CHAPTER 2
Meher's phone rang. It was Veera, Meher smiled and picked up the call...
Meher: Hello Veera!
Veera: Hey, Mehu di! Oops, can I call you Mehu? Like Kulraaj di also calls you this from childhood na?
Meher: Haha, sure why not...
Veera: Okay yaaay! So I called you to ask if you all need something? Like we are on our way, Kiran jeeju and Prem bhaiya told me to ask if anything needed for the stayover we can bring?
Meher: Aah, no no Veera...So sweet of you guys but here we are perfectly fine...Just come soon, hmm?
Veera: Okaay Mehu di, bye for now...
Meher: Bye kiddo...
Just then Maya entered Meher's bedroom.
Maya: Whom you have been talking to Meher?
Meher: Oh hey Maya! You are up? I thought you would wake up at dinner...
Maya: Come on Meher, now don't pull my legs so much...I know, I know, I am sorry for making you and Heer didi wait for so long to be with me but I was real tired after the journey...
Meher: Okay okay..*Acts to make a grumpy face and then laughs* Love you and missed you so much...
Maya: Missed you all a lot too sissy! By the way, where are the Junejas? And with whom you were on the phone?
Meher: Oh yeah, I forgot, it was Veera and they are on their way...

Heer and Maya looked at each other and signalled each other with eyes, then they hugged Meher together...Meher at first pretended to be angry and then smiled and hugged her sisters...
While the sisters were having a real good time, suddenly Teji and Pammi called them from downstairs as the door bell rang...They came down running, having a blushing heer followed by Meher and Maya...Balraaj opened the door and there they were, the Juneja kids...This time Kiran and the three cute little kids of him and Kulraaj were there too...Everyone greeted each other...Meher and Maya got busy with the kids while Prem and Heer were busy stealing glances...In all these happening, something did not go out of Preet's sight...It was his brother, Herman. He was so lost staring at Maya that anyone could tell Herman was falling for her...Preet found just a fine topic to suit his jolly and funny nature...
Preet: Herman bhaiya, I think we should consult an eye doctor!
Herman: *Coming out of the trance* Hmm?..Wh..What? But why?! Is everything okay with your eyes Preet? *Worried*
Preet: *chukcling* My eyes?! Just look at your ones, which are just showing one face...Maya, Maya, Maya...Hahahaha...
Herman got red by Preet's words and just hit Preet's head playfully and left or you can say almost ran away...Preet laughed again...
Everything was going very nice, Kulraaj suggested that they should play charades...Everyone agreed. Kulraaj checked on her kids if they were okay playing their games and then she came to join so that they could also start...They all sat down on the floor of the drawing room where Meher had spread a bed sheet for them..They made two teams...It was basically girls vs boys...While playing when it was Herman's turn, he got almost blank in the middle of acting because he was staring at Maya...Preet stood up and took Maya beside Herman...
Preet: Bhai, take her beside you, maybe it will be at least easier for you to act and us to understand...
Herman and Maya both were so embarassed that Maya ran from there saying she was thirsty and Herman went back to his seat where Prem and Kiran teased him...
The game was going on, Maya also came back after a while and it was time for Preet to act out...He stood up and with great confidence looked at Meher, who was supposed to tell him the movie name...Meher whispered the movie name in his ears and Preet gave her a winning smile as if it was so easy to act out..But while Preet was acting it out, Meher noticed that Preet was trying to speak up the words to his team mates while acting...She stood up and hit Preet with a cushion...
Preet: What is the problem Meher?
Meher: You are doing cheating Preet...
Preet: Uh what? No no no..Say PB did I do any cheating? Kiran jeeju? Herman Bhaiya?
Everyone nodded in a negative way...
Meher: They won't agree because they are your team mates...
Kulraaj: Preet is always like that...
Preet: What di? You can't accuse your younger innocent brother like this...*Making innocent baby face*
Meher threw another cushion at Preet to hit him which Preet caught this time...
Heer: Meher what are you doing?
Preet: Bhabi, your sister is a goon...
Meher: Preet, what did you say?!
Meher was about to throw another cushion when Preet ran away holding the other one and Meher ran behind him...
Preet ran upstairs and he entered into Heer's room...He was looking for where he could go then, just when Meher came from behind and tapped on his shoulder, Preet looked back and Meher started trying to snatch the cushion from his hands to hit him...In order to snatch back the cushion Preet pulled it towards him and suddenly Meher was also pulled along with it, the cushion fell down and Preet's back hit the wall as Meher fell on him...Meher hugged Preet to save herself from falling...Preet to handle her and himself too, held her in his arms...After few moments, they both realised in which position they were in...Meher immedietly broke the hug and took steps back while Preet looked away to ingone the awkwardness...
Preet: Meher, I think we should go down...*Embarassed voice*
Meher: Umm, hmm yeah...*Looking down*
Both of them came down, they played for a while more and then it was time for dinner...Preet and Meher were getting normal with each other by then...Everyone started eating..While Kulraaj, Meher and Heer were serving...Preet took a a spoonful of Palak Paneer in his mouth and made faces to Kulraaj...
Kulraaj: What?!
Preet: This Palak Paneer is so disturbing di, you made it this evening after coming here right? So disgusting you know?
Kulraaj: Hahahahaha *Laughing loudly* Preet, Meher cooked it, not me...
Preet gulped and looked at Meher..
Preet: Look, Meher I am really sorry..The Palak Paneer is too good...I meant good only by saying those, aaa..aa..ask Kul di...
Meher: Its okay Preet, maybe something went wrong today...You try something else? *Trying to keep a smile on her face*
Preet: Kul di, please? *Insisting face*
Kulraaj: *Trying to control her laugh* Me..Mehu, Preet is right..This is his style of saying when something is too much tasty..This is why I laughed out so loud because I knew you would not get it...
Meher: Really?!
Preet: Really, Truly, Madly, Crazily, Deeply..Now please give me some more Palak Paneer Meher...*Smiling*
Meher served Preet some more Palak Paneer being very happy and they exchanged cute smiles...
After dinner they all did some more fun and it was time to make beds for everyone...Teji and Balraaj, Pammi and Maanjeet wanted all the guests to sleep in the bedrooms and they the family members would sleep in the hall but the Juneja kids did not let them do it...Teji and Balraaj were stirctly told to sleep in their room and Pammi-Maanjeet in the guest room...Maya, Meher and Veera would sleep in Meher's room and Kulraaj, her daughter and Heer would sleep in Heer's bedroom...Rest all the boys along with Kulraaj's two sons would sleep in the hall...
Meher was making beds for the boys in the hall while in the chaos she noticed something..Preet was making videos with his camera...
Meher: Preet, making videos?
Preet: Ahh, yes! It is nice to capture the beautiful moments, right? You know, I am dumb enough to forget that I brought my camera to make videos while this whole evening *Fed up face*
Meher: *Laughs* It is okay Preet. So why are you capturing the video without letting anyone know?
Preet: Natural is the real beauty I think. If I will go and tell them, they will start posing and be alerted of their actions but I just want to capture my family as they are...Sadly, just you will be the different one here now...
Meher: Me? So you are calling me as your family?
Preet: What is so surprising Meher? We were already always one family and now we are going to be officially as PB and Heer bhabi are getting married...
Meher: Hmm, yeah..
Preet: Now, don't disturb me and let me steal this priceless moments and hey miss, be natural too okay? Please?
Meher just smiled and nodded a yes...Preet gave his remarkable smirk and got busy in capturing... Meher just observed Preet doing so and thought how sweet kind of a soul he was and how much he loved his family...
