Chapter 5:
Prem heaved a sigh of relief. So now, everyone, except for Heer was officially on his side. Now he would make that trip to Ludhiana to get his girl.

Meher and Ashlesha returned to Ludhiana the next day, after making numerous promises to the boys that they would help them out if and whenever they needed it.
The three Juneja boys stepped down from their car (They had actually driven from Mumbai to Ludhiana) and stepped into their hotel, one they had booked close to the Maan Mansion. Having decided to all go down to dinner, they stepped into the restaurant wanting to eat dinner.
"Sigh I'm going to go wash my hands before our food comes" said Prem, getting up from the table where Preet and Harman were sitting. He walked away, looking around, and not really paying attention to where he was going, when Bang! He bumped into someone, and as the two were heading for a fall, they clung to each other, with Prem hitting the ground and the woman falling right on top of him
Prem slowly opened his eyes, only to stare back into a gorgeous, hazel brown pair of eyes, which were fluttering wildly. She was clinging on to his shirt, and his arms were surrounding her protectively. On the ground, she was pinning him down, as the two lay, her on top of him.
"Um…Um..you ok?" Prem questioned, slightly flustered by the events and the beautiful girl in front of him.
She was suddenly brought back to reality. For the past couple of minutes, she was drowning in this man's intense pair of eyes, and had lost herself completely. "Oh Yeah. I'm so sorry. I'm fine. You?" she asked, getting up slowly, dusting off her clothes, and holding out her hand to help Prem up.
He placed his hand in her own as she pulled him up, and the two instantaneously felt a spark run through. A shiver rand down her spine, and butterflies began to flutter in her stomach. Each of them had felt this, but did the other feel it too?
A sudden voice broke the two out of their thoughts. "Heer di!" screamed two girls, running towards her.
Prem was startled. He recognized the voices of these girls, but where? Suddenly, he heard his brothers coming from the opposite direction. "PB! Are you ok?"
The two girls came running to their sister, not even noticing the man in front of her or his brothers who were by then, standing next to him. "Heer di! You're ok na?" they questioned, looking frantically and worrying for Heer.
She merely smiled at her younger sisters, all the while glancing back at the man she had bumped into, noticing how he was looking at her.
Prem, Harman, and Preet stood there shocked, their eyes widening with surprise. So this was Heer!
"Woh…You are ok, right?" Prem questioned once again, this time getting the attention of Meher and Ashlesha. The two younger sisters turned around, shock evident on their faces. However, they quickly masked this expression, and this time spoke louder "Heer Di" slowly stressing every syllable, making it obvious to Prem once again that the girl he had just bumped into was the one he was supposed to be marrying.
Preet and Harman, who were unable to control themselves, turned away and began to snicker softly. Meher and Ashlesha were no less, as tiny smirks were evident on both of their faces. Prem was just standing there, dumbfounded, everything not completely clear in his mind. Heer, on the other hand, was just blank. She obviously didn't recognize any of them, as she didn't have any clue that this was the man her parents wanted her to marry.
"I'm…I'm actually fine. Sorry about bumping into you, I should've paid attention to where I was going too" said Heer, before she was dragged away by her two younger sisters. Something made her not want to leave. She just wanted to stand there, and stare into that man's eyes, whoever he was.
Prem hadn't moved at all, as he watched the three girls turn around and head home. He never believed in love at first sight, but after this, he sure knew it was possible! This girl had just blown him away, not only in terms of her beauty, but also her soft spokeness and obviously sweet personality. There was something about her that attracted him to her, that captivated him, that made him want to pull her into his arms and never ever let go.
"Prem Bhaiya?" questioned Harman, snapping his fingers and waving his hands in front of Prem's face. Suddenly brought out of a daze, Prem just shook slightly before recomposing himself, and becoming the ever calm Prem Juneja.
"Han Harman. Chalein?" he questioned, completely avoiding the topic of having met Heer just thirty seconds ago. His two younger brothers, understanding that he didn't want to discuss this any further, let the topic drop – for then.

After coming home, Heer went directly up to her room, telling everyone she was going to bed. Although everyone was confused, no one said anything. In actuality, Heer just needed some time alone. The man she had met at that hotel restaurant, he just remained in her thoughts, his face flashing before her eyes every time she seemed to close them. What bad luck, A guy who I don't even know is the one that is occupying my thoughts, she sighed to herself.

Prem's two brothers were intent on bringing up the subject of Heer, and couldn't wait. As soon as they stepped into their hotel room, Preet and Harman jumped onto their respective beds, and said "So Bhaiya, How do you like hamara Bhabhi?" smirks clearly evident on their faces, as they teased their older brother.
Prem just flopped down on his bed, his hands behind his head, as a dreamy look appeared on his face. "Isn't she beautiful?" he questioned, a small smile slowly appearing. He just looked lost to his two brothers, who were both looking at him as if he was crazy – well, at least Preet was. Harman's mind was occupied by Ashlesha, and how she had winked at him the other day.
"So bhabhi seems to be taking over your thoughts, eh?" questioned Preet, who just remembered his brother's expression upon hearing that the girl was Heer.
"Hmmm" Prem sighed, as he got up and stood near the window, looking out at the moon, which seemed to shine ever so brightly that night.
"He's a goner" laughed Preet, looking at Harman. When hs brother didn't respond, Preet jabbed him in the side, saying "Kya? Whose thoughts are you lost in now?"
At that Harman just kinda jumped in his bed. "Uh. Well no one. Hamara bechara Prem bhaiya" he smiled nervously, wanting to distract his younger brother from his love life….

Meanwhile, at the Maan Mansion, everyone was sitting at the dinner table, including Meher and Ashlesha, even though they both had already eaten dinner at the restaurant with their Heer di. The noise level was on a high, with Balraj and Lalit chatting away, poking fun at each other, and acting like little kids, while Gayatri and Teji were laughing at their husbands' jokes, and scolding them to act more mature.
"PLEASE BE QUIETT!" Meher suddenly screamed, loud enough to shut everyone up, but not loud enough to wake up Heer, who was sleeping upstairs.
Meher and Ashlesha were both siitting at one end of the table, and everyones' eyes turned to them almost instantly.
"Kya hain Meher? Ashlesha?" questioned Teji, concern lining her voice. The same confusion was apparent in the eyes of all the other adults.
Ashlesha began to cnicker and giggle, before she started "Arreh, don't be worried. This isn't any bad news. We just wanted to tell you we saw Prem Jiju and Harman and Preet today."
Everyone's eyes widened. Gayatri and Lalit were the first to break out into smiles "Oh I knew it. Ab Prem came, and now everything's going to be alright!" they exclaimed, happy and relieved. Gayatri continued "Han. Once Prem and Heer see each other, I'm sure they're going to fall for each other at first sight!"
Teji giggled at the statement, and said a quick prayer, hoping that Gayatri's words would come true.
"Auntiji. There's definitely no need to worry about that. Because that already happened!" Meher couldn't contain her excitement anymore as she began to explain to all the adults how her Prem Jiju and Heer di had bumped into each other.
"And yeah. So we met him today and it was just so exciting!" exclaimed both Ashlesha and Meher. The parents all had wide grins on their faces, as they looked at each other and hugged one another from excitement. "Ay! They're going to get married! Hope she does fall in love with him" squealed Gayatri and Teji.
The wide grins on everyone's faces was enough to convey their feelings.
"Who's getting married? Who did we meet?" questioned a sleepy eyed Heer, rubbing her eyes, her face filled with confusion and suspicion.
The dining room suddenly became as silent as a graveyard. Everyone glanced at each other and immediately looked down on the table, not knowing what to say and how to respond to Heer's question.
