Part 2

Prem was nervous. Past two months had been pure bliss. A certain someone with the name "Heer Maan" had invoked alien feelings within him. And now finally he knew it was love.

Her smiles, her talks, her silly questions, the way she called out his names, her expressions, her nature, behavior, the way she interacted with his brother, everything made him fall in love with her, everyday a little more.

He knew he had been attracted to her from day one. But always held back because he knew what his position was and what she deserved. He was a mere employee, and she was his boss' daughter. He might not able to give her all the comfort and happiness that she truly deserved.

Sometimes he found himself loosing it, against his will. He tried hard to stay away from her but he couldn't. Adding to that Balraj Sir had given HIM the responsibility of explaining things to her, which meant spending more time.

Finally after two months he felt he was almost losing the battle of controlling himself from proclaiming his love.

And today when Balraj Sir had given him a call to meet him immediately at his house he was very scared and nervous. He couldn't understand the reason of him being called. It was definitely not work related, that much he had understood. Had he been too transparent about his feelings?? He didn't know.

So sitting here infront of Balraj Sir he was nervous. VERY very Nervous!!

"So Prem.. Look I have called you here to discuss something very important and I want you to tell me only the truth.. okie?" asked Balraj.

"Yes.." Prem said still not looking at him.

"Will you marry my daughter?" He jerked his head up. Had he heard him correctly. Did he just ask him to marry his daughter?

And as if answering his question Balraj asked him again

"Prem tell me will you marry my daughter?"

Prem was yet to recover from the shock that he had just received. His brain was processing the information rather slowly today.

When he didn't answer Balraj continued.

"I've seen the love for you in my daughter's eyes. And trust me when I say this that she loves you a lot. My daughter who hates even coming to office suddenly develops an interest. She thinks I am old. But she doesn't know that I am still her father" He said laughing.

"I have been seeing it every day from the past two months. Also I've seen the same feelings in your eyes."

Prem looked at him.

"Don't deny it Prem.. I know. It's the matter of heart and you have no control over it. I thought you'll will confess your feelings but seems like I have to finally intervene. I don't know how long you'll are going to continue this."Balraj finally stopped keeping a hand on Prem's shoulder.

"Sir you know how it is with me. I won't be able to keep her happy. I love her, true but then she deserves much more. Not someone who doesn't even have a proper family and has a baggage of responsibilities." Said Prem

"Prem I know my daughter. She doesn't need materialistic things to keep her happy. Love is all she need and whether she deserves someone better or not, let her decide for herself. As for me I find you as the perfect match for her, otherwise I wouldn't have been asking you to marry her. I know you will keep her happy" Balraj said reassuring him.

"I want to talk to Heer.."

"Oh Sure ! I haven't yet told her about this. I wanted you'll to speak among yourselves first. First room to the left, on the first floor." Saying this Balraj guided him towards the steps.

Standing outside her door he was confused whether to knock or not. He was scared, scared to know about her answer. Although he felt she loves him, he was scared to face rejection. Yeah he had told Heer's dad that Heer deserved better but then how do you face it?

Leaving out a long sigh he decided to knock.

Hearing a "Come In" from her he slowly opened the door and saw her sitting facing away from him. He didn't miss the look of shock that registered on her face.

He heard her asking something but nothing registered in his brain which was at present on auto mode. He blurted out that thing what he had come for,

"HEER YOUR DAD WANTS ME TO MARRY YOU" there he said it and the look on her face scared him to death.

Time passed but nobody said anything. He finally broke the silence when he found her not saying anything.

"Look Heer, I told him that you deserve better. I explained it to him that you won't be happy with me. The comfort you enjoy here, I wont be able to provide you with all this. I have so many responsibilities and I don'want you to face any trouble but you dad said to let you decide but I know.."

He was cut short when Heer finally decided to speak.

"True" that was all she said.

True? Did she mean true that he didn't deserve her, that she didn't love him? all these thoughts crossed his mind. He heard her continue.

"My dad knows me well Prem. Let me decide for myself." She said looking at him.

Her next question threw him off guard.

"Do you Love Me?"

What was he suppose to say ? Yes I Love you with all my heart body and soul? Was it necessary? He thought.

"Tell me Prem do YOU love me or Not?"

"Heer look.. I ..." his speech was not coordinating.

"You what Prem? Do you Love me or not?"

" Heer see.. I know you don't want to marry me. I shall tell.."

"Prem this is the last time I am going to ask you, You love me or not?"

"Fine I do! I do love you a lot. Is this going to change your decision of not marrying me.." Prem Said.

" Finally! I thought its going to take ages. And who said anything about not marrying? Why will I not marry a person whom I am in love with?"

Prem looked at her bewildered.

"Now don't give me that look. What do you think I have been trying to tell you since the past two months. And my dad thinks you are one of his best employees. I seriously thinks he need to re think on that. You can be so dumb at time." Heer said letting out a breath.

"But Heer you know how it is. What if tomorrow you are not happy? What if .." Prem stopped seeing heer walking in his direction.

"Prem no what If's. I know what I am doing and I know I will be happy. I am not going to leave you. Since the last two months the only thing I have dreamnt of is having a small family with you and Preet. I don't need anything Prem, just your love." she said cupping his face.

"Are you sure Heer..?" he asked still not sure.

"If you ask that to me one more time I swear I am going to kill you with my bare hands."Heer said glaring at him.
He chuckled lightly and engulfed her in a hug.

"Our First Hug! Finally!! things are moving too slow with you Mr. Juneja." He heard her mumble.

He just laughed at her antics.

Finally he was getting a chance at something he never thought he would.
