Chapter 4,
Arjun was the first one to arrive in the office that day. Even though everything was locked, he waited in his car just in front of the main entrance. Not even one staff was at the office at this time. Being early, he knew very well he would be able to protect Arohi. It was 8:00am and everyone would arrive at the office at 8:30. From what he had heard, they wanted to capture Arohi just before 8:30, outside the office, so nobody would see them take her, but being parked right there he knew he would be able to save her. Minutes passed slowly, and staff were arriving to the office. Hearing a knock on his car window, he slid the window down. 'Arjun? Yaar what are you doing at the office this early? I've got the keys, come in" Jay, who worked at the same office, kept nagging Arjun to come inside, but Arjun refused. "No, i'm fine here. I will enter when Ma'am comes." Jay walked away into the building while Arjun still waited. It was already 8:30 and ma'am hasn't still arrived? Arjun's mind began getting worked up until he saw from the side mirror Arohi's car pull up in the car park...along with a white van behind hers. He didn't need to see who was in there, because he knew what purpose and why they were there for.
As Arohi locked her car, she turned around to walk into the building until she felt her arm being pulled towards the same man she saw yesterday. He turned her body so it faced him. Arohi saw five other men standing behind him "Arohi Sharma, where do you think your going?" The man smirked and gave a evil smile, knowing that she couldn't escape. Arohi began panting hard, and just as she went to scream for help, he put his hand over her mouth and put her in a sudden headlock. "No one's going to save you now, your coming with me" Arohi felt herself being dragged roughly, she found it hard to breath as the man's hand covered half of her face. All she heard was, "Common, help me get her into the van". Arjun knew this was the time, the time to get out and teach all these idiots a lessons. He looked at the side mirror and saw the men standing right behind his car. He put the engine on and slowly narrowing his eyes, placed his hand on the driving wheel and reversed backwards. The men realized that the car was coming towards them and they hurried to the edge panicking. Arjun plastered a big smile on his face by seeing all the men's faces. He switched his engine off, and opened his car door and stepped out. Arohi was still struggling beside the man that held her. Arjun saw the energy she was putting in escaping but she had no luck. Arjun walked over the the man who held Arohi, his back faced to Arjun. "Leave her" Only two words came out of Arjun's mouth. The man raised his eyebrow and turning around he saw the face he had seen yesterday. Arohi had recognised that voice, she knew that voice was familiar. They blindfolded her and cover her mouth with cloth, and she felt herself being thrown around like a ball. The man threw Arohi into one of his gang members arms.
"I'm warning you, whoever you are, leave quietly and just forget that you ever came here, otherwise trust me, not even your family will be able to recognise you that's how badly i will be finishing with you." Arjun crossed his arms and waited for a reply. The man glared at Arjun, he was going to lash out any minute Arjun thought, and his prediction was correct. The man raised his arm, with his fists clenched together. Arjun saw that it was aimed to him, and quickly grabbed his fist and twisted his whole arm which made the man turn around immediately. Arjun twisted it harder, and sudden whimpers came out the man. "Tell your men to leave her, now, or i'll break your hand" Arjun held on tight to his arm, as he told his men to leave Arohi. They let Arohi go quick, and Arjun demanded them to untie her blindfolds which they did quick too. Arohi stood opposite Arjun, who had the man in pain. Arohi had tears pouring down her cheeks. "Arjun just let him go" she cried. "Not until he apologizes to you, i will not let him go" Arohi cried harder, "Please Arjun, just let him go" Arjun ignored her, and kept repeating "Say sorry to her" to the man. He was in too much pain and eventually it came out his mouth. He apologized to her and that very second Arjun let go of his hand. " Get out here, and don't show your face here again" The man jumped into the van with his friends and drove away, leaving a scared and frightened Arohi crying. Arohi ran straight into Arjun's arms. She didn't think about what she was doing, she just felt the need to being protected. Arjun was astonished by her move as he looked down at her slowly he lifted his arms up to bring them around her. He knew how this was going to turn out, she was being targeted and he had no clue why. Was it because she was famous?
As Arohi hugged him, she quickly opened her eyes and realized what she was doing. Within seconds she pulled away, and took two step back. "I-im sorry" Arohi stammered her words out slowly and looked the opposite direction. She wiped her tears and looked at Arjun. "How did you know they were going to try hurting me?" Arjun filled her in with everything, telling her what he had overheard and what there plan was. Arohi was in total shock and just as she went to speak Arjun interrupted her. "Ma'am, is it okay if i ask why they were trying to hurt you? I mean, it's fine if you don't want to say..." "No, it's fine. He had threatened me a month ago, to give him money or else he would hurt my family. I gave him the money, but he kept coming back. And yesterday, the day you saw him come into my office i refused in giving him anything. He said he would come back, and he did, today...If it weren't for you, i don't know what would of happened" Tears began forming hey eyes again but Arjun quickly changed the subject. "Umm ma'am what do you want me to do? There must be some work for your PA!" Arohi smiled and shook her head, "Actually, i'm going home, i don't feel too well, so you may as well go home too, there's no need to be here right now" Arjun thanked god in his head, Wow saving Arohi was going to bring me so many advantages! He thought happily. Arohi grabbed her car keys sat down in the car. Arjun had already left, as he couldn't wait to get home and just rest. Arohi just sat in the car, looking the the mirror. She looked a right state, her mascara running down, her eye-liner all smudged and tear lines across her cheek. As she sorted her make-up out she drove herself home.
"Bhai! Your home already?" Khushi said as she opened the door. "Oh no, you haven't been sacked again have you bhai!" Khushi shook her head in disappointment until she heard a laugh. "Khushi, i'm not that bad okay! My boss gave me the day off" He said proudly. He sat himself down on the sofa, resting his legs up and getting all cosy at home. "Arohi Sharma gave you the day off? Are you kidding?" Khushi sat down near Arjun wanting to know why all of a sudden she gave Arjun a day off. Arjun told Khushi everything and Khushi had such a big smile on her face. "Bhai, you know theres a saying, Only good things come to people who do good deeds, now you watch, you'll be getting something very good in your life coming" Arjun smiled to himself, and replied with just a 'Hmmm'. He just couldn't stop thinking of Arohi, the fear in her eyes. She was petrified of the goon. She always acted brave, strong and independent, but inside really she was scared, and nervous and her true colours began showing. Images of her kept running through his mind. Why am i thinking of her that much? She's safe and secure now, there's no need in thinking about her! Arohi walked into her bedroom and just threw herself on her bed. She was shocked how people could stoop so low into hurting someone. Just forget it, your fine now, nothings going to happen. Just cool down... She reassured to herself she was fine and safe. Putting everything aside in her mind, she laid back on her bed and put the TV on. As she skipped channels she came across the news headlines. "Arohi Sharma the superstar is caught hugging her P.A" Arohi's eyes grew wide as a picture of her and Arjun hugging each other outside her office building.
