okay guys so i am back with the new update for the SS
first of all im so sorry for updating the part so so so late i was busy with my brother's wedding preparations so did not get any time...
i missed the serial also for so many weeks so took me time to catch up on everything and then start writing again...

SS: Jab dil ke faisle dimaag se hote hai part 8
***Present day***
Dev was almost asleep for 2 hours..The day was very tiring and emotionally exhausting for him..So much had happened in such a short span of time..Things he never imagined he would have to face in his life..
All the images started flashing in front of his eyes and he suddenly woke up with a jolt..He checked the clock on the wall and realised that he was asleep for almost two hours..He checked his phone to see if he had missed her calls because according to him she should have reached home by now, but to his surprise there was no meassage or misssed call from her side and it was very unlike sona to not call or message once she reached home. And he very well knew that if she had not messaged yet that meant she was not home yet and he knew exactly where she used to be when she needed some time away from everything..It was HER place..
He grabbed his car keys from the table and picked up the phone from the floor. The screen saver was still their image from that day on the terrace on his birthday..For some reason it felt very peaceful looking at it..Their smiling and content faces,the way she had planted a kiss on his cheek and he for the first time had taken a selfie in his life..That was picture was HIS life..
Right now his life and the rest of the world around was black and white but that picture and them together in it, was screaming colors..They werr screaming colors..Their love was too..Their love was still colorful but their lives were not..He just smiled while picking up the phone, and left for the office to check on her...
Dev reached the office in 15 mins. Sona was still on the terrace recollecting all their moments together.She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even realise that she was there now for almost 2.5hrs.. Suddenly she was brought back to reality by the ringing of her phone.. It was Elena. She knew that mom must have told Elena to check on her as it was pretty late and she had not informed anyone at home as to where she was going..
" Haa Elena, bol" she said picking up the call..the reception was pretty bad and she couldn't hear a word, that's why she went to the other side of the terrace...As she passed by the elevator to go to the other side, just a minute after or so the elevator clicked opened..It was DEV..
He got off the elevator and went to the side where Sona was before..He just stood there for few minutes feeling the wind kiss his face.He wanted to feel the breeze not beacuse he wanted some escape or wanted to feel free or relaxed but for the simple fact that the breeze at that place had a fragrance of THEIR LOVE..
It was always there,because most of the happy moments they had witnessed in their relationship in the past year, this place had witnessed it all and to any consolation this place celebrated their love with them..He just kept his eyes closed and was lost to the past conversations of theirs at the night of his birthday.
*** 8 months ago ***
They were lying down on the matress on the terrace floor, next to each other vertically, with their legs in opposite direction to each other but their faces met each others..They were just lying there, looking at the open sky above them..Even their silence spoke a thousand words..Lying there Dev just tilted his head towards hers and now they were face to face..He lovingly planted a kiss on her forehead and said " Sonakshi, it was perfect ! Thank you so much.. I can't tell you...
while he was about to complete his sentence she cut him in the middle and just smiled at him " i know dev, you don't need to explain me how happy you are..i just lived your happiness with you minutes ago, and that is what matters to me.Not the thank yous or you saying how grateful or lucky you feel.. I UNDERSTAND YOU ... and I LOVE YOU " saying so even she planted a gentle kiss on his forehead " and I ALWAYS WILL"
They just smiled at their other and then again looked at the stars in the sky..No one said a word but they both knew what the other one was doing..They both were thanking their stars a zillion times for making them love each other and giving them such a beautiful life. They could not have asked for a better life...
" So, surprise ho gaya, i love you ho gaya, aaj toh kisses bhi wholesale mein bate, so ab kya? i think sona iske baad starts our HAPPILY EVER AFTER! "he said still looking at the sky
suddenly he felt a jolt on his chest as Sona slapped him on his chest while getting up.." I don't want a happily everafter with you, mad or what ?" she said
Dev was surprised at her sudden change in tone.
" AREY! yeh kya baat huyi ? badi ajeeb ho yaar, duniya mein peheli ladki ho jisko apane boyfriend ke saath happily everafter nahi chahiye" he said in a rather dejected tone..
" AREY, mere buddhu ram ... waise nahi.. mere liye happily ever after ki defination alag hai..normal logo ki pata nahi but mai aapke ke saath ke alag happily everafter chahati hoon Dev" she said with a blush on her face as if she had already imagine a million times in her head as to how will it be and it was crystal clear for her..
" Toh batao mujhe, mai bhi janana chahata hoon " he asked
" Nahi aap mujhe judge karenge" she said
"SONAKSHI' he said in his tone stating that they had passed that bridge long back in their relationshp to judge each other...Finally Sona gave up and started
" You know, before falling in love with you... maine pyaar aur perfect fairly tales, yeh sabke baare mein sirf suna tha..and i will be honest with you tabhi mai hi yehi sab chahati thi..maine aapse kahan bhi tha ki mai apane prince charming ke liye ruki hoon yaad hai ?" dev nodded a yes with a smile while the curosity was visible on is face as he really wanted to know what she had to say..
"But jab aapse pyaar hua and hamara relatonship shuru hua uske ek month baad hi mujhe pata tha ki mujhe wo fairy tales wali love story nahi chahiye aapke saath..
maybe jo log kehenta hai na wo sahi hai ...
Jab tak kisi cheez ko first hand experience naa karo tab tak nhi pata hota hai what it feels like, or how you want to go ahead with it..mere saath bhi yehi hua jab tak suna tha tab kuch aur chahye tha but jab aapke saath usko experinece kiya, usko aapke saath jiya tab i came to know that LOVE has way more to it that promises,sacrifices,care,attention,fights or even for that matter possesiveness..It means a lot more than that.."
Now Dev was really curious to know what was coming next because this was the first time she had opened up about THEM and their future so seriously in front of him..
"I realised Dev that true love is not ROMEO AND JULIET DYING TOGETHER, IT IS OUR GRANDPARENTS GROWING OLD TOGETHER...
It is us growing old together while we both experience new things about us and even ourselves...It is being there with each other when we are getting to know about ourselves more...
like that day when you were teaching me to drive, because it was me, you were so patient otherwise there was no way in hell you wouldn't have lost your cool in seconds..
that day you came to know that you can be a patient person if given a try..You learnt a new thing about yourself and i was there right beside you...
or when you asked me to wear that saree for you and you appreciated my looks.. i never liked wearing saree but after that day i started appreciating myself in saree and even learned to love myself in it...and you were there...
or for the fact when you tried gifting ranveer that flat and i did not agree to your gesture..That day i learnt that i couldn't just agree with you because i love you...for me to support you it had to be right in my head..i learnt that i could stand up to you or if time comes even pick a fight to voice my opinion and not fear loosing you because you will understand...
This is how i want our happily ever after to be, something where we learn new things about ourselves and each other as we grow old together..Where we discover ourselves while loving each other...Where we explore ourselves individually while exploring our future together...where you try to wear an orange shirt because i like it and i start drinking coffee even if i know it is bad for health...you know in the start i tried coffee because you liked it and i didn't want to upset you, right in the start of our relationship...as a doctor i had told you a million times but as a girlfriend i didn't want to hurt you or lose you, so i tried.. but then that became a habit more than a compulsion..and now i love this habit...this is how i want US to be...
I want to fight with you like a kid but then i want to sort things out with like a mature adult...I want to hate you for your impulsive and difficult behaviour while i love you for your loving and caring and attention...
i want to crib about how fat im getting but then enjoy the most oily food with you because you love it..
I want to give you all the space you need but then i also want to be super possesive when to talk to othet girls...
i want you to exercise daily but i also want to sit with you for hours just talking and doing nothing...
i want you to get sound sleep at night and i also want to talk to you on phone the entire night...
i want you to loosen up in your life and not be serious all the time but then i want you to be super serious about me and about US...
i want you to open up and complain about things about me but i want you to love me like hell...
i don't want you to make me unrealistic promises but i want you to keep all the promises you make to me ...
i want to be you smile when you are sad and your strength when you are weak...
i want us to fight, love, laugh, crib, cry, dance, enjoy, lose, win, fall and then get up together...I want all this for us DEV but i don't want a happily everafter nd if you want it
THIS IS WHAT OUR HAPPILY EVER AFTER should be..."
She said all this without realising that she spoke at a stretch and he was just looking at her...
" Kya ???? Aise kyu dekh rahe hoo... maine bola tha tum judge karoge " she said not knowing how he will react...
Dev just kept looking at her and was in Awwwe of the woman in front of him...Simple things meant the world to her...
And doing them with HIM meant everything ... He felt so blessed at moment...
" Ab bolo bhi, ki sirf dekhate hi rahoge "sona said with a little irtitation
He just smiled and said
" I LOVE YOU, SONAKSHI BOSE...Your are the best thing that could ever happen to me ...
I LOVE YOU !! "
DEV was so proud that he fell in love with a girl like her who knows the difference between fairy tales and reality but still wants to make a realistic fairy tale of her own and that too with HIM in it...
he couldn't have asked for more...
That day he learnt that he can love her more with every passing day...He discovered a new aspect of their love and as she wanted to be, with her by his side...
