fails to have it.She has best of everything now.
-A successful Businessman Son,A best daughter -in-law anyone could get, An opportunity to help her brother who she feels obliged to,lovely and sensible daughters with Neha as an exception(but I guess she is allowed to be a little moody with the kind of past she has).
What else you expect from a good life?
She doesn't seem to appreciate her present situation and always brooding over the past.I feel really bad when I see her taking advantage for her past to prevent Dev from having a satisfied/ successful marriage life.

Coming to Sona-- I guess she is behaving stupid till she knows the inside out of everyone in this house.I am sure she will make some smart and sensible moves then.
A smart and sensible moves doesn't always mean to leave Dev and make him realize his importance like Neha did to her husband. Both Neha and Sona needs to realize that its their own life which soon will become their own family consisting of their husbands and children. They just can't let others ruin their future family like that. We have seen Sona handling difficult situations in the past and I am sure she will handle this one also smartly, gracefully and with dignity without anyone pointing fingers on her.

Running away from a situation on an impulsive note is not a solution. When people do not let you enjoy your rights as wife of a house ,there is no harm standing up for yourself and demanding it.

True.. Our smile is too precious to let it be spoiled by others be it people or situations...
@bold: well said.. That's my major concern with them.. I am all ready to empathize with them for whatever they had to go through but throwing it again and again on our face and playing the sympathy card isn't working for me.. Even if the CVs are gonna cook a very bad, horrible past for them to gain our sympathy I am going emotionless for them with the ways they behave to each other.. Forget expecting any decent approach from any of them towards Sona.. they aren't even nice to each other in the same family..

Yes.. And this girl letting it all happen to herself is lot more annoying to even read about.. I am not at all looking for any romance between the leads at the moment.. But some decent treatment to fellow human beings.. Everyone takes vacation to take a break from stress.. But here Sona has purposely taken vacation to be stressed out.. 😆
@bold: 😆🤣Ishu sure has become that.. Flying around Dev's room.. 😆

Exactly.. 👏 Sona needn't be waiting to go through all of this finally ti burst out.. She can react then and there as well.. And CVs always take it to the extremes till they rub their message hard on our face till it scrubs on our skin.. We are not that dumb to blame Sona if she does that sooner.. Yeah, there sure are people who are waiting to throw her on the fire when she does that but making her go through this hell of situations would anyway not save her from them.. No need to justify her reaction after all these situations where she's made to bear all the brunt in the name of patience.. If she keeps herself busy at her work that's more than enough to keep herself away from all this mess.. And is she going to sleep with full make up on and in her silk sarees?!😆 I am more dreading to watch that.. 🤪
