Additi's bit:

Additi Gupta: Gujiya is my favorite Holi food. My mom always makes Gujiyas just for me because I love it. I can have Gujiyas anytime because I love sweets. Another thing my mom used to make was Katori Chat. She used to make it in bulk and all our family members used to have it. However, my first favorite will always be Gujiya.

Scrutiny: I will never ever writeanautobiography:Additi Gupta

Cute and bubbly Additi Gupta had become a household name by essaying the lead character of Heer in the popular soap 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil'. The actress is currently as Nandini in Zee TV's 'Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan'. When we asked her would she ever write autobiography she laughed and said, "NO WAYS!! I will never ever write autobiography or allow anybody to write my biography." According to Additi her life has no interesting twist and turns which would make an autobiography appealing. "There is no masala in my life; it's quite simple. Readers will get bored after reading my autobiography. I personally don't feel there is anything worth writing about my life," said Additi. We agree Additi till now your life is simple, sober and not interesting enough to pen down in a biography or autobiography. But you never know the future might add some spice in your life. Well you hav to agree that you are truly an inspiration to many

I found the character of Nandini very challenging: Additi Gupta

Additi Gupta aka Nandini of Ravi Ojha's Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan talks about her character in the show and also answers questions posed to her by her fans on India forums...

Additi Gupta, who won over the viewers after playing different characters like Heer, Pihu, Harmony talks to us about how she feels now that the show Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan is coming to an end!

What are your views about the sudden end of Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan?

All the actors are very sad about it but it was not in our hands; they have to take the decision. We are unhappy but it doesn't make any sense in feeling bad about the things which are not in our hands. We started working on the show with lots of passion and scope. We had a lot of expectations like all others have at the beginning of their show but the result didn't came out well.

The character of Nandini was very different from what you played earlier. Any difficulty you faced to get into this character?

Yes, I did face some problems but it's all because of Rakesh sir that I understood her way of speaking, her jealousy portion, etc. He related all the characters to real life and made everyone understand about small things which are relatable to our life. When these small things come together then it makes a character much better. I found the character of Nandini very challenging; it was a role of a widow which I found difficult to play because I am quite opposite to Nandini.

What will you be missing the most about your show?

Each day on the sets was like a class for everyone, in which we all got to learn something. I will miss my schedulers because we were given a lot of leaves which any actor hardly gets while doing a daily soap. I will miss everybody on the sets because everybody has contributed something or the other. We will keep in touch with each other and keep meeting.

Which has been your toughest scene till date?

It has to be scene in Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan itself. Nandini comes to know about the affair of Meera (Sanjeeda Shaikh) and Ani (Abhinav Shukla), where the entire family comes and Shyama (Richa Sony) makes Nandini understand saying, "Koi fark nahi padega' and Nandini says, "Fark padta hai didi." The dialogues of this scene were very difficult and I was not able to memorise the lines easily. The lines were about mangalsutra and sindoor which were very difficult and in another scene, I have to shout a lot on Meera and my director wanted some sarcasm in the scene. I was not comfortable saying sarcastic lines.

What inspires you to sketch?

Nothing inspires me but whenever I become bored of acting and my life becomes monotonous, then sketching is the only thing which breaks it. I sketch to feel better.

What is the hardest part of being a celebrity according to you?

Some people say that insecurities that come in an actor are the hardest part of being a celebrity! When one overcomes these insecurities and really doesn't care what's happening that is when one achieves something in life.

Do you think that Harshiti (Harshad ' Additi) fans are too stubborn and difficult to handle?

They are not difficult to handle but they just don't understand (laughs). They keep messaging to me also and I find that they all are very sweet.

What are your future plans?

An actor cannot decide his/her future plans (laughs). As of now, I don't have any idea about it.

From A Fan's Diary: Harshiti bonding was mesmerizing in 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil'

"KIS DESH ME HAI MERAA DIL", is the ultimate show that ruled viewers' hearts around the globe for one and half year successfully but that wasn't the end. Still people madly love the show because the way it was presented by telly soaps Queen Ekta Kapoor was different from her other shows. You would ask me what that was. Let me tell you...

The heart touching back ground music "Ohh Rabba!.." was itself enough to create that magic in the air at first, then the theme song "Hum hai iss pal yahan.." was an icing on top. When it used to play on lead actors Harshad Chopra and Additi Gupta, they made us feel that the song was only made for them. After that many other shows also used this particular song on their shows but it remained as a song without soul. In 'Kis Desh..' our beloved Harshad-Additi added soul and made viewers feel every word of it with their UN-definable magic of togetherness..

Harshad (Prem)-Additi(Heer) are fondly remembered as Premeer and Harshiti. The two actors did full justice to every scene. When they used to be together; sabka dil garden garden hota tha. They talked and delivered dialogues through their eyes. When their eyes used to meet I used to feel some unknown pleasure within my heart. When they used to do nok-jhok on their interviews, I used to feel how two people can look so amazing together.

They were at the best stage while doing Kis Desh. They were no doubt magical together in it, but as individual also they have proved how brilliantly they can act.

Remember Prem death scene? The way Additi acted to show Heer's condition, the way she cried, the way she showed her facial expressions on-screen was worth an ovation.

The scene when Prem doubts Heer, and creates a mess in restaurant was too good. You can't miss her expression at that time, her pain when her love is insulting her in front of all. That was truly commendable. Must see this scene on Youtube...I can't explain in words...

Harshad Chopda, is no less. He is way above amazing. The way he acted while standing with Heer in front of his family, the way he showed anger of Prem when next lady is beating his lady love Heer in front of him, the way he delivered his dialogues..Aah! I'm sure everyone was clapping hands by sitting in front of their Television sets.

Not only Prem-Heer chemistry, there were so many other relationships in the show which were portrayed beautifully.

Prem's relation with her mom, it was most touching relation of mother-son portrayed by both. Despite she was Prem's step mother, the love and trust they had wasn't seen before on Indian television.

The siblings love between Prem, Preet and Harman was shown in a beautiful way. The bonding they shared was mesmerizing. They always supported each other at every step. The whole world cried when Preet sacrificed his life for Prem.

One more relation which was so pure was Heer- Meher's love and bonding. Normally in every serial you will see sisters falling for same guy and you will see them fighting and plotting against each other. But Kis Desh was the only show in which not at any stage Heer and Meher fought with each other. They were a support system to each other throughout the show.

Bauji was the funniest father who always supported his children.

Daljit Chachi's character was negative, was strongly shown and executed.

Ashlesha, was another strong character and got mixed sort of response, at one time viewers loved her, had sympathy and next hated.

Ahh!..I am turning Nostalgic...missing our Kis Desh, our Harshiti.. har pal har minute..everytime. I really don't know why we love them so much. I cannot express my feelings in words.

Love you Harshad and Additi from core of my heart. I will always remain loyal to my Harshiti in every circumstance...

-Renuka Sharma

I like to stay at home and enjoy the rains: Additi Gupta

TellyBuzz in talks with Additi Gupta to know more about her monsoon experience and her memories realted to monsoon…

Wednesday, July 31, 2013 | 5:58:02 PM IST (+05:30 GMT)

https://www.indiaforums.com/article/i-like-to-stay-at-home-and-enjoy-the-rains-additi-gupta_47644

The chilly breeze, thundering of clouds, the hot Pakoras with tea and the pouring drops from the sky! We all love to enjoy the monsoon season in our own ways. Some like to go out and have fun in the rain while others like to enjoy the rains while sitting at home and having hot pakoras and tea. The beautiful actressAdditi Gupta seems to be one among those!

TellyBuzz got in touch with the actress who was recently seen as Nandini in 'Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan' on Zee TV to know more about her Monsoon masti and her memories related to monsoon.

Let's see what Additi has to share with us.

Rainy season for me is:

Lot of laziness.

Precautions I take during monsoon:

I hate rains so I don't like to go out during rainy seasons. I prefer to sleep at home and enjoy the weather.

My monsoon related memories:

Once my friends Karan Kundra, Kritika Kamra, Mukti Mohan and I went to Lonavala and we were dancing like crazy in the rains. Its like a crazy memory of monsoon for me. It was a lot of fun; we were wet and we came back to Mumbai like that only - shivering!

My likes and dislikes about monsoon:

I like the weather just before it starts raining when the black clouds cover the sky and I dislike going out in the rains as the roads become worst during rains and even if you dress up nicely and go out then also you get your dress spoiled. If I have to just sit at home during rainy season then I like rains.

Favorite place to visit during monsoon:

Pune! It's really a nice place to visit during monsoon. The weather is chilly and the place is well organized and the greenery spread all around makes it look more beautiful.

Things I must carry during monsoon:

I don't carry an umbrella. I carry tissues with me so that if my slipper or feet get spoiled with water and mud then I can clean it.

My favorite monsoon music:

These days I am listening to Shikaaytein from 'Lootera'. It's on repeat on my playlist because I love this song.

My monsoon special food:

I like having the sprouts and protein salads at Lokhandwala Back Road during rains in the evening.

The moment when I enjoyed with my co-stars:

When I was doing 'Sanjog Se Bani Sangini' we used to order for some Bhajiyas during rains and me and Iqbal who used to be great foodies, used to enjoy them.

Monsoon tips for readers:

You will fall ill and get flu and cold during rainy season which is very normal but do take care of yourself and be careful. Take a leave for 3-4 months and enjoy the rains at your home and stay healthy.

Bad with colors but I am good with pencil and black pen: Additi Gupta

Friday, September 20, 2013 | 12:00:55 PM IST (+05:30 GMT) | Copyright: India-Forums.com / TellyBuzz | 32 Comments | 2164 Views

We have seen Additi Gupta showcasing her acting talent on-screen and winning audiences' heart but she has one more talent with which she has already won many hearts and that is - Sketching! The talented actress sketches really well whenever she gets time and gets appreciation from all over for the magic she creates on paper by using a black pen or a pencil. When TellyBuzz quizzed Additi to know more about her sketching skills, we found that drawing classes helped her to grow as a better artist and she holds this passion for sketching since her childhood days.

Let's read on to know more about what this beautiful actress has to share with us regarding her hobby of sketching!

Since how long you are sketching? Have you got any specific training?

I am sketching since my childhood days when I used to go for drawing classes. Sketching used to interest me always so I used to keep asking my Mom to let me join a drawing class. I used to like it so I kept doing it. After that I was doing a course in designing and I learned a major part of sketching from there.

Do you paint also apart from sketching?

No, I am very bad with colors. I just can't handle colors. I am just good with pencil or a black pen.

Have you made a sketch of any of your dear ones?

I haven't created anyone's sketch as yet. My mother keeps on asking me to sketch her as she wants to keep one at her home, but I am bad at it. Earlier I used to sketch everyday but now a days I feel lazy to make a sketch.

What's your idea of sketching: Do you replicate or you sketch with your own thoughts?

I sketch in both the ways; sometimes I replicate and then I make some changes according to my likes. Thinking and drawing is little difficult but I still try because this is where from the whole art and design comes. In colleges we used to do like that only like sometimes just look at the wall and draw something on our own like scenery with a tree or a house. Now, it's a mixture of everything and that is is how I have learned.

Do you sketch in your free time on the sets?

Yes, I used to do! Whenever I used to get a long time in between my shots and I had nothing to do, then I used to open my sketch book and start sketching something on it.

Which has been the best compliment ever received on any of your sketches?

The best one has been - 'How much you are selling it for?'

Are you planning to keep your sketches in any exhibition in future?

No. It's my passion and I have never thought of selling or keeping it in any of the exhibitions. I like doing it so I just do it but yes, I have gifted some of my sketches.

How does sketching satisfy you?

I start with a sketch with lots of thoughts in my mind but when it comes out nice at the end, and when I frame and have a look at it thinking that it has come out nice then I get a nice feeling of satisfaction.
