Chapter 46

Fari exited Heer's apartment building and just than she remembered she didn't check to see if the shoes would look good with Heeriye's suit.

"Heeriye is going to kill me but oh well, this has to be done now." Fari said to herself as she made her way upstairs.

Back in Heer's apartment, Prem was barely letting her breath before kissing her again and again.

"Preeeemmm.....I need to breath!" Heer playfully protested.

"You can do that when I leave..." Prem said before he placed his lips over hers again.

Just than the doorbell rang. Heer and Prem were too occupied to hear it and it rang again and again.

"Why is Heeriye, not opening the door? Oh my god, what if something happened to her?" Fari said as she rang the doorbell with one hand and knocked on the door with the other.

Almost 10 minutes later, when Heer and Prem somehow made it to Heer's living room, that Heer heard the doorbell.

"Do you hear something?" Heer asked.

"Heer, stop making excuses!"

"No I am serious, do you hear something?"

Both of them stopped to listen and now they could hear it perfectly. Fari screaming behind the door....

"Heeriye!! Oh meri Heeriye!! Heeriye, open the door!!! HEEERRRIIIYEEE!!!" Fari shouted between knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell and disturbing the whole building.

"FARI!!" Heer and Prem said at the same time as they looked at each other!

"I thought she left!" Prem protested.

"Go hide!!! Hide in the bathroom....no wait, hide in Clarissa's room!!!" Heer ordered and Prem dashed to Clarissa's room and closed the door behind him.

Heer hurried and opened the door to find Fari standing there red-faced along with half of the building.

"Heeriyee!!! Are you alright? Why did you take so long to open?" Fari said as she entered the apartment. "Okay you guys can leave, I can take it from here." Fari told her audience.

"I was....umm taking a shower. I was in the bathroom. I couldn't hear the doorbell. I thought you left." Heer said.

"Oh I did but than I forgot that I had you try on your sho....Heeriye? If you were taking a shower, why are you still wearing the same clothes? Why is your face so flushed? Why are you out of breath? HEERIYE!!! Are you sure, you are alright? Oh meri Heeriye!" Fari cried.

"I am fine....Fari! *Heer took a deep breath* Let's try the shoes on."

"Sure." Fari said as she searched for something under the table and behind the curtains and under Heer's bed.

"What are you looking for?" Heer said getting scared.

"Oh nothing. You know the new charm bracelet Biru gave me? I think I dropped one of the charms here. Just looking for that." Fari said as she looked inside Heer's bathroom and wardrobe.

Just than they heard a crash coming from Clarissa's room.

"C's here? I thought she's in Manchester for a gig!" Fari said as she made her way to Clarissa's room.

"Umm ya she came home right after you left. I think her gig got canceled."

"Oh than I must say hi and invite her to your engagement party."

Heer stood in front of Fari blocking the door to Clarissa's room. "Fari, I think you should leave her alone. She's not in the best of moods and we can't invite everyone to Chachi's house. You know Chachi, she'll throw a tantrum."

"Oh I am sure she'll feel better getting invited to a party and I'll handle Chachi." Fari said as she pushed Heer away.

"Fari!!!" Heer tried to stop her.

Just than, the front door opened and the real Clarissa entered.

"Oh hi guys! Sorry, Manchester gig got shifted to Bristol instead. So I came home to get my swimsuit." Clarissa said to the girls.

Heer smacked her head with her hand.

"If Clarissa is here, whose in the room, Heeriye?" Fari asked with her eyebrows raised.

Fari opened Clarissa's door to an empty room.

"Oh maybe it was a cat." Heer said looking around.

Fari laughed. "It's ok Prem, you can come out now."

Heer looked at Prem in shock before Prem came out of under the bed.

"Really now, Prem! You need to be more discreet about all this. Your car was parked right next to the building! *Fari went and whispered something in Prem's ear* And next time, let my poor Heeriye breath...she's all flushed out." Fari laughed as it was now Prem's turn to turn red.

"So anyways, I am here to inform you that, since there's only two days to the engagement, you two can't meet each other until the engagement."

"WHAT??" Heer and Prem said at the same time.

Chapter 48

"Putterji, are you alright? Why are you crying?" a concerned Lalit asked Heer.

"Oh kya hai na, Uncleji, Heeriye gets very emotional during Ashlesha and Meher's birthday. Yeh dono Heeriye ke samne padha hui hai na, that's why!" Fari butted in and answered for Heer.

"How come I never seen you cry before on our birthdays, Di?" asked a confused Meher.

Fari dragged Meher away to the kitchen giving her an explanation about how Heeriye would cry in the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Heer tried to have a conversation with the Juneja Seniors while Biru and Prem talked about last night's football match between Chelsea and Manchester United.

Sona and Mercedes are going around checking on last minute's details and talking in whispers to each other.

"Shh, shhh, shhh!" Fari came to them. "Do NOT even mention the "surprise" until it's time!!"

Finally, after Daljeet crying about how she didn't cook enough food for everyone with Fari munching on jalebis and giving Vandy evil looks, Heer and Prem trying to play hanky panky with their hands, it was time to cut Ashlesha's cake.

Afterwards, Fari and Biru were giving Ash her present, when Prem arrived with Heer and Vandy in tow. Fari went and stood between Vandy and Heer and gave Vandy a look that told her to stay away from Heer.

"Hey Ash, here's a birthday present from me and...*Fari kicked him* um just me!" said Prem.

Ash opened the box to find the pendant Vandy had picked a few days ago.

"Oh it's lovely! Thank you, Prem! I didn't know you had such good taste!" Ash exclaimed.

"Oh but he does!" laughed Fari "But this was picked by Prem's BIG SISTER, Vandy!"

"Oye!! Who are you calling Prem's sister?? Sister hogi tu aur teri Heeriye!!" Vandy yelled. Heer, Biru, Sona, and Mercedes covered their ears as Prem looked on to them, confused. The rest of the family gathered around to see the drama with Daljeet Chachi quickly running to the kitchen to get a plate of ladoos to eat as she watched the drama unfold.
