My 2 cents

I agree with everything you said about Dev. I see many are trying to justify Dev & his actions by saying stuffs like he's complex, real, had a bad childhood blah blah...well nobody cares. Bottom line remains that his actions are wicked, creepy and lowly.

I'm quite sure nobody would care much about a person's 'emotional turmoil' or his 'childhood story' if the person committed such creepy, lowly acts in real life. What's wrong is wrong. Period!

Love of dixit duo mother-son is exactly the same. They both are extremely possessive about their love. The way Ishwari is right in holding on to her son because for her he is the only emotional anchor after her husband died. Same for Dev, Sona is his only emotional anchor. Both are simply trying to control in almost the same way (or to say wrong way). Ishwari tries to get sona married to someone, Dev cancelled R's loan and took the land he had planned for his clinic. It was Ishwari's way to keep Dev to herself and it is Dev's way to keep Sona to himself.

So If you say Dev is right because of his past, even Ishwari is right because of her past.

Poor Sona, kahan phaas gayi inn do obsessive lovers ke beech mein.

Words such as" balls" are not nice to hear my dear friend.. You can rephrase it in another better way and still get your point across without resorting to use such words. You are free to express your views but there's no need to express it in such language. That's what I mean by "diplomatically"..Not asking you to write nice things about Dev. You have already made up your mind about Dev and his mother. That's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

I can feel that you wrote this post with lots of anger . Not my place to tell you what to do. But reading from the many posts here, I would say, if the show is too painful to the level of absurdity to watch , almost to the point of beyond redemption , one has always a choice not to watch it especially when the complains become more than compliments.

Dev cant have best of both worlds.. He need to stand up and more importantly realize what exactly neurotic things he is doing. I cant argue anymore on this, especially its disheartening to see so many girls trying to support Dev. If it happens in real life, just imagine the impact it will create in your life and how distraught you are going to be.. Someone you loved, cannot even let you live in peace. Pathetic.

I don't think he expects that she comes back to him. It's just that it has happened so soon and I am not saying it would be spineless if he sat in a corner and cried. I am saying I guarantee that the audience or people in this forum would accuse him of that cos there is no pleasing some people.

He doesn't expect that she comes running back to him but he is grieving too so yeah he can't all of a sudden cut her off and yes he has a weakness of making decisions for other people but right now he strongly feels that she is rushing into a relationship where she won't be happy. Even mama said the same thing and Sona's parents make out to be so understanding and how they have made the kids so independent but when it came down to it they are really backward that oh daughter has a heartbreak so now let's marry her off to someone else.

she met the guy, told him all about her ex.. her ex keeps making indecent appearances in front of the guy. Still this guy is sticking by her side.

I think after seeing Ritick's sorted caring nature, healthy family relations, she might slowly fall in love with him.

At least her life and Ritwick's life will not be spoiled. ... Dev.. well his life with dysfunctional family was hell anyway...

The thing my dear is that this show isn't about Sona and Ritvick it's about Sona and Dev. Sona has never agreed with Dev's thinking...they have always had a difference of opinion but she loves him. She loves him and marrying another guy is not the solution to her heartache.

If you want to move on then there are other ways of dealing with it. Everyone has been through heartache but that's why rebound relationships don't work!
