First of all,it's a really good question,I must say.
Well,in my opinion, where reasons stop answering, where logic stops questioning, and when everything around you seems beautiful, this is when you fall in "love".This "why" is mysterious, just as mysterious as why we are what we are?.

1. Because we all want to "expand beyond ourselves." Pyschologist Arthur Aron at Stoney Brook University has conducted studies suggesting that a primary motive for us as humans is to "expand the self and to increase our abilities and our effectiveness."
2. Good eye contact.

3. Because of inner and outer synchronicity. We fall in love, says psychologist Mark B. Kristal in the University at Buffalo College of Arts and Sciences, when processes in our bodies align with appropriate triggers from the outside world.
4. Because we like the way they smell. Many studies have shown that smell plays a role in love.perhaps odourless, signals that enter the brain through the olfactory system. That's right, pheromones.
5. Because we like the way they kiss.
6. Because of our hormones. You know how your heart pounds and your mouth goes dry when your new lover rings the doorbell? It's basically a stress response.
7. Because love is a drug.

In other words, despite all that science has to offer, there is something about love, falling in love, being in love, showing love, maintaining lifelong love - whether that's between romantic partners, parents and children, friends or people in the world at large - that transcends all our definitions and attempts to understand. True, scientific studies have shown neuro chemical, psychological, olfactory, evolutionary and psychological reasons for love. But, in the end, we love who we love, and the act of loving makes us who we are(.By Deborah Byrd in

So many reasons, but does any of them actually make sense. To me,'No',except the last paragraph, which says it all. Therefore, neither Sonakshi has a justified reason to give that why she loves Dev,nor should Dev have listed reasons to love Sonakshi. Because,at the end,its the heart that will mingle without any reason, and that will be Dev and Sonakshhi's true love.

PRECISELY my point!
He has NO feelings for her whatsoever. Only platonic.
So he being with Nuts the weirdo isn't wrong from his POV. I didn't like the biscuit feeding scene as a fan but according to Dev's POV nothing is off.
Let him develop feelings for her!
Thank God. Loved this post. Seriously.
Realisation toh tab hoga jab koi feeling ho.
