Jazzy di!🤗Here's hoping you have more time, ohh your lucky no more clinical hours, I'm still doing hours at the hospital and it's fun and all but sometimes the day never ends. i only dont have clinical this semester...starting in april...omg...that is my main class and my main rotation 😕😕😕...but i think it will be fun...at least i hope so 😃😃...🤗...so...kaise ho? 😉
As usual, amazing, fabulous, awesome, fantastic, excellent, DIVINE! It was a really sweet part, loved reading it, I don't think there is another ff I wait as impatiently to read, don't know how I do it, but these types of updates make it completely worthwhile! aww...you are making me blush 😳😳....well...you will be happy that im updating so soon...no monthly delays this time...😛😛
I love Preet.☺️Just the way you described him, I mean any girl has to be paagal not to be heads over heels. Though Heer is another story, and I refuse to believe you will seperate Prem and Heer so I am dreading to see Preet's reaction when heer sadly leaves him. Ohh can I sense a poilte but heated discussion between Prem and Preet, with sarcasam being used to an extreme?? Ohhhh *rubs hands* Ab aayga maaza! But on a serious note, I am completly ready to take over Heer's place in Preet's life.😍 hey...its not always so simple...the guy can be the best guy in the world...you you dont have feelings like that...trust me...i know...😭😭...preet is based on my ex...whom i dumped...when i realized what i had given up...he was engaged...so...in pure indian drama style...i planned his wedding and honeymoon ...ill keep you in mind for the future Mrs. Preet Singh...ill need to see a bio-data first though 😆😆😆
The sister's relationship is just amazing!! The way you described it was really well done! Oh wow, Prem has a big....bed was it? Cool. King sized? *angel face* Wanna tell me what Rash and Heer were thinking? I'm so lost.🤣 aare...if you are really lost...lets keep it that way...i dont want to be responsible for corrupting the worlds population 😉😉
Awww Aarav my baby🤗He was only there for 5 sentences, but that's ok, he rocked it!😎 lmao...you counted what aarav had to say...😆😆...so sweet...i love him too!! 😳
Waiting to see what will happen now!

Hey Jaz..how have u been??finally an update eh??and it was a nice update indeed!..liked how Heer hasn't ignored Preet's gestures and how her sisters hopped on her to bombard her with questions..looking forward to the next update!!
The next morning Heer woke at the crack of dawn. Well did it really count as 'waking up' if you had only slept for a combined hour all night? Heer threw the covers off her body and sat on the edge of her bed. 'The start of a brand new day' she thought. Her meeting with Prem was behind her, so she didn't have to stress about that. Since she had refused his 'offer', there was no reason he could come looking for her or anything like that. She could just start the day off on a positive note.
An hour later Heer was showered and dressed; she chose a brown and white skirt, which she paired with a white baby-t-shirt, and matching sandals. Her hair was curled with mousse, tied in a lose pony tail at the base of her neck; and her only jewelry was a pair of diamond stud earrings Preet had give her for her birthday last year.
With a cup of steaming coffee, she made her way to Aarav's room. She slowly opened the door to see that he was still sleeping, his arms and legs out stretched, and sticking out of the covers. A small smile played on her lips as she set her coffee mug down, and fixed it so that Aarav was under the covers.
Picking up her coffee once again, Heer made her way across to the rocking chair that was next to the widow in Aarav's room. She just sat and drank her coffee as she watched her son, the light of her life, sleep in peace. This had become a morning ritual for her. Business was booming and she and Preet were at the store almost everyday; even when they were closed. Today she had to go in and do inventory with Preet. She had been so busy that she barely had time to be with her son. She left before he was awake, and by the time she came back she only had enough time to read him a story and tuck him in.
Seeing that her mug was empty, Heer stood up and went by Aarav's bed. She stroked his head with her hands, and placed a soft kiss on his forehead, before turning and leaving the room to leave for work.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Heer had been wanting to talk to Preet about her meeting with Prem since she got home from that meeting. She wanted to do it last night but couldn't bring herself to tell him that Aarav's father was back; not after all the wonderful things he said about wanting to be Aarav's dad. She thought she could talk to him once she got to work, but that didn't work out either. Preet had said that they needed to get the inventory done as soon as possible, clean out the upstairs storage and make room in the shop for new items. He told her he had a surprise for her, but wasn't going to tell her until they were finished with all their work.
The day flew by in a blur as Heer and Preet worked endlessly at the shop. They chatted and joked around with each other. They had lunch, which consisted of warm grape sodas, two bags of Doritos, and a Baby-Ruth bar split in two. Heer hadn't realized that she had forgotten all about Prem while she was with Preet. It wasn't until Preet suggested they take Aarav to the beach the next day. Heer said that it was a great idea, but quickly changed the subject.
It was almost 5 in the evening when the two of them stopped working and plopped down on two Victorian style chairs in the show room.
"I don't think I have worked so hard since we opened the store," Heer complained.
"Don't worry, it will all pay off. What say, we go get Aarav and have an early dinner?" Preet suggested.
"It's a great idea, but today is Monday. Aarav is with Ashlesha at the library reading books for the kids in the play group," Heer said.
"Oh, I forgot about that. Well then, I guess it's just you and me babe," he said as he stroked her cheek.
"Yes it is. It's better this way, because I need to talk to you about something."
"Me too, I have some good news and a surprise for you but how about we talk over dinner. I think we can both use showers after today."
"Hey! Are you implying that I smell?" Heer said in mock horror with one hand on her chest in disbelief.
"Absolutely!" Preet offered, as Heer's mouth formed the shape of an 'O'. "You smell like sweet pomegranate on a summer evening; inciting and tempting," he finished saying, and then leaned in and kissed her sweetly on the lips. "I'm sure I don't smell anything near that, so let ME go shower, and pick you up from your house in...oh...how about one hour?"
"Nice save Mr. Singh, and yes...that sounds perfect." Heer smiled.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Heer went home and quickly showered; because even though Preet might not think so, she knew...she was ripe. She chose a pair of black capri-trousers and a violet silk top she had purchased from Charlotte Rousse a few weeks ago. She put kohl around her eyes, a swish of mascara, and a dab of nude lip-gloss. She kept the diamond studs in her ears, added a tear drop pendant and black crystal-beaded bracelets on her wrist. She heard Preet's car pull up, so she quickly grabbed her purse and put on her heels.
She pulled open the front door to see Preet walking up the steps. He was dressed in black slacks and an olive green shirt, the top two buttons left open; it was a stark contrast to the dusty, worn out jeans and plane white t-shirt he had worn this afternoon. A smile appeared on Heer's face just like the one that was on Preet's face. Heer put her hands on her hips and looked Preet up and down, as if to inspect him. After giving him a once-over, she looked up at him and crooked up one eyebrow and gave him a questioning look.
"So? Do I pass the test?" he asked jokingly, his arms out stretched in a funny pose.
"I must say Mr. Singh, you do clean up very nicely," Heer admitted.
"Well, Ms. Maan, you are too kind." He held his hand forward towards Heer, "Shall we?"
Heer just giggled and placed her hand in his as they headed for the car.
"Now you two behave!" came a voice behind them.
Heer and Preet turned to see half of Meher's body sticking out of a second floor window, a mischievous
look in her eyes.
"And I expect her home at a decent hour Mr. Singh!" she yelled.
"Of course Ms. Meher, I wouldn't think of anything more," Preet yelled up to her.
Ashlesha came to the window and tried to pull Meher inside. "Sorry Didi, you two go ahead and have fun, I'll manage Ms. Meher."
They both waved to the girls upstairs and turned to leave, but heard Ashlesha's voice once again, "Just make sure I see that lip gloss on your lips when you get home Didi. Mr. Singh should have more then enough to eat at the restaurant."
Saying that Ashlesha and Meher both went back inside, but their laughter could be heard even outside. Preet's cheeks had a hint of a blush on them as did Heer's.
"Looks like Meher is rubbing off on our innocent Ashlesha," Preet said, still smiling.
"I have to do something about that. One loud-mouth, annoying sister is enough...I don't need another one," Heer said.
"I think it's cute how they tease you."
"Oh you do, do you?"
"Yes I do."
"May I ask why? Because it seems that you are often teased along with me."
"Yeah, that is no fun," Preet admitted "...but still. When they tease you, you blush...and love it when you blush; especially when I am the cause behind it," he whispered in her ear.
"Preet, stop it," Heer said, and blushed even harder.
"Yep...that's the blush," He said and then kissed her heated cheeks.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Preet and Heer went to a small Japanese restaurant, Sushi Mac, because they were both rather fond of sushi. Usually they went to Benihanas but with Aarav. Aarav loved when the cooks did tricks for him on the open grill. They went more for Aarav's enjoyment then for the food. If Aarav wasn't with them, they usually went other places. The waitress escorted Preet and Heer to a small table out on the patio. It was lit with candles, and soft music playing in the back ground. They ordered their food; vegetable/shrimp tempura, spicy tuna roll, sashimi, tempura California roll, and an order of teriyaki beef for Preet and steamed goyza (soy beans) for Heer.
They were enjoying light conversation and tea when their food arrived. They both dug in immediately, because both were famished. After a few minutes Heer knew that she had to talk to him now - it was now or never.
"Preet, I need to talk to you," Heer started.
"What is it Heer, is everything alright?" he asked with concern. Heer's mood went from content to stress filled in a matter of seconds, and he saw that.
"I guess so. It's just that...well...Aarav's dad is in town and I went to meet him last night, before our dinner," She said quickly.
Preet stiffened a bit and asked, "Does he want to see Aarav?"
"I didn't tell him about Aarav. We talked about...other things."
"Are you planning on telling him about Aarav while he is here?"
"No. As far as I'm concerned...he didn't want Aarav then, he surely won't want him now." Preet looked at her silently for a while, so Heer spoke again, "I know it seems wrong not telling him but it was the right decision for me and my son. I did what I had to do. And I didn't tell you before because....."
Preet placed a hand on her hand and gave it a squeeze. He leaned in a bit over the table and said, "You don't have to explain anything to me remember, I was there four years ago. You put your child above all else back then, just like you still do today. I supported you then, and I will support you now. Always know Heer, no matter what happens...I'm here for you. Always."
His words dripped with understanding, compassion, tenderness and love. A single tear escaped her eyes but Preet's thumb brushed it away before it fell. "Hey, no tears, they don't suit you."
"First I smell and now I'm ugly," Heer grinned behind her watery eyes.
"Never...you can never be ugly. You can cry buckets, have hair like a birds nest, weigh 500 pounds and dress like they did in the '50's for all I care, you would still be the most beautiful girl on the planet. But those tears, they hurt me more then you can imagine," he kissed her hand.
"Oh Preet!" The tears now came, and Heer could do nothing to stop them. But were they tears of sadness, confusion or joy...she had no idea.
Suddenly Heer heard Preet coughing. She turned to see that his face a red and he was coughing really bad. While reaching for a glass of water she noticed a chunk of wasabi missing from their tray (FYI- Wasabi is a paste made from horse-radish that they use with sushi. Only small amounts are supposed to be used. You know you have used too much when you feel like there is a fire inside your head as soon as you put it in your mouth. It brings tears to your eyes in an instant, and it wears off quickly but it seems like forever. It is really intense). A smile spread on her face. "You didn't have to do that you know."
"Yeah, well it was worth it; brought the smile back to your face didn't it?" he chocked out in between coughs.
Heer just looked down smiling and blushing.
"Umm...Heer really...water!" Preet pleaded
"Oh my God...sorry...here," she handed him the water.
Once Preet was back to normal, Heer looked at him and laughed her heart out. He was so childish, and his face was so funny when the wasabi was throwing out its side effects in full force. Soon Preet joined her and laughed at himself.
They both enjoyed a nice dinner together. Preet had finally revealed his surprise to Heer. Apparently there was someone that had just inherited family heirlooms that they didn't care to keep. They had decided to donate them all to Old Treasures, no cost. From the pieces that Preet described, Heer couldn't wait to inspect them. The gentle man had called early that morning and came by to set it up with Preet. Both Heer and Preet were looking forward to this business deal.
After dinner they went for ice cream, before Preet dropped Heer off at home. They walked to her front door hand in hand, in silence. Preet was about to say something when his phone rang. "Excuse me," he said and went to take the call.
"Yes sir...of course, tomorrow morning 9:00am sharp...I'm sorry...well I suppose that can be arranged...yes...yes...consider it done...yes I have the address on the business card you brought by this afternoon...yes I look forward to working with you as well...thank you...good night sir."
Once he hung up Heer asked, "Who was that?"
"That was the man who is giving us his family heirlooms. He called to make sure that you were there at 9:00am sharp."
"Oh...wait...'me'?" Heer asked, confused.
"Yeah, his one request is that only you go over and check out the pieces."
"But why just me, why not you too? I don't like this Preet; we don't even know who it is," she
complained.
"Actually he told me he knew your family, he mentioned both your parents' names."
"Really?" Heer asked, now heavily confused. "Who is it?"
"It's..."he paused and instead took out a business card and handed it to Heer. "Why don't you find out for yourself," He finished with enthusiasm.
Heer nearly dropped the card when she read the name on it. It was the same card that her mom had handed her the day before; it belonged to Prem Jhuneja. The address scribbled on the back was 1450 Canopy Lane , only 15 minutes from her home. Her mind began running wild with thoughts, she only came back to reality when Preet called her.
"Huh?" she grunted.
"Are you ok Heer?"
"Yeah...I'm fine...just umm...tired I guess."
"Well in that case, I won't hold you too long." He leaned over and kissed her on the lips. "Good night babe."
"Good night," Heer replied, almost automatically...in a robot like sate.
"Remember, tomorrow...9:00am sharp," he yelled over his shoulder as he left.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Prem snapped his cell phone shut and gave a smile of victory. He convinced Preet Singh to send his fianc to the Jhuneja Estate all by herself. Little did he know that his fianc had a deep running connection with the Jhuneja's...Prem Jhuneja to be precise.
He had gone to some sushi restaurant with his lawyers and his father's lawyers to discuss legal matters. He had already been seated and didn't notice people coming in or going out; not until a flash of purple color caught his eyes. The first thought on his mind was 'That's one of Heer's favorite colors.' When he looked in that direction it surprised him to see that it was in fact Heer that was wearing that color. The silky top clung to her curves in all the right places. The form fitting pants showing off her round bottom and luscious hips. His thoughts came to a dead halt when he realized some one hand their hand around her, resting on her hips. He looked up, and sure enough...it was Mr. Singh.
Anger rose in Prem's body as he watched them being led to their table, then watched Preet pull out Heer's chair for her. Once Heer was seated, Preet took the opportunity to kiss her on the cheek before taking his own seat. Prem wanted so badly to take the hot tea pot and hurl it right at his head.
As if that wasn't bad enough...the entire night was filled with PDA (public displays of affection) between the two of them. More hand holding, kissing etc. At one point Prem was about to jump off of his seat and pummel the jack-ass, because he saw Heer cry. Then he watched as Preet murmured something that made Heer smile and blush a bit. Once that blush had only been for him, but he had lost it. Then he saw Heer laugh, whole heartedly just laugh. She seemed happy, and he had to admit, I seemed to be because of the Preet fellow.
He wanted Heer, he had to have her. Prem Jhuneja always got what he wanted; it was only a matter of time. He knew how to get Heer back for the time being. He was going to use the raw sexual tension between them to lure her back to him. The deal he made with Preet was the first step in that direction.
