Chapter- 3:

"Her condition is not improving, Mr. Dixit!" says Dr. Sinha to Dev sitting in his cabin. Dev's expression changes from hopeful to sad. This was not new for him. He had been visiting the hospital every single day since the last 7 years. Everyday, hoping for a positive news. But, everyday his hope was shattered. Still, he had to go on. Dev gathered his nerves and getting up from the chair he says, "Dr. Sinha, I'll take your leave. Kuch bhi ho, you can directly contact me!" Dr. Sinha nods and says, "Sure, Mr. Dixit! And don't lose hope!" Dev nods unconsciously and leaves from the cabin. Getting out from the cabin, he heads for the stairs and upstairs he enters into a cabin. As he enters, the door of the cabin has "Private Cabin" written on it. Inside the room, a person is lying on the bed with an oxygen mask surrounded by a number of medical machineries. Dev goes close to the person and sits on a chair near the bed. He takes the patient's hand in his hand and very lovingly says, "Kaisi hain tu, maa?" The person lying on the bed is none other than, Ishwari Dixit, Dev's mother. A person who once was a strong woman, a mother who brought up her 4 children all by herself, a wife who missed her husband every second of her life, a sister who shared every small detail of life with her brother and above all a God-like mother to her son, Dev, is now lying on a hospital bed lifeless. A tear escaped Dev's eyes as he stared at Ishwari who didn't reply to his question. Although he knew that she wouldn't answer, but still, it was his routine to talk to her every day. He couldn't imagine a day without his mother. Dev wipes away the tears that were threatening to fall any time and with a smile on his face says, "Kya, maa! Kabhi to mere sawaal ka jawab diya kar! Itna gussa hain kya aapne bete se? Iss hospital ke bed se tujhe kuch zyaada hi lagaav ho gaya hain! Achcha, mujhse naraaz hain, samajh mein ata hain, par baki saab se kis baat ki naraazgi? Itna zidd tujhe suit karta hain kya? Khudko dekha hain? 10 saal ki bachchi nehi hain tu!" Ishwari stays still on her bed not moving a single inch. Dev looking in her eyes says, "Waise, maa. Tujhe paata hain? Kal Riya ka phone aya tha! Usne kaha ki wo office se 1 mahine ki chutti lene wali hain! Ha! Aagle 2-3 haafte mein who London se wapaas aane wali hain! Pure 1 mahine keliye! Aur maine Neha ko bhi kaha hain ki wo bhi 1 mahine keliye yaha aajay aur ghar pe hi rahe. Mein Dr. Sinha se bhi baat karunga ki tujhe 1 mahine keliye ghar le jaau. Agar Neha, Riya, Nikki sab ghar pe honge, to mujhe teri tension bhi nehi rahegi. Phir hum saab saath mein waqt bitayenge." As Dev looks on to Ishwari with a hope for response, his phone starts ringing. He picks the call. The convo,

Tina: Sir, I am sorry maine aapko disturb kiya! But, actually, conference ke saare arrangements ho chuke hain. And the clients are waiting for you!

Dev: Tell them to wait a little. Mein abhi aaraha hu!

Tina: Okay, Sir.

Cutting the call, he takes Ishwari's hand on his and says, "Maa, thora kaam hain. Mein khatam karke tujhse milne aaunga!". He touches her feet and looking at Ishwari one last time, he leaves for work.

In a house, a woman is sitting on the bed with a TV remote on her hand. The house is lavish but at the same time a homely atmosphere prevails. In the room, the woman is impatiently switching TV channels. Outside the bedroom, a person is seen running to and fro in the kitchen with chocolates and puddings in his hands. From the bed room the woman screams, "Ranveer, aap chocolate lene gaye ho ya chand torke la rahe ho?? Mujhe kitni bhukh laagi hain!!" From the kitchen Ranveer says, "Araha hu, bas 2 minute!!" saying this Ranveer taking the hot chocolate in one hand and the bowl of pudding in one hand hurriedly goes to the bedroom. The woman sitting on the bed makes a puppy face and says, "This is not done, Ranveer! Jab aap ghar laut te ho, to mein 10 minute ke andaar khana laaga deti hun. Aur aapko ek hot chocolate laane mein 15 minute laag gaya!" Saying this she turns her face towards the other side pretending to be angry. Ranveer smiles watching the so-called anger of his wife. He keeps the hot chocolate and pudding on the bedside table and sits beside her. Turning the woman's face towards him, he says, "Achcha, I am sorry! 15 minute hi sahi. Hot chocolate to banahi liya na maine. Aab to maaf kardo, Neha!" Yes, this is Neha, Mrs. Neha Choudhary. Ranveer's loving wife and Dev's loving sister. Now, a to-be mother with a fat tummy which needs to be filled every half an hour. After 8 year of their marriage, Ranveer and Neha are finally expecting their first baby. After a lot of persuading and encouragement, Neha finally took the decision to have a baby and she can't ignore the fact that she loves this new feeling. No matter how much Neha denied having children before marriage, this feeling of motherhood is always a woman's most treasured phrase of her life. Seeing Ranveer's puppy eyes, an unknown smile curved on her face. As she stared at Ranveer, he says, "Aab mujhe kya ghoor rahi ho? Itna mehnat karwaya mujhse, aab hot chocolate nehi peeni hain kya?" Hearing this Neha returns from her dream world. Seeing the hot chocolate she grabs it and starts to relish it like a kid. As she sips her drink, Ranveer admires the woman in front of him who is the reason of all the happiness and success of his life.

"So, gentleman! This is the whole extension project. What do you think?" says Sonakshi after finishing the presentation of the extension project of her hospital. One of the investor says, "Your concept is brilliant, Dr. Bose. I am feeling confident about it!". Sonakshi with a smile says, "You have to, Mr. Kumar!". "But, Dr. Bose. I think, hume ye project Mumbai mein nehi karna chahiye!" another board member says. Sonakshi says, "Why not, Dr. Chaturvedi? We are all in Mumbai. So, it would be better aagar ye project bhi yahi ho!" Dr. Chaturvedi says, "It's not about us being here! Think about it this way, aagar Incepta ko hum Mumbai ke alaava dusre kisi city pe establish kar paye, then it could reach out to more people!" Sonakshi's secretary, Payal says, "I think, sir's right, ma'am! You should give it a thought!" Sonakshi starts thinking about it while all the others agree with Dr. Chaturvedi. She says, "Ok, then. You people suggest a place!" Another doctor says, "What about Delhi?" Sonakshi's heart snaps hearing the name of the city she left years ago. The place where once she had a home, she had her love, she had everything. But, now, she couldn't even think about that city. The place where she lost her dream, her love, her life. She hated that place and everything and everyone who is there, even HIM.
