Chapter 38

"My god, I have to do everything!! Fine, give me the phone!" moaned Fari. Prem hurried and gave the phone to Fari after Heer dialed Daljeet Chachi's number.

The phone rang twice before someone picked it up.

"Ello, hot and shexy Daljeet shpeaking." Fari tried not to giggle as she put her on speaker phone.

"Hello Chachi, this is Fari!"

"Oye kudiye! Where you been? Sho many days and kuch nahi. Did you and Biru did pheras? Ish that why you calling me now?"

"Oye nahi Chachi! How can I get married without you? Actually I called to ask if you are doing anything for Ash's birthday?"

"Why, kudiye? Ash is having a party for jawan log. I am invented, of course!"

"Invented?" Prem whispered.

"She means INVITED!" Sona giggled.

"Ssshhhhh!" Heer ordered.

"Oh right. Well thing is, me and Biru are going to be in town on that day since Biru has a meeting there."

"I do?" Biru asked and Fari kicked him on the broken leg to shut him up.

"I didn't want to leave Heeriye alone in London, so she's coming with me too."

"Oh that's fine shine, putterji. Why you even asking? Since when do you ask before you come? Come come, free ka maal hai!"

"Ya so anyways, you remember Prem Juneja? Gayatri Aunty and Lalit uncle's son?"

"Yesh. What about him?"

"Well he's good friends with Biru and he's tagging along. Do you mind if we bring him to the party?"

"Oh yesh, yesh! I will live that!! Yesh bring him! Oh I should invent his parents too! Oh yesh!" Daljeet chachi was now excited.

"What about us?" hissed Mercedes.

"Ok thanks Chachi..so me, Biru, Heeriye, Prem, Sona and Mercedes will see you on Ash's birthday, bye bye!"

"Ok....whaat what? Why don't you invent the neighbors too....kudiyeee....whaa" Fari hanged up before Daljeet had a chance to yell at her more.

She looked at Prem and Heer. "There your job is done! Even your parents are going to be there!"

"Thanks Fari, what would we do without you?" Prem said as he hugged her. "Maybe I should invite Vandy too....since we are getting engaged that day!"

"WHAT?? VANDY KI BACHIII??" Fari screamed as Heer, Sona, Mercedes and Biru covered their ears....Prem didn't know what he said wrong.

Chapter 40

There were only 2 days left for Ashlesha's birthday party and Prem and Heer's surprise engagement party. Fari and Biru have finally found a flat and Fari was busy putting all of her 780 pair of shoes away when Prem called.

"Fari, I was wondering that maybe I should go and get a ring for Heer. I mean we can't get engaged without a ring? I don't know her taste so can you help?"

Of course Fari love to help. She lived to shop. Even if it wasn't for her. She told Prem to meet her on Sloane Street in an hour and hurried and got ready.

Fari arrived a few minutes before Prem and was waiting outside Tiffany's when Prem's car pulled up. Fari was happy to see Prem until she saw who else got out of the car.

"VANDY KI BACHI!!" Fari rushed to Prem and Vandy. "What is SHE doing here?"

"Oye Kapoor, hold your horses! I am not interested to see you either but since Prem needed help, I came along!"

"Prem, I told you na! I'll help...I know Heeriye's taste, this this this Vandy doesn't!!!"

"Oh ya, who told you I am here to help with your precious Heeriye's ring? Prem needs to get something for that cousin of Heer too so that's why I am here."

"SEXENA, don't you dare to talk about my Heeriye in that tone!"

"Ladies, ladies! Can we please be nice to one another just today? Fari for Heer's sake? Vandy, for my sake?"

The ladies had no choice. Fari would do anything for Heeriye and Vandy, for Prem. The trio entered the shop with Prem making sure he's between them to not cause fights.

"Vandy darling, why don't you go and pick a pendent for Ash while Fari here helps me pick a ring?" Prem asked Vandy sweetly which made Fari more angry.

"Of course, Prem! Anything for you!" Vandy said with a goofy smile.

Fari threw her daggers and Prem dragged her to the rings section.

"So Fari, what does your Heeriye like? Gold, white gold, platinum?" Prem asked Fari sweetly.

"Nothing. She likes plastic." Fari gave Prem a sarcastic smile.

"Oh come on, Fari! Cheer up! I know you don't like Vandy but for Heer's sake, be nice na? She found out I was coming here and wanted to tag along, and she does so much for me that I couldn't say no. Just for Heer, be nice??"

"Finnnneeee...just for Heer. And you, since I like you too." Fari sighed.

"Well and I like you!" Prem laughed as he hugged Fari.

After what seemed like hours to Prem, they both finally agreed on a Tiffany's Legacy cushion-cut diamond ring which was surrounded by a beads-set diamond along with another diamond band to go with it. Prem had to agree, it was a stunning ring, just perfect for his own Heera.

"Are you sure, Heer would like this?" Prem was tensed, Fari could tell.

"Ya ya, she would love it. She would love it even if you got a her plastic ring, I wasn't kidding before." Fari laughed.

"Umm maybe you should get a plastic ring, Prem!" Vandy said from behind them as the sales associate handed Prem the box with the ring.

"Very funny, Sexena! You would love that!" Fari shouted at her.

"Okkaaay! Vandy did you pick something for Ash? Why don't I pay for it now?" Prem said as he changed the topic.

Prem wanted to treat the ladies for a lunch but both of them decided that was not a great idea and Fari left early to go back to her apartment to put her shoes away.

While she was putting her 666th pair of shoes, she realized Heer had nothing to wear for her engagement and made another call to Prem.

"Oye PJ, what are you wearing for the party?"

"Umm why?"

"Ya don't ask too many questions...."

Prem had no idea what to wear and once again Fari had to call Sona and Mercedes and the three of them went searching for perfect outfits for Prem and Heer.

Ya guys! Anu is writing half of the fanfic.....she's doing the romantic scenes while I am doing Fari's dramatic scenes. I feel like I know Fari a tad better, that's why. 😆
