As Additi was chosen to play the role of a widow in an episodic and then later in Zee TV's popular show but it seems that she is not too keen on doing such typecast roles as she says, "I don't know why I'm getting such kinds of roles. After my Zee show ended, I think I'm being typecast in portraying such characters on-screen."
Though Additi was very much praised for the portrayal of her widow role, she says that she wants to go beyond Saas-Bahu saga and wants to try something different on-screen, "For my widow's role, I got a reply saying you did a wonderful job in that show'. I want to get out of this. I'm done with Saas-Bahu shows and want to do something different."
Post her cameo, Additi is relaxing and spending quality time with her family and friends, "These days I'm chilling at home, watching TV and spending some good time with family and friends," she says.
So what kinds of roles is Additi looking forward to play on-screen? "I'm willing to act in love stories as I feel the audience will connect with these tracks. Thus I did Yeh Hai Aashiqui," says Additi.
Since Comedy shows are riding high these days and are also appreciated a lot by the audience, when asked Additi if she is eager to act in a comedy show or not, this is what she says, "I don't think that I can pull this very well. Comedy is not my cup of tea. I want to do a role where I'm not making people cry or laugh out loud; in short I want to act which is very simple and neutral."
While in the past Additi and Harshad's chemistry during Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil was being much talked about, on meeting her long lost good friend Harshad Chopra recently, Additi says that she spent a good time chatting with him, "Yes a news channel had arranged for it and it was nice meeting him after a long time. From past sometime, I had not been able to contact Harshad but finally we met and it was good to chat with him."
Additi is not keen to talk about her problems and says that she is not aware of when she and Harshad would feature together in a show, "Well it's too personal to talk and I don't want to talk about it. I'm in a situation where people talk bad things from everywhere. We have hundreds of fans where some like to see us together and vice-versa. So it's better that I keep mum about whether we will do a show in future or not."
We hope to see Additi acting on-screen soon!
'FINANCIAL FREEDOM IS VERY IMPORTANT'
Sushant Singh Rajput, who has made it to a famous list of achievers compiled by a business magazine talks about the significance of money
I would like to emulate the perfection and intelligence of Aamir (Khan). " Sushant Singh Rajput, actor
At a time when Bollywood is bursting at the seams with young talent, Sushant Singh Rajput has made a mark for himself. After delivering two hit films last year " Kai Po Che and Shuddh Desi Romance " the actor has now made it to the prestigious 30 Under 30 list (he is the lead in the entertainment category) that is compiled by a reputed business magazine.
Here, he talks to us about making it to this club at the age of 27 and what it takes to deal with the money and fame that accompany his job as a Bollywood star:
How important is the money, and the luxuries that it can buy? I won't deny that financial freedom is very important.
It gives you the freedom to make choices, to say yes' to the films you really want to do. It gives you the courage to take a risk. Also when you look around, you feel great especially when you've grown up in a middle-class family, but it's extremely important that we don't work for these things (money), if we work for passion and love, everything follows.
Among the other actors who are under 30, who do you look consider your biggest competitor?
Ranveer (Singh), Arjun (Kapoor), Ayushmann (Khurrana),Varun (Dhawan), Sidharth (Malhotra), Aditya Roy (Kapur), Rajkummar (Rao)... did I miss anyone? They all have great potential and it is also because of them that the structure of our scripts and the kind of films we are making is changing now.
There must be someone from this lot who has impressed you the most?
Then it has to be Rajkummar Rao. He's a fabulous actor and he has achieved everything in life with sheer hard work and talent.
Who are the other achievers (in Bollywood) you look up to and want to emulate?
I would like to emulate the perfection and intelligence of Aamir (Khan), the charisma and passion of Shah Rukh Khan, Irrfan's (Khan) skill and Hrithik's (Roshan) decision. And there are so many other things that inspire me. Many feel that among the young actors, you are the most promising one. Are you aware of this expectation people have of you? Yes, I am. And I feel excited every time I hear it. To make a promise is a good start, but to keep that promise is the most exciting and challenging part... and that starts now.
How does it feel to have topped the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list this early in your career?
I am really excited. I recently saw Shah Rukh Khan on the cover (of this magazine) as he had topped India's most powerful celebrity list and I was wondering what it would be like to feature in one such list. Then very quickly, I stopped entertaining that idea thinking that it would take me many more years. But this is a great validation for me to keep working hard and dreaming big.
Does this put any kind of pressure on you?
No, why would it? On the contrary, such things only encourage you. You realise that it doesn't matter whether you are from the industry or not. If you are absolutely certain, you can achieve your potential.
It must feel good to know that you're on the right path now?
It has definitely reinforced my beliefs. But I have a long way to go. All our conditioning has made us extra careful; we're always told not to be different and not to make mistakes. But I would rather make big mistakes and fail miserably, than work for mediocre success.
Prem - Heer - One of the much loved debutant Jodi in Star Plus' Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil was loved by the youngsters as charming Harshad Chopra won young girl's hearts and his chemistry with Additi Gupta was very well presented in the show
Additi Gupta who was seen in Badalte Rishton ki Daastan on Zee TV - "I was never interested in cricket, in fact when my parents used to watch match at home, I used to scold them as I feel its waste of time. I used to say that everyone can predict what's going to happen after every 2 balls. But when she was offered to play for BCL and when I started playing I actually realized that it's so much fun in this game. I love doing fielding and balling because batting is not my cup of tea. Bat hi itna bhari hota hai ki who uth ta hi nai mujhse (laughs). Currently I am playing for Box Cricket League for the team Babu Moshaaye and I stay back and work as per given command because our team has a very good players.

Additi Gupta, last seen as Nandini in Zee TV's Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan: "I am supposed to say 'Yes' as one should vote but I won't be able to go to Bhopal where I am registered. I haven't stayed in Mumbai for 10 years so I can't have my voter's id here. It's sad that we take pains to vote but the people whom we are voting for never take any pain for us. It is sad that the new leader who forms the government never solves our problems. I have stayed in so many places and the condition of roads and the developments that a citizen expects is not there. Especially for women there is no security which we really require these days. In small cities such things are not being taken care of and nobody is going there to see what kind of development is needed. In the advertisements, we are seeing that India has developed a lot these years but sadly it's not true. Instead of making just fabulous advertisements, they should put in more effort to make things better."

As we know that our TV celebs are much conscious about their figure, but they never miss a chance to enjoy the delicacies of their favorite food whenever they get a chance. Our Telly celebs love to be known as a foodie. One such food lover is the beautiful actress Additi Gupta, who was last seen as Nandini in Zee TV's Badalte Rishton ki Daastan.
Here's Additi sharing her love for food...
Are you a foodie?
In a way; I balance myself. When I think that I am getting fat then I stop eating otherwise I keep on eating without thinking about it.
Which is your most preferred cuisine?
Road side cuisines.
Your favorite mouth-watering dish?
Momos. I go to Nom Nom in Versova to have Momos. I can't go alone so I always insist people to go to Nom Nom.
Which restaurant do you prefer the most?
I am okay with everything; I just prefer having good food. I am really bad at ordering stuffs and my friends are such foodies that they only order everything and choose the place too. I just go with them. it all depends upon my friends' choice. I just tell them what I want to have and then they only decide about everything.
Do you like spending time in the kitchen?
Yes, I do but not really right now. Earlier when my parents weren't living here then I had no choice other than going to the kitchen and cook something because I can't eat every day out. That time I found that I am really fond of cooking. It's like a kick that when you cook something, you want everybody to eat it. The victims have been my friends and close people and it's a rule that you have to say good things about it. If they used to say bad things about it then I never used to call them back again. They used to be blacklisted. Now, my parents are here with me and I really don't get time to get into the kitchen because my Mom is there. I don't like any interference while cooking who will suggest me to do something. My Mom suggests me a lot. Though its really helpful but I don't like that (smiles). I like it my way. I don't like people saying to me that you are so messy. If I am messy then let it be; I am messy in a good way and I am happy about it.
Your most memorable kitchen moment, be it happy or a disastrous one?
When I was 3 years old then once I just went crawling in the kitchen. Back then, we used to have such a big kitchen that we used to eat in the kitchen only. We used to sit on the floor and eat. My Mom was preparing food and she was about to serve. Then I came crawling there and my Mom had kept the cooker on the floor which was very hot. I went there and I sat on it and after that I could not sit properly for some weeks. My Mom dad told me everything about it as how it all did happen.
Which is your favorite quick cheap healthy meal?
Sukha Bhel. Though people don't call it healthy but according to me it's healthy.
If you would have to take a celebrity for a dinner date then who would it be?
Whoever would like to come with me can join me. I have no particular choice.
Anwesha Kamal
