Why would Dev love Sona?

Hi friends,

So...amidst watching tonights episode I thought of something...

It makes sense for Sona to love Dev as we've seen her realize ( over the course of the show) how at first, he isn't a horrible human being ( as she had first presumed). We saw her learn about his hard lived past and his struggles and hard work. We saw her learn about his caring and giving side and what ultimately made her fall for him - we saw her see his caring side towards her ( when she got into the accident).

But...if you think about it, Sona has done nothing for Dev to be in love with her, she has not provided him with any type of comfort or care that someone in his life already hasn't. Don't get me wrong, she is nice to him here and there when she's not busy calling him Mr. Obodro 😆 and she does take care of his mother, but even there she is being paid to do so. I mean, Tina is more there for him than Sona is.

So ultimately what my post is about, is that although I understand a lot of your guys' anguish about Dev's ( nonexistent) feeling towards Sona, I feel like ( story wise) it makes more sense for him to NOT be in love with Sona ( YET AT LEAST) than to be.

I want him to fall in love with Sona, but their relationship needs to grow, a lot more.

gd 1 dear..i really like the way sona is practically thinking that dev will not love her...n this is just starting..so many more incident will come hopefully where dev will fell for sona..1 2 incident already hppnd..she is paid for only her mother..but she is taking care of evry1...like rember nikki incident??this small things can create place for sona in dev's heart..but this all r just hv started..though love doesnt need any logic...but hope tht they will show sm logical thing to fell dev for sona😃😃

Yes, yes I know what you mean..there are little things, but that's just Sona's nature, she's a good human being and I'm pretty sure she would do this for any of her patients if she was in a similar circumstance with someone other than Dev ( whom she loves). I do hope they show more scenes showing Dev falling for Sona as if he just abruptly decides he loves her it is unrealistic and not as pleasurable or relatable as an audience. I feel like love has logic, lust does not 😆

Absolutely agree with you!! Thats why I so wanted yesterday's scene to be a dream from the beginning, coz currently Dev to fall in love with Sona would be so unrealistic and just for the sake that they are supposed to in the show 😕

I want such occasions to happen where Dev can really see that personal, loving, caring side of Sona which differentiates her from the rest like Natasha, where he really feels that despite his responsibilities this is the woman he loves from the core of his heart 😳😳!

I dont want it to be hurried and just coz it has to happen, but it should be a gradual build up and not just coz he knows her for long time and misses / cares for her... that one does even for close friends. But because she is actually some one more special and different for him Personally. He has seen her caring nature towards his family like mother, sister, but he needs to feel up close this nature towards him in a more personal manner.

I also want to now see Dev being attracted towards her. Till now they havent shown it much, and have only shown Sona getting attracted by his looks, biceps, manners etc. He also needs to be charmed by her in his own way!!

Yesterday, I again watched the episode where electricity goes off, in the candle light they have only shown eye contact from sona's perspective, they did not much show Dev getting lost in her. I think now is the time slowly for Dev also to feel more towards Sona in such direction.

whatever dev did that was also his nature dear...n sona fall fr her bcz she saw a gd human in him...so hope that we willl c more of sona's gd nature..so that dev cant run away from loing sona😃😃😃😃😃

from the starting of the show i felt Sona will fall 1st for Dev in love and then Dev but after Natasha's entry it seems that he will start thinking about his personal love life because current track is showing that Dev will accept the proposal for marrying Natasha

DevAkshi's bond should be given more time and space... its very soon to show Dev falling for Sona... i agree with you!

Yes. These are my exact sentiments I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Like remember when she suggested he talk to someone about his problems and he said he was going to call her every night and vent to her ...that should've actually happened. I hope they can show Dev now falling for her...I wish they had waited for the Natasha entry cause how is he gonna realize his feelings for Sona while being engaged to someone else...what a mess 😆

Yes, I feel like the Natasha track came too soon... they should have waited for Dev to at least CONSIDER Sona romantically. It's going to be interesting to see how they show Dev falling for Sona while being engaged to Natasha...lol

Why would he not love Sona? He will.

For what she is. Her simplicity, her maturity, her commitment and love for her work and the way she carries herself with pride. He has observed she does not trade money for duty and commitment. He has seen her personal touch and genuine love and understanding towards his family. He has seen how beautifully she makes him see and understand things about his family and how she take care of the many small things that matter to a person. He has seen how completely unpretentious she is... She easily admitted that she cant cook or knit or do any homely stuff.

I think Dev adores and respects her for the person she is and thats' all matters when you love someone. .He is so much at ease with her and he trusts her. Ofcourse she happens to be pretty and thats a big bonus.

Dr. Sonakshi Bose is one helluva package. I really like such characters and I don't see how a genuinely nice guy can not fall in love with her. Am glad the makers have finally introduced a female lead with a deep character, with intellect and who is so relatable. Am so sick of the overly preachy, always sacrificing, always right, holier than thou females who are spamming the TV nowadays.🤢

My only request and hope is that they retain Sona's character. When they showed her wanting to propose, I was a bit uneasy because it looked very off-timed and immatured from her. And its not like her at all. I hope they don't go that route again. Barring this, Sona's character is very well sketched👏 Please CVs,...pls keep our Sona intact..
