Hi friends,
So...amidst watching tonights episode I thought of something...It makes sense for Sona to love Dev as we've seen her realize ( over the course of the show) how at first, he isn't a horrible human being ( as she had first presumed). We saw her learn about his hard lived past and his struggles and hard work. We saw her learn about his caring and giving side and what ultimately made her fall for him - we saw her see his caring side towards her ( when she got into the accident).But...if you think about it, Sona has done nothing for Dev to be in love with her, she has not provided him with any type of comfort or care that someone in his life already hasn't. Don't get me wrong, she is nice to him here and there when she's not busy calling him Mr. Obodro😆and she does take care of his mother, but even there she is being paid to do so. I mean, Tina is more there for him than Sona is.So ultimately what my post is about, is that although I understand a lot of your guys' anguish about Dev's ( nonexistent) feeling towards Sona, I feel like ( story wise) it makes more sense for him to NOT be in love with Sona ( YET AT LEAST) than to be.I want him to fall in love with Sona, but their relationship needs to grow, a lot more.Share your thoughts😊

Our anger is not against dev for not realising his feelings for sona. For all we know he may not have any feelings for her at all. He is surely entitled to take his time to realise what he feels for sona. That does not bother me at all. What bothers most of the forum members is sona's reaction and how she is stuck in that phase of love lost puppy. Right from the beginning of the show, she was potrayed as a very strong and independent women and not somebody who gives up or cries so easily. But after the accident episode she is just not herself. And the cv are dragging this track unnecessarily. We get it she is in love. And her feelings are not reciprocated. Fine. But whats wid all the rona dhona, dreams, rr nagging, elena becoming love doctor and instigating sona all the time to propose. To be very honest being a girl i cannot relate to all this at all. Life doesnt stop for anything. And over dramatisation doesnt help just to encash sympathy from viewers. It is indeed a torture for us because i love sona's character. Cant see her in pain.
I feel cv shud have a little more practical approach. Wherein sona shud move on till dev realises now. And then it shud be her call what she wants to do about it.

Great question! And it made me think. 😃 I haven't read all the replies here so don't know if someone's already said this, but wanted to put down my thoughts anyway.
So here goes:1) Sona is an equal partner for his cares. She has shouldered and shared the weight of his almost overwhelming burdens:His mother - his biggest concern. She rescues Ishwari in their first meeting and takes her to hospital. Thereafter she takes care of Ishwari's health. Giving Dev peace of mind. His sisters - she bridges the generation gap between Nikki and Dev. Like when she advocates that Nikki should be allowed to go to the sleepover, and then rescues Nikki. And by releasing Neha from her chores of looking after Ishwari, she pours oil over those troubled waters as well.2) She is a calming, settling influence on Dev's entire family. And man is it needed! It's impressive how Sona almost never loses her control with them no matter how terrible the provocation. So many instances, but one stands out: when Ishwari wanted her to throw out the trunk of her children's memories, but Sona stored it away for her.3) Sona brings the fun back into his life. For a man who's never really had time for the lighter things in life, Sona helps him finally enjoy the fruits of his labour. Like the comp games she pushes Nikki to get for him. Sona's family is such a 'circus' that just being with them lightens Dev's day. Then there is Sona herself - her fear of the dark released the playful streak in him and got him laughing.4) She challenges him. She's stood up to him from their first meeting. She challenges his convictions. She is independent and fiesty. He likes that about her. I remember his scorn when he mimicked her reference to her suitor who would have 'allowed' her to work in Delhi. 😃5) They've shared significant life events. To me Sona's accident is the clincher. It was a terrible trauma for both of them. Dev put all he had (including his most private and personal memories) into saving her life. Into ensuring she recovered. He has a stake in her well-being. He will never be able to set that aside throughout his life. Neither will Sona be able to forget what he did for her. A shared experience of that nature can - and has - strengthen the bond between them.6) There is a growing attraction. 😃 The basis of 'more than friendship'. From the unconscious scaring away of suitors to the trip-fall-catch when one of them visits his home, to the need to dance with her at the award function, to dropping her home, to checking up on her well-being after her accident, to that hand hold and lingering brush of thumb when she went to get the cricket bat...And today when he was not unaffected by her slamming into him.Everything he's sought in his life-partner, in the woman of his dreams he's finding in Sona. She's woven herself into his life so quietly that he can't see it just yet. But his need for her is such that it won't be long before realization dawns.Sorry for the long post, but the question was such...😃
