This is the worst thing maker's could do to a character and wow .. People are still appreciating Dev in his antics. Bravo !!
That man is a low life. He doesn't stand up for Sonakshi , doesn't stand against his mother but definately have guts to bring chaos in life of a girl he loved. Wow ..what an upbringing of the most sorted man in the show. Why doesn't he goes and sit in his mother's pallu and narrate how he troubled sonakshi ? Why now the details of his day are amiss. !
This is the most sickening thing one can do to a girl's life and we are cherishing as it happens.
He is nothing but obsessive, spineless, psychic lover. I wonder how can a girl not be afraid of him..he is stalking her, her family and trying to control everything in her life.
If he cant move on, he can let sona move on. Shame Dev reminds mein of Srk character opposite Madhuri (I cant recall the name.)
I can never see Dev in positive light ever ! Destroyed to every inch.

Okay. Let me tell you the movie you are talking about. Its Anjaam.

But there's major difference between SRK's character in the movie and Dev. In the movie the heroine was not in love with SRK. And he was stalking her and creating problems, hurting others even after she gets married to someone else.

Here both Sona and Dev are in love with eachother and mind you deeply in love. Yes whatever Dev is doing in not right. Nobody can justify the behavior. It is not acceptable. But we need to take into consideration the emotional turmoil he's going through. For Dev his emotional state has reached the edge of the tolerance level. He's not in the state of mind to think sensible. He's doing anything and everything he think he is right. Though all his actions are wrong. He just can't live without Sona and becuase of his mother he's scared of accepting her too. He's helpless and that makes him more angry on himself. And as he's aware that Sona still loves him and pretending to move on. And this turn will only spoil her life is hurting him more. Whatever he's doing is only creating chaos. But his intentions are not to hurt someone. Specially Sona.

On the other hand Sona is rushing this wedding thing a lot. She can move on, but it should be when she's ready. She's still in love with Dev. She still thinks of him all the time. And if this wedding will happen in a hurry, her, Dev's and Ritvik's lives will be spoiled. She should give some time to herself before making decision.

Both of them are not right and the one who's more at fault is Dev for sure. But the comparison you made and words you have used i feel are wrong in Dev's case.

Thank you so much for sharing your POV and this is solely my POV.

Dev ways might be wrong but even sona is not correct she promised dev that she will never leave him...even if he leaves her she will stay with him if dev is not a man of promises then sona is also not keeping up with her promises.

while i respectfully disagree with your point of view, i believe it is not stalking in the true sense of the word. Stalkers are those who prey on other people who they do not know and that too with an intent to harm. With Dev there is no such intent.

Also, all has never been great on the other side too. What would you call a person who barges into someone''s office, at the drop of a hat, and disrupts the calm of the office...

at the end of the day, this is a just a fictional show.. the fact that it works on our minds speaks a lot of what it has done to many of us, isn't it... we enjoy some, do not enjoy some..

BTW, what other better choices do we have now?

The movie you are looking for is Anjaam😳I'm going to go with Dhadkan movie instead. Some of the dialogues from Dev are picked up from this movie :)

Dear TM, keeping tabs on a a girl without her consent is not stalking. Making decisions and controlling her life is not obsessive and crazy.. Who cares if the girl is right or wrong yaa.. The boy loves her and that's what matters na😳
"How can you move on", "how can you love someone else when I'm still in love with you", "I will not let you make this mistake", " You can only love me and will not be happy marrying some one else"...how romantic😳

It does not matter if Dev does not have an ounce of courage to talk to his mother, Sona still needs to wait for him without Dev's assurance that some day he is going to convince his mother. Sona is expected to have the same wifi connection with Dev that he shares with his mother.

Dev knows that he cannot continue his relationship with Sona...so why pull all this crap? people justifying his actions is way over my head.

I promised myself that I will stop ranting... Meri Kuch nahi ho sakta😆

If this show is realistic as they claim.. They should address Dev- Ishwari's psychological issues and show that they are getting some help. Because in reality, people like Dev are labeled as crazy.

There is nothing wrong in getting help. It will be disappointing if Dev gets a free pass for all the crazy stuff he has been doing post breakup.

He would have waiting if he asked her to😳
How about all the promises that Dev made...
