• It's a commercial Pakistani film. The star cast includes Humayun Saeed, a big star in Pakistani films and director is Javed Fazil. I'm playing the main lead opposite Humayun and it's to be released in December or January.
What prompted you to take it up?
• The story line is very interesting. I'm playing the role of a film actor and the plot is all about revenge as the title suggests, Main Ek Din Laut Aaunga. The experience and the interaction with the Pakistani crew was wonderful.
You stepped into Bollywood sometime ago, but why hasn't there been a release of yours as yet?
• As we all know, serials happen overnight and films take time. The reason being I had announced the films in March and they have now been completed and are ready for release towards the end of this year. So, looking at the bright side, I will have four releases by the year end or early next year. What more could I ask for!
Are you still referred to as the Kkusum of TV?
• Yes, I am and that makes me so proud and even more confident that people will accept me in my new ventures in the film industry as I can already feel their love!
Are you not doing TV shows anymore?
• I'm taking it step by step and will take a call on that after my films release. I believe in quality work more than quantity, so I'm not in a rush. Television or films — I'm open to both. I believe whatever happens, happens for the best. I just pray to God that my hard work pays off.
