Post- Watch Analysis

Comic moment #1: "Mein aur Natash ek duhje ke liye book ho jukhe hai!!" When Arjun said this, I started laughing... for some reaond i found this line extremely funny. Totally Punji like "book ho jukhe hai"....Yeh marriage ya koi train trip? Roka ya berth reservation? Hopefully that thought brought a smile to your face as it did mine.

Comic moment #2: DK: "Arjun, Kya hua? What's wrong with you?" Again I found this hilarious...ironic...Khud Gham de kar pooch tha hai "kya hua?".... Do you really not know DK?

|Beauty and the Beast|

Beauty and the Beast that's what we saw tonight.
So, have you heard this fairytale? No? Yes?... Well let me tell u about it anyway. The Beast is a cursed prince who can only be transformed back to his true form with true love. His true love is a merchant's daughter, Beauty, who he bargains away from her foolish father. Beauty stays with the Beast in his enchanted castle... she teaches him to smile... to love... to care... He asks to marry her, but Beauty refuses because in her dreams there is the prince... she does understand they are the one and the same... her prince is her beast.

One day she asks to return to her father for awhile and the now somewhat gentled beast lets her. Alas, it costs him great grief to part from her... but he does it trusting that she will return to him as promised... She gets waylaid... by the time she returns her beast is dying..her heart is broken and she cries.. as her tears roll down her cheek and splash gently onto the dying beast... her love in the form of her tears transforms the Beast into the Prince again....

Something similar happened tonight... our Beast transformed into back into an Insaan again today with that single tear. Whose tear? Not his, but hers...What she could not get him to do with words and logic (question his flawed beliefs), she got him to with a tear. And as surely as he broke her today... she broke him with the tear – her silent scream of pain. Afterwards – she leaves and he breaks/falls apart for the both of them because no pain haunts you more than the ones you give those you love. Penance will come later along with regret...but, for now there is just pain in every denial of pain, every unwilling kick, thump, or tear.

@ Ria – your analysis was spot on, so I won't rehash it here. But, tell u where i disagreed with u: Arjun was not playing with the cell phone to distract himself... he was doing what we all do in distress... phoning his bestfriend...the one he can no longer call or share his heartache with because he has broken both of them today....

|R + G + B = W|

What's R + G + B = W? Physics (I got to pure science afterall! Anjana's Physic teacher hangs head in shame)... R + G + B = W is the physics of the color white. Three primary colors (Red + Green + Blue) make up white or rather the right frequency of those colors make up white light. Its an amazing color this white? Nah? So, underestimated yet symbolic:

White – the non-color color... the color of innocence.. of purity... of hope... of death.. .of peace...

Between today and yesterday, we saw this color in all its glory. Innocence when Arohi was racing in the rain...Purity of heart in the elevator scene... hope when she gave him her heart to him ...death when he annihilated that love with his cruel words...and ultimately Peace...solace that only crying (alone silently) can bring when you are dying...

DK the Dad afterall:

I said DK would never accept Arohi because of her link to Savita... I was right... that I think more than things like status, etc. what lies at the heart of DK's motive here... is his own fear of love... So, he is "torturing" his son now to prevent the pain..the hurt...that's been his world his universe since Savita left him. Surely, a little pain now is better than the lifetime of pain that DK thinks Arohi will bring him... Why do I think that DK thinks Arohi will bring Arjun pain? Because he has tried to mould Arjun in his own image (successfully or so he thinks) and Arohi is Savita... As such, she will hurt Arjun...just as Savita did DK.
I am not saying DK is not psycho or that he is right, but that his own tragic experience with love blinds him to his own flaws and Arjun's suffering... And like some of you think they should explore his and Savs more..
Post Scripts:
1. Paddy - kudos - u r the only objective parent of the evil trimurthi
2. DK said - he has only lied to his own pple twice (Savita for money/gain and Arjun about why mommey left)... So, we should discount the lies not to his own pple (HP, Arohi etc.)... Still liar liar pants on fire.. You lied to Savs about Rupalli and to Arjun about Arohi...
3. The truth... I fear the creatives will play hide-and -seek with us and it for a while longer...
4. There is so so much more about this episode I want to say... but the rest of you have already said it... it 4:44a.m. and I have prep for court today...
@Aakiriti - I too hope they develop the Savita- DK story more... a MU btwn them possible... more likely, DK was a donkey...and she couldn't take the manure!!!
@Minnie: I agree Arjun should forgive him... if for no other reason then with forgiveness comes peace.

@Dew: "Arjun, comes back into actual Arjun mode, the interaction with Arohi was excellent, to say the least.. she made a very visible dent with her silence.. only her eyes spoke for her, which for the most part, she kept averted." Her reaction was handled beautifully, she didn't have much screen time yesterday but her demeanour was all revealing - it had 5 times the impact than a shouting match would've had.

Arjun's scenes on the other hand unravelled his character layer by complex layer- from trying to get a rise out of Arohi, to coming to grips with his suffering to the interaction with his dad - he did a fantastic job for the most part, but he needs to work on his body language.

"His dad was amazing too. I saw the stirrings of guilt on his face so many times yday. He has led his son to the path of destruction, and he knows it. Its not easy to push your only child into a hellfire and see him burn there." Yet, for DK it's obviously easier to destroy his son's life than face his own monsters. It's not enough that he brought up a son who has no faith in himself and no ability to form relationships; he is hell bent on destryoing any chance that Arjun may have to a happy life.

@An: "Though, I wish the dialogues could have been a little more tight and better. A line or two of brilliance and then mediocrity. " Agree completely! It was a bit dragging in parts.

"Creativity is real hard work and damn demanding, it takes a lot out of you... more than the actors, creatives work hard. It's mentally taxing and exhausting ... so hats off to them for delivering something for us to watch everyday." Aaj yeh change of heart kaise?!😆

I agree that it must be a hell of a job putting together an episode a day; I wonder if they could plan schedules so they could shoot a week's sequence in advance so technicalities like editing could be handled better.

@ Anjana: Brilliant Analysis again. Yep, he was not fiddling with his cell-phone, but trying to call her...

@Lata: Remembered this quote: " I have yet to come across a monument erected to a critic." 😆 Cannot recall who said it ..., Oscar Wilde I guess though not sure. If you can, please let me know. 😊

I like to see the view from the other side also... so at times, might have a different opinion than my usual blabberings...

@lovely: am glad that you agree with me....I SO want the Savita-DK story to be out in the open now.....

@Minnie:

"I remember when Savita came accusing DK in the Rupali case, she knew in her heart that DK still loved her and no one else :) Today.. too I felt DK's anger with Savita is more on ego and principle issues than anything else.. He still loves her.. but its this long drawn out informal custody battle over their child.. Once thats resolved I hope both parents come to the rescue of their hurting child.. I want them to get back together.."

I SO agree with you on the last point...I really want DK & Savita to be there for their Son, but while Arjun will graciuosly accept Savita's help, I doubt he'll so much as LOOK at DK when the Truth is finally out...remember, Arjun is a character of Extremes...when he thought Arohi betrayed him, he lashed out at her and how.....just imagine WHAT he'll do when he realizes that the Person he had Trusted for his ENTIRE life, is the one who has shattered his Hopes & Dreams, let alone the fact that he poisoned him (Arjun) against his own Mom!!!!

@Neha:

"I'm going to smile and make you think I'm happy, I'm going to laugh, so you don't see me cry, I'm going to let you go in style, and even if it kills me - I'm going to smile."

That was BEAUTIFULLY put!!! Like Ria says, it captured the shows essence so well!!!

@Lavi:

"well atleast we shud b happy that he cares about his son and his lyfe caz as we saw in the precap he is hurting inside..... he moans to mohan about wat is happening!! and how he is only hiding the truth from his son for his own good.... the problem in a mans lyfe is dat they always seem to find an excuse for wat they do... they always back up wat they are doing b it rong or right they hav their own reasons and these reasons pile on top of thier emotions and affection they have for thier families and friends which makes them blind to evrything except wat they want....."

Oh, I like SO agree....pehle khud apni Life ko Complicate karte hain, aur phir whisky/beer/vodka etc mein apne-aap ko drown karke Liver Sclerosis diagnos karvaate hain....*Aakriti shakes her head*

@Lata: Thank you!!! I always look forward to your comments on my posts!!! Love reading them!!

"I would REALLY like the Creatives to work on the Savita-DK story now, it has great potential too…." Me too...this could be so well portrayed and a good way to utilise these brilliant actors..so wish they don't mess this all up!"

Seconded!!!

"One thing I like about KMH is that the story is essentially about a boy so deeply affected by his parents' separation. It's a difficult and complicated subject, and I hope the creatives handle it with care."

I know, I agree with you...this IS different!!! Its so saddening to watch a boy, a MAN to be so deeply flawed just because his parents couldn't see beyond their respective egoes........

@Sonia: OH my God!!! Your FF left me with cutis anserina (gooseflesh) all over......I swear, this is THE best FF I've ever come across...and SO sad.....

"Ek baar rukne ko keh ke to dekhte Arjun"
This line is the Very Essence of this story......and it applies to both Arjun & DK, as Anjana says, they both Love the women in their respective lives dearly, but fail fail to grasp the fact that the other COULD also be feeling the same way!!! And the beauty of it lies in the sadness that surrounds THAT one fact.....again, we come to the tag-line of the show, "A Love so strong, it tore them apart"....

@Anjana: Thank you!!! Waiting for your Post-Watch Analysis and your views on the White!!!

@Nups:

"To Arjun I say.......The ONLY thing you need to PULL yourself out of this dump is a kickass attitude & some respect for the LIFE GOD has given you.......
So LOVE yourself......learn to TRUST your instincts....your heart......your intution.........& LOVE your LOVE!!!"

Amen to that!!!!

@Karishma: Your DK=DD proof, I mean the pic, has given me a stomach-ache, am laughing so hard!!!! Oh My!!!
That was BRILLIANT!!!! Keep it up, we surely need all this hilarity now, more than ever...especially at what's lurking ahead this week and the coming days (read Arjun's realization and all)

@Lovabletwins:

"Words would only fail her.. her sadness is one of khamoshi... sometimes there is more power in silence...Its sheds such a veil of darkness. "
BEAUTIFULLY put!!! I concur!!!

@Pinks: Loved your take girl!!! Welcome Back!!!

@Anut: You posts are breif but BANG ON!! they tug at the right chords of the heart...its beautiful the way you sum up your feelings in a song.....

"So what if the tears in your eyes
Are daggers to my heart
So what if your screaming silences
Tear me apart

So what if your slow death today
Killed me too
So what if everything within tells me otherwise
Yes, I never ever loved you "

This left me in tears......

@Manisha: I Loved your FF too...it shows that you are touched by what you saw on screen yesterday......I too had a lump in my throat when I finished reading the Arjun-Nutt-aha-Engagement-Scenario!!!

@An:

"Creativity is real hard work and damn demanding, it takes a lot out of you... more than the actors, creatives work hard. It's mentally taxing and exhausting ... so hats off to them for delivering something for us to watch everyday."
I second that!!!

@Mehr: *hugs and nudges*....As usual, your Quote of the Day just sumed-up the Entire episode so nicely...Loved it!!! *throws flowers at Mehr*

"Between today and yesterday, we saw this color in all its glory. Innocence when Arohi was racing in the rain...Purity of heart in the elevator scene... hope when she gave him her heart to him ...death when he annihilated that love with his cruel words...and ultimately Peace...solace that only crying (alone silently) can bring when you are dying..."
