I see your question is quite a clever one.
You didn't ask me, which current item gal I can be compared with, rather which current heroine, I can be compared with. So, this tells me a lot about the current state of the heroines (or the leading ladies of the tamil movies) 😆

The present day heroines must be doing just the job that the item gals did, in my era - wear skimpy clothes and dance around with the heroes - besides that, have a total screen time of 2 minutes in a movie. Come to think of it, in my days, item gals had more sceen time in a movie, than heroines do, these days!

Anyway, coming back to your question... When it comes present day heroines, were you seriously thinking that there would be someone who matches my talents in "dance, looks and sound effects"? Please think again. 😉

2. Which current hero you would love to pair with?

Well... can you make it two?
Vicky seems to have a way with the chicks. I surely want to show him what I've got (Now don't go wild..I meant my filmy talents) when I get to be his co-star.

And then Surya.. Poor chap.. I think he really needs a break and I'm so willing to show him the world 😆 when I'm paired with him.

3. If you were asked to perform for Sirici Sirici Vara from Vasool MBBS, what kind of outfit would you have choosen 😛 ?

My all time favorite "costume" would be the one that I picked out for "Ponmeni Urugudhey" in Moondram Pirai. Can any other costume be as ero*ic, yet not vulgar? I would totally love to dance for any number of item dance in that costume.

1. you acted in a movie called Thanga Thamarai directed by Thirupathi Raja which never saw the light of the day. can you tell us why movies that cast you as a heroine were all canned and never screened???

Not all were canned.. but not many were made either. If you'd noticed, in my era the heroines actually wore decent clothes in the movies (at least somewhat) and the two piece stuff aka bikini were that of the item gals'.
So. when I became the leading lady in the tamil movies, I had to dress like a heroine too - none of that jigina bikini thingies. What a bummer! Now, why would I disappoint my ardent fans clothed as a heroine? Luckily for my fans, some of the movies didn't have enough finances to see the light of the day.

Now don't ask me where all the finances went 😉

2. you acted in a malayalam movie called layanam directed by thulasidas. layanam became so famous that it was remade in hindi Reshma ki jawani. talk to us about that experience of acting first ina malayalam movie, later a hindi movie...

I know.. I know..a fan such as yourself will not forget a movie like that!! This movie "Layanam" was first released in Malayalam when the industry was hitting a slump and this movie became a super duper hit. Of course, in the entire movie, there were only two scenes that were not shot in the bedroom. But that's another thing.

When this movie was released in Hindi, it broke all records created by "Ek chhoti si love story" in that period. Did you know that? Bollywood producers lined to sign me up for their films, but I gave 'em up, as my heart was with the South Indian fans.

In many ways, Layanam was a trend setter of sorts, later on to be followed by gum gum Shakila and the like. To this day, there are a few who claim that, it is the best soft **** movie in the Indian film industry.

3. you acted in a kannada movie called halli mestru as a sex education teacher. tell us what made you choose that role and that movie??

I believed that my kalai sevai (note: only one 'a' in Kalai 😆) in the industry, should also involve me imparting some education and message to my fans. What other role would be better than that of a sex education teacher? Ore kallu, rendu maanga 😉
