To be frank, I started watching this show because we had some really promising promos with the same old concept but being presented to us in an unconventional manner. ( Of course, this includes my admiration towards Shaheer's work. I have always been following his shows except Navya. )

I only n only started watching the show because of Shaheer , I'd missed him so much during his Indonesia stay that my heart yearned to see him , and there was no way I'd have missed his come back serial. Once I started watching it , Erica completely won over my heart n mind through the character of Sona.

The show started off giving us quite good expectations. We can see that there is unparalleled love between the mother-son duo.

I was like ''seriously'' ? Choosing mother over love is the so-called DIMAAG KA FAISLA ? Why is he not able to understand that he doesn't need to choose his Mother or his Love ! These two are totally different !

That part went over my simple head too , why'd he be cornered to "choose" between mom n his love ?? He should be strong and tactful enough to keep both in his life while giving them equal importance n space, After all , there shouldn't be any competition between the two relationship nor any clashes , they're basically completely different relationship.

I agree that Dev had a disturbing childhood but that doesn't mean that one must just turn oneself into a emotionally weak person just because of one's past ! I just don't know how this 27 year old person has been able to establish himself as a successful business tycoon? If he is really a business tycoon, then he should be able to apply some sort of LOGIC man ! Dev once says that "Business is quite easy because we take decisions fairly as we don't bother about the other person but in family, it is difficult to do so." I find that dialogue absolutely absurd. We call persons family not only because they are our blood relations but family can also be people who are close to our heart. He regarded Sonakshi as family and also asked her to stand in the family photograph. Then why did he choose Ishwari then ?

Well, I can only say there are two different versions of Dev in one body , because this quick fix Dev couldn't possibly rise to be a business tycoon. It takes immense patience n long term battle to carve your own niche in the ruthless tough business world, that too when you're starting from scratch . 😆

This clearly states that Dev is a confused soul. He has fallen in love for the first time. He knew that it was first love for Sona as well. If his mother only was supposed to be his family, then why give other girl too many hopes? If he was so conscious about his mom's choices, he shouldn't have loved anyone . He has failed as a BF, and also as a Boss. Mixing up personal and professional lives was totally unprofessional !

The most important thing in a relationship is equality and trust that they will be together in happiness and hardships. When Sonakshi was able to accept Dev's family as her's, Dev must also understand that Sona's family is also important. The way he just argued with Sonakshi was so pathetic. He didn't even face Sona's family once when they were in a relationship. When Sona was ready to sort out issues, and to face it, Dev simple chose to terminate his relationship and accepted defeat. To err is human, and Dev is not at all ready to accept that even Ishwari is not always right.

Completely agree, especially with the bold part. He continued to behave as if her parents n her family is non-existent whereas any BF naturally thinks n worries about manaofying Ladki ki parents first. 😕 It was as if he thought Sona's parents must be jumping up n down at the very thought of achieving Dev's heart because he's such a biggie.

So why waste time winning their approval ?? Why visit them getting to know them ?? Sona will come to my house , I won;t go n become their ghar jamai !

There were several posts in the forum stating Sona is urging herself to move on and our bechara ML is suffering and spilling fat tears... let me tell them, he himself is responsible for it. Let him suffer, let him understand that nothing in this world comes for granted. Sonakshi was not for granted, she was not only his lovely bunny. For God's sake, she has got her own identity, her own space, her own family. If I were Sona, I would never go back to a relation which had no space for me.

It's pathetic that our country has that stereotypes still prevailing in the society. God has created everyone equal. He has given same hearts and brains to both men and women. Both have equal rights on emotions. If a boy is attached to his family and expects his girl to amalgamate with his family there is totally no wrong in a girl expecting the same from her man. I support Sona's decision of moving on. There is nothing wrong in it. If Dev chose his mother, then Sona also must think about her family.

Dev had worked hard to become the Dev Dixit. He must also work hard, change his perspective and earn Sona's love once again. Let me tell you, this is not going to be simple as we say. It is difficult for a man of 27 years to change his perspectives and mindset at a time. It takes time. Also, For Sona it would be tough to believe Dev because who knows, he may hurt her again ! It would be interesting to watch the redemption of Dev Dixit . I am eager, to know how exactly this would happen.

So well written , I don't really know where n how may I add to it. Just hoping desperately that CVs do justice to Dev's character arc because if not it'll be so unfair with Shaheer , n also loyal long time viewers.

As for me, I think it's understandable that Boses want Sonakshi to move on from Dev. It's a knee jerk response as response to insult to their honour.

Did Ishwari give a reason as to why she did not approve of Sonakshi? No. Just that she didn't like her.

Asha Bose asked, "what's not to like about her?! The fact that she's Bengali? Or that she is middle class? "

Sonakshi's mind would have asked many more questions? Am I not pretty enough? Am I unworthy? Is it because I dont know how to cook? Why am I so unsuitable for her son? What's so bad about me?

Does any girl deserve this? Imagine what she felt when Ishwari was giving her sham condolences as she was passing over her duties?

Bijoy, hurt for his daughter, was angered that his daughter was made to feel less than worthy. You are a gem! ! Heera!

Sonakshi is true to expect that Dev would never come around to win her back, especially after Ishwari's parting words. The mother is quite happy she is out of the picture regardless of how miserable the son is.

How will she fit in when she knows Ishwari will not change her mind?

I guess the question we must ask is: what will make Ishwari change her mind? If at all Sonakshi is to go back to Dev, it's his mother's job to win her back. Because Sona knows Dev loves her so much. And he's just being pinned under his mother's expectations of him.

Even that day during phone conversation, when Sonakshi said Goodbye, he'd a good chance there , he should've told her then n there that he'll try to talk n convince mom once she's completely better , mean while Sona can move on if she wishes, but he simply went along the flow , with a " Good bye DR. Bose. " n doomed himself.

He's not been shown as a fighter in love , but a escapist . That's wrong with his characterization.
