REVEALED:Kituu's secret past | didn't work out: Ami Trivedi | Sab nahin jaante ki Ami Trivedi was in a relationship for four years Vickey Lalwani vickey.lalwani@mid-day.com
Before Manish Goswami's show Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai went on air, Ami Trivedi (who plays Kituu in Shahara One's Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai) was dating Yogesh Pagare (known as Yogi) for nearly four years. Yogi works with Ram Gopal Varma these days. Gujju connection 28-year-old Yogi first met Ami during her theatre days. The couple acted together in a Gujarati play called Gujju Bhaiye Gaam Gajavyu. Yogi has also acted in serials like Hip Hip Hooray, Star Best Sellers, Aahat, Rishtey and X Zone among others, but later shifted his focus to writing and direction. He was also seen in Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas... as Sejal's brother-in-law. The grapevine is that he is ready with a script that Prawal Raman (Darna Mana Hai, Gayab) is supposed to direct for Ramu, and is waiting for the go-ahead signal. Sources say, "Once Kituu... went on air, Ami started behaving differently with Yogi. Both were very serious about each other. But they don't wash their linen in public, so the reasons for their differences and the consequent split were never known." We're not friends When contacted, Yogi was hesitant to talk about his past. He later admitted, "Ami and I were in a relationship for more than three years. It's over now, we've gone our different ways." As for the reason for their break-up, Yogi said, "We've both moved on in life. Let's not look back. Ami is a closed chapter in my life. I will not say that we are still good friends. We are not in touch." On the other hand, Ami said, "Yogi and I were seeing each other. To be honest, Yogi has been the only guy in my life so far. I would not like to elaborate on what went wrong. Simply put, things didn't work out between us." Workaholic On the professional front, Ami is so busy with Kituu... that she cannot think of any other assignment. "I am shooting virtually thirty days in a month," says Ami, a science graduate. At one point, Ami had aspired to be a doctor. Things changed when she began doing Gujarati theatre. Her father is well-known theatre actor, Tushar Trivedi, who has been involved in Gujarati plays for over 20 years. Her brother, Karan Trivedi, is also into theatre.
