Hello!!!

And a very warm welcome to all my fellow Deshians,

India-Forum friends, and visitors.

Fatima here, once again......ready to celebrate something very special.

Now ordinarily I'm not a huge fan of Mondays.

But what to do?

Special occasions don't always wait for the weekend to come by.

And this one is no ordinary Monday mind you.

It's the 2^nd of December.

A day when a marriage ceremony took place between 2 people no one had expected.

Not even the people getting married.

Who am I talking about you ask?

Preet and Meher of course!

Yes...on this very day several years ago,

We got a very special and very lovable jodi known as

Their coming together was proof positive that

Perfect matches are truly made in heaven.

So come on and join me in taking a walk down memory lane

And celebrating this beautiful couple.

Born on a farm in Ambala, Meher Maan was the youngest daughter of Balraaj and Teji Maan.

A happy-go-lucky girl with the cutest smile ever, she loved her parents, her sister Heer, and of course her mother's cooking.

Meher's early days on the farm were simple and care free. If you had asked her what she wanted she would have said that some day she'd like to remake her favorite movie DDLJ.

But deep down she dreamed of roaming the valleys of Switzerland, where she would run into Raj, who would sweep her off her feet and then come to Ambala and ask her parents for her hand in marriage.

Did her dreams ever come true?

Well...sort of. There was a slight location change though.

Oh...and his name wasn't Raj.

Preet was the youngest son of the great hotelier Lalit Juneja. Certainly not the most ambitious amongst his siblings, he preferred to pass his days in a carefree manner, leaving responsibilities for his older brothers to shoulder.

Ask him to describe himself in 3 words and he'd say...Smart, Sexy, and Handsome.

(Can I just add here that I totally agree )

Ask his father and he'd complain of his laid back attitude, lack of commitment, and constant pranks. Ask his mother and she'd laugh and say just one word...Badmash.

But ask his brother Prem and he'd point out that Preet was fiercely loyal and protective of his family. Ask his Bhabi Heer and she'd say he had a heart of gold.

Sounds like 2 people made for each other...doesn't it?

Whoa...talk about a first meeting.

I don't know about you, but the first time I saw Kis Desh,

I never imagined that these two would ever come together.

But it was their love and loyalty to their family that led them to become one.

It turned out to be the best decision they ever made.

And how their relationship grew from that first meeting...

Meet were the first couple that kind of happened .. actually got married on KDMHMD. From the first day they had a teasing .. irritating but sweet kind of relationship and that thing never got lost in the process. The shy and subtle relationship with time turned naughty as well as happy and we found two beautiful people- Meher and Preet -become-Meet ! From uniting Premeer to acting lovey dovey in the farmhouse, they always brought a smile to our faces. One of a kind couple they were. The shy bride and the over zealous husband, yet Preet found his one true love in Meher. If there is a pair who can define that love can happen to anybody, anytime and in any phase of life then it's them . They both were in love with someone else but found solace in each other over the time and then there were just these two .. committed . inseparable and really in love .. They will remain with me always ..

What to say what to say about this beautiful couple?

Actually I'm never at a loss for words when it comes to Preet and Meher, because I absolutely love them to the point of an addiction. I discovered them by chance and since that day, they have remained with me close to my heart.

And despite the fact that several years have gone by, I never tire of watching Kis Desh through their eyes. Their journey from...can't stand each other...to best friends...to perfect couple...was one that I enjoyed thoroughly and also one I'll never forget.

I remember their every dialogue and every scene, because it never failed to bring a smile to my face.

They are the reason I joined I-F. They are the reason I still watch Kis Desh episodes. And they are the reason I continue to write. I can never get enough of them. And I shall remain a Meetian for life.
