Raymon Singh is not in a tearing hurry to get back to the small screen. Her daughter, Rishma, is now seven months old. But for Singh, last seen as Tanya in Piya Ka Ghar (Zee), it is the moments spent with her first-born, that matter.
"Getting up in the morning hasn't been this much fun before. Watching Rishma wake up, is a moment I love to relive everyday. My time is well spent taking care of her and watching her grow. There are new discoveries every single day. I don't want to miss all this," she says.
Retail therapy
Married to Rishi Kakar (who is with Standard Chartered Asset Management), Raymon may have taken it easy on the acting front, but not on her business. The actress also runs a linen business and retails under the label, Just Linen.
"My mother started it years ago in our hometown Indore. Just Linen specialises in a white line of exquisite linen with crochet and lace work," says Raymon, who has been travelling and holding exhibitions of her creations. "I was in Bangkok for the Asian Goods show recently, and for another showing in Kolkata. As these exhibitions are for two to three days, Rishma accompanies me to these events."
Besides that, she is also trying her hand at designing silver jewellery. "Silver goes well with the white linen line. This is something which I have just started doing."
Taking it easy
Raymon is also taking care of herself. "I'm doing all that I could not do when I was shooting. I can go for a leisurely walk and swim in the evenings. I have lost a lot of weight post delivery thanks to that."
The actress points out that she will get back to the acting circuit a few months down the line. "Acting is a full-time job with erratic hours, that's why I am not rushing into it. There have been offers but unless it is really tempting, I will not rush into it."
Fact file
After bagging the Miss Madhya Pradesh title, she moved to Mumbai to study and began modelling. Raymon made her acting debut on the big screen with Dance Party, opposite Raman Trikha. She also featured in Military Raj and Army. On TV, she has played Priya in Gharana (Zee), Nikita in Kkusum (Sony) and Sunaina in Bhabhi (Star Plus).
