Part 13
Subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah
Subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah
Prem encircled Heer on the dance floor and whistled a tune and all the onlookers looked with amazement as to what he was doing.
"Chand sifarish jo karta hamari
Deta wo tumko bata
Sharm o hayaa ke parde giraake
Karnee hai humko khata"
He winked at her and she gave a shy smile.
"Zid hai ab to hain khud ko mitaana
Hona hai tujhme fanaaa"
He held her hand and pulled her closer.
"Chand sifarish jo karta hamari
Deta wo tumko bata
Sharm o hayaa ke parde giraake
Karnee hai humko khata"
He continued whistling and praising Heer. People around loved it and complimented the couple.
"Teri adaa bhi hai jhoke waalee
Chu ke guzar jaane de"
She pulled out and tried to leave but he held her hand back and she sighed.
"Teri lachak hain ke jese daali
Dil mein utar jaane de"
He pulled her close to him again and wrapped his arms around her.
"Aaja baahon me karke bahana
Hona hai tujhme fanaaa
Chand sifarish jo karta hamari
Deta wo tumko bata
Sharm o hayaa ke parde giraake
Karnee hai humko khata"
Prem lifted his head and lightly kissed her on the forehead and then on both of her eyes and then both of her cheeks.
Subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah
Subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah
But then Heer shied out and successfully got out of his grip. Her heart was racing and she had this glow of happiness all over her face.
"Hain jo iraade batadoon tumko
Sharma hee jaaogi tum"
He put her hand over his heart.
"Dharkhane jo suna doon tumko
Ghabrahee jaogi tum
Hamko aata nahi hain chupaana
Hona hai tujhme fanaaa"
He kissed both of her hands and then stared into her eyes.
"Chand sifarish jo karta hamari
Deta wo tumko bata
Sharm o hayaa ke parde giraake
Karnee hai humko khata
Zid hai ab to hain khud ko mitaana
Hona hai tujhme fanaaa"
As the song finished both of them were lost deeply in each other's eyes forgetting about the whole world around them. It was the applause from everybody which brought them back to reality and it was then that they looked around. Heer became too conscious but Prem made her relax and she kept hiding her face in his chest out of embarrassment.
From far a pair of eyes had watched the whole show and they grew redder with anger. Not only was he irritated with the idea that the girl just insulted him in front of so many people and now was enjoying herself. He was also irritated with the notion that she was his brother's girlfriend. "Prem bhaiya ko iskee asliyat batanee hee paregee." Sid walked off again from there making sure Prem didn't catch him.
After a while Heer excused herself and walked towards the bathroom. She was exhausted and needed to rest so she just washed her hands and face and adjusted her clothes. All of a sudden the lights switched off and her heart raced. If there was something she was afraid of was the dark and she also was all alone. Or was she? She tried to search for the door but she didn't find it. Instead she collided with someone which made her panic. "Who's there?" she asked nervously. Nobody answered which made her more nervous. "Why are you not answering?" she felt as if someone was closing in on her and it made her claustrophobic.
Soon someone grabbed hold of her and she winced in pain. "Dusro ko sabak sikhaane ka bara hee shoke hai na." the man's voice was hoarse and she recognized who it was. "I'll teach you a lesson today you'll never forget." He grabbed onto her fiercely and she squealed, pleading him to let go. But he didn't budge and continued pressing tight aginst the tiled floor of the bathroom. She screamed for help but no one seemed to hear her pleas.
It had been a good time and Heer hadn't returned so Prem worried as to what happened to her. He walked towards the bathroom looking here and there with the desperate need to find her but she was nowhere to be seen. "kaha chalee gayee tum Heer?" he spoke softly as he continued searching around.
"PREM!" Heer cried and screamed for him as she writhed in pain. Sid was tormenting her and she wanted him to leave her alone. "PREM!" she kept screaming hoping that he'll come anytime barging through and save her from this monster.
It was as if her prayers got heard as someone did barge through the doors and grabbed hold of Sid from behind and threw him off across the bathroom. It was still dark so he was not seen.
Heer quickly ran in Prem's arms and cried. Before he could have caught Sid, he escaped. "What happened Heer? Koun tha wo?"
She was still crying uncontrollably, "Prem…Prem he was the same guy I had slapped earlier. Agar tum nahi aate to…" she burst into heavy tears.
He tried to calm her down and held her tight. "Ab me aagaya hu na Heer. Tumhe kuch nahi hoga. Don't worry I won't spare that *******." He held her close to him.
Sid had a near escape or Prem would have caught him and he would have been dead by now. Some how he had to think of something to separate the two. Something which would make Prem realize she was not worth him.
END OF FLASHBACK
At that time Sid had found it right but now he was regretting his actions. He had realized what he had done was wrong and he so much wished he could rewind time and mend it all but he knew he couldn't. He still remembered how his twisted mind had manipulated an evil plot and had even succeeded to an extent.
FLASHBACK
After a few days Sid had done research on Heer and he had found out many things. Things which he knew would be useful to get Heer out of Prem's life. He went straight to Kiran about it as he knew he was someone who would certainly help him in this. "Bhaiya have you any idea what Prem bhaiya is doing?"
Kiran as usual was busy in his office work and wasn't paying much attention to what Sid was saying. He just absent mindedly agreed. "Sid can't this wait right now. I've got this very important meeting tomorrow." He continued working on his laptop.
Sid was disappointed and went and sat down opposite him taking charge of his laptop. "This is more important than your work bhaiya."
"Sid kya karaha hai, mujhe kaam karne de." Kiran snatched his laptop back and continued working.
The way Kiran looked uninterested made Sid just sigh and he got up. "Theek hai lekin agar kal hamare hee ek maamooli employee ki beti is ghar ki maalkin banjaayegee tab mujhe aake mat kehna." After saying that he turned around and gave an evil smirk as he knew that would get Kiran's attention immediately. He knew how much status meant a lot for him. More than anything.
That certainly did catch Kiran's attention as he stopped typing and shot his head up. "Just a minute Sid…" he got up, "what are you talking about?"
"I was sure you'll definitely get interested now." He made Kiran sit down again and told him the whole story. The one he manipulated of course but he had to make it sound like Heer had trapped Prem and now she was soon going to be coming in the house as if she owned the place. "Bhaiya agar hamne abhi kuch nahi kiya to bohat dair hojaaehgee."
"I don't believe this." Kiran didn't want to believe.
"I know you don't believe me but I'm sure when you find out yourself you'll believe me" He told Kiran to come with him. Kiran kept asking where he was taking him but Sid just said to come with him.
They left in the car and Kiran waited to see what was going on. As they halted at the traffic signal they were just looking around when Kiran froze. He couldn't believe what he saw and he was outraged.
In front of him Prem rode a cycle with Heer sitting in front and both of them looked pretty cozy with each other. Any onlooker would guess that they were boyfriend girlfriend. Sid smirked as his work was done and he didn't have to make much effort. Now he knew exactly what Kiran was going to do. Kiran wanted to follow Prem and Heer but due to the traffic they were left behind and they lost them.
Back at home Kiran was disappointed and the picture of them two on the cycle kept coming in front of him. How could Prem do this? How could he even think that this alliance was going to be allowed? He decided it was time he got things straight.
"Bhaiya ab to aap ko yakeen hogaya na?" Sid came from behind and on purpose added fuel. He was winning and he loved it.
"Yes and I think it's about time I get things straight with Prem." After saying that Kiran left and Sid grinned. Then he flopped down on the sofa and congratulated himself.
"Now you'll see Heer ke Sid se takar lene ka kya matlab hota hai." He continued smirking.
In the evening Prem returned home and was just about to climb the stairs when Kiran came into the hall and stopped him. Prem was surprised to find him home as he always stayed late in the office. "Kiran tum aaj ghar pe hee ho?"
"Something very serious occurred that I had to be home. Mera chain chin chukka hai." Kiran looked disturbed and Prem noticed it. What could have been so serious? "I need to talk to you Prem."
"Can we talk about this later as I'm really tired right now Kiran." Prem looked at his watch and then back at Kiran. It had been a long day and he was exhausted.
Kiran didn't let him leave. "this is very important and you need to hear this now." He went further in the hall expecting Prem to follow him.
The way Kiran was behaving did make Prem believe something was serious so he followed him inside. "Aisa kya huwa hai Kiran jo tum pareshaan dikrahe ho?"
"Wo larki koun thi Prem?" he didn't waste time and got straight to the point.
Prem seemed alarmed, "koun larki? Who are you talking about?"
"You know who I'm talking about. Don't try and deny it Prem."
Prem stood with his arms folded across his chest and didn't say anything. He wanted to hear what Kiran had to say and then he would give reply if necessary. Kiran continued. "I saw with my own eyes. You and that girl on that cycle. So tell me Prem koun hai wo?"
"Agar tum jaan hee gaye ho yeh to phir yeh bhi jaan lo ke wo larki meri zindagee hai. I love her." There was full confidence in Prem's voice.
Kiran turned around with a whiplash after hearing that, "do you even know what you're saying. Jaante ho wo kiskee betee hai?"
"Maine Heer se pyaar kiya hai Kiran oski pehchaan se nahi. I know everything about her and that is immaterial. I only know that I love her more than anything and nothing else matters."
"Well it does matter to me. Prem tumne yeh soch bhi kese liya ke tum os larki ke saath koi rishta rakh sakho ge. Me yeh hargiz nahi hone dunga." Kiran was agitated. "I've worked so hard to build our position and status in today's world and you've the audacity to go and ruin it all. And for what, just for a normal girl who is nothing more than the daughter of one of our employees?" he shook his head, "I wont allow you to make this mistake."
"Afsos Kiran tum aaj bhi Prem ko samajh nahi paaye." Prem looked upset, "Well there's nothing new about it as you've never understood me anyways. I've tried to always do as you wished since childhood but now Kiran I'll not blindly listen to anything." He pointed towards his heart, "Prem sirf ek hee cheez kee baat maanta hai or wo hai oska dil. Or mera dil apni marzi ka maalik hai." He folded his hands across his chest again. "Pyaar dil se hota hai bank balance se nahi. Agar aisa huwa to wo pyaar nahi sauda hai or Prem kabhi sauda nahi karta. Karta hai to sirf mohabbat. You say Heer is lower in status than us then let me tell you Kiran that she is way higher than us." Kiran gives him a stunned look, "yes she is. Oska pyaar mere liye mujhse kai ziada hai to ostarha se wo mujhse higher huwee. She respects me more than I do so she is higher than me. To phir kamee to mujh me hai na."
"Prem you've gone mad and you don't know what you're talking about."
"Yes I'm mad Kiran. I'm mad." He looked towards Kiran straight in the eye, "ek baat yaad rakhna, Heer meree zindagee hai, mere jeene kee wajhe hai, meree puja hai, meree her saas me Heer hai or meree har dharkhan me Heer hai. Ab koi chaahe bhi to Prem or Heer ko alag nahi karsakta." Suddenly Prem's eyes became lethal, "there is only one way you'll be able to keep me away and that would be to kill me. Finish me off but even then my heart will keep beating only for Heer." He relaxed. "So you see Kiran both ways I'm only going to win."
For sometime Kiran kept looking at Prem as if he was trying to figure out how to handle the situation. He saw so much depth in his love that he didn't know what to do. Then he gradually went closer to him and put his hands on both of Prem's shoulders. "You love her so much that you're ready to go against the world?"
"You haven't seen the limits yet."
"I think I've seen enough that I wanted to see," a genuine smile came across Kiran's face. "I just wanted to see how serious you were and now I'm satisfied."
"Iska matlab tumhe koi aitraaz nahi hai?" Prem asked surprisingly.
"Your happiness means more to me than anything Prem." He hugged him, "I'm happy for you."
Prem hugged him back, "Thanks Kiran it means a lot to me." He sounded relieved that at least his brother supoorted him here in one decision he had made in life.
The whole scene was watched by Sid from afar and he was disappointed. How could Kiran agree to this alliance? It was after Prem left from there that Sid barged into Kiran's room with rage. "Bhaiya how could you do this? How could you agree about Prem bhaiya and that Heer's relation?"
Kiran remained calm, "come and sit down and calm down."
Sid shook his head, "how can I calm down at a time like this?"
"Sid tum abhi bhi kuch hadd tak is maamle me kacche ho isiliye tumhe samajh me nahi aata. I know what I did was wrong but there was an ulterior motive towards it." Sid gave him a confused look, "yes. I haven't agreed with Prem because I'm okay with the alliance but only so I could stop him from taking any drastic steps. I know how to handle this situation." He paced up and down. "Or rahee baat oske or Heer ke rishte kee to tum bhool jao Sid ke aisa kuch tha bhi. Is maamle me mujhe kya or kese karna hai me achi tarhase jaanta hu." Both the brothers gave each other evil grins as they cooked up a wicked plan to destroy Prem and Heer's love story.
