meher: aa jao maa(meher didnt know preet was here with his family. her bauji was gone to office so she thought she was alone with her maa)
preet(entering the room): hi meher
meher (turning around as she heard a familiar male voice and saw preet): app?
preet(smiling): haan main (moving further in the room) woh main app se kuch baat kerna chahta hun.
meher: ji kahiyay
preet: maine is rishte ke liye haan kerdi (meher in shock, looked up at him for the first time.she could not believe that he said yes even after what she told him. she was confused and preet noticed that) dekhiye maine app ke baray main bauhat socha aur isi faisle par aya. app bauhat achi hai aur main aj tak app jaisi larki se nahi mila. app sachi hai. app main koi banawat nahi. bilkul saaf dil hai app ka. app main bauhat saadgi hai unlike the girls these days. (he paused) shayad app ka bholapan aur app ki muskurahat mujhe bauhat pasand aayi (meher was confused because as far as she could remember it has been a long time since she smiled and she certainly did not smile in front of preet.preet saw her confused face so preet contunied) woh maine app ki tasveer dekhi thi bahir app ki behen ke saath. shayad koi purani tasveer hai(meher relieved to know that she didnt smile in front of him and she was surprised that this man was noticing everything and he was certainly interested in her for some reason she didnt know) app ke chehre ki yeh udaasi mujhe bilkul achi nahi lagti.main app ko duniya ki saari khushiyan daina chahta hun.kya app ko koi aitraaz hai is rishte se? app ka jawab jo bhi ho mujhe manzoor hai.please kisi pressure main aa ker haan nahi kijiyega.
meher(she could not believe what was happening. first she fell in love with harman.then she had to leave him. now there was a guy standing in her room who wanted to marry her and give her all the happiness in the world. why was God doing this with her. but she knew she had to say yes as her parents liked this guy. so for her parents she agreed.taking a deep breath she replied): mujhe koi aitraaz nahi (today she agreed to marry someone else)
preet(leaving the room and turned around): thanks meher (and gave her a smile)

Preet went back to his family and told them about meher's decision. teji was the happiest to hear this. finally her daughter would get the happiness she deserved. both families hugged each other and shared mithai.

Back in the room, Meher was still standing in the same place. She could not move. Today she agreed to marry someone else. today she was breaking the promises she made with harman.she has to spend all her life with preet, a stranger for her. she started crying and dropped on the floor. she hid her face in her hands and cried more. the love she felt for harman few days ago gave her so much happiness and the same love today was giving her so much pain. Meher heard her cell phone ring so she wiped her tears and answered her phone. It was Heer did's call.

Meher(sad): hi didi. app kaisi hain?
heer(confused): hi meher. main to theek hun magar tujhe kya hua. itni udaas kyun hai?
meher: kuch nahi didi. bas…
heer: meher kya preet ne rishte se inkaar kerdia ?(she knew about the whole situation. her maa kept her updated)
meher: nahi didi. unho ne haan kerdi
heer(shocked and happy): yeh to bauhat achi baat hai meher. congrats! aj main bauhat khush hun. itna sab jaannay ke baad bhi woh tujhse shaadi ker raha hai. sach main preet hi woh insaan hai jisne meri heeray jaisi behan ko pehchana hai. i m sure woh tujhe bauhat khush rakhega. acha tu ne kya jawab dia?
meher: maine bhi haan keh dia didi(choking at the words and started crying)
heer: meher tu roo mat please. aj to khushi ka din hai. main jaanti hun yeh tere liye bauhat mushkil hai magar tujhe bhagwan par to bharosa hai na. woh tere saath acha kariangay kyun ke tu bauhat achi hai aur tera dil bilkul saaf hai.
meher(sad): pata nahi didi kya acha hai aur kya bura hai. maine apne baray main sochna chor dia hai.
heer(sad): meher aise mat bol. ab tu dekhna sab acha hoga. acha chal main chalti hun.chahat bula rahi hai mujhe. bye take care
meher: bye di take care

Meher went to her bed and sat down. her maa entered the room and hugged her.

Maa: aj main bauhat khush hun meher.preet bauhat acha larka hai.tujhe bauhat khush rakhega mujhe yakeen hai. usne sab jannay ke baad bhi tujhe apnaya hai. ab tera bhi farz hai tu bhi usay apnayay. main jaanti hun tere liye mushkil hai. magartu vaada ker tu koshish karegi na?
meher(she started crying and hugged her maa. the thought of accepting someone else broke her heart): haan main koshish karungi maa.vaada.(she wanted to make her maa happy so for her sake she said this)

The next few days went in preparation for the wedding. the wedding was in 2 weeks. both families didnt have a lot of time but both parents wanted preet and meher to marry soon and live happily. they could not wait for the happiness to fill their world. but they were not aware of the sadness in meher's heart. it was hard for her to move on and accept someone else. She made herself busy with reading, while her maa did shopping for her with help of Heer didi.

There were a few days left in the wedding. Preet and Meher didnt meet or talk with each other after their meeting. Preet was busy with finishing the office work before the wedding and Meher didnt want to talk with Preet. Preet finished all his office work 4 days before the wedding.

Preet was having lunch with his maa and kuldi. bauji and kiran were at office.

Maa: kulraj tu ne meher se baat ki shaadi ke joray ke liye

Preet looked up from his plate and got interested in the conversation since it involved Meher.

Kuldi: haan maa maine usay phone kerdia tha ke aj hum jayenge usay le ker shop par joray ke liye.
Maa: haan yeh theek hai. hum bas khaa ker chaltay hai.
preet(he wanted to go too. he wanted to see meher and talk with her. he was missing her): maa main soch raha tha main bhi apni sherwani aj le lun.
maa: haan tu kiran aur nihaal ke saath chala jana jab woh office se ayay.
preet(disappointed): laikin maa un ko anay main dair lag jayegi aur shops bund ho jayengi aur shaadi ko itne se din baqi hai (preet was counting the days and hours too)
kuldi: maa app samajh nahi rahi ho. is nautankibaaz ko meher se milna hai(preet embarrassed)
maa(smiling): acha to yeh baat hai. aisa karo tum dono (preet and kulraj) chalay jao.waise bhi mujhe ghar par bauhat kaam hai. preet aur meher dono ki shopping ho jayegi apni marzi se
preet(really happy): thanks maa. i love you.you are the best
maa(teasing him): haan main dekhti hun shaadi ke baad mujhse kitna pyar karega aur teri biwi best hogi ya main
preet(got up and hugged his maa): i will always love you maa and you will always be the best(kulraj joined the hug too)

Kulraj and Preet went to pick up Meher and then go for shopping. Meher was surprised to see him as she thought kuldi and maa were coming but she didnt say anything. she quietly sat at the back seat. There was too much silence in the car and kuldi noticed this. She knew these were too shy to say anything. so she decided to talk.

Kuldi: meher tujhe kaun sa rung pasand hai?
meher(confused): ji?
kuldi: aray itna kyun ghabra rahi hai. maine to bas poocha hai tujhe kaun sa rung pasand hai. usi rung ka dress le laingay.
meher (she liked red before but now she didnt like any colour): koi khaas rung nahi pasand. app ki marzi hai didi app koi se bhi rung ka dress le lain.
kuldi: laikin meher yeh teri shaadi hai to teri pasand ka colour hona chahiye na. acha chal chor. tu apne honay walay pati ki marzi ka rung pehen le. (she turned to preet) tujhe kaun sa rung pasand hai?
preet (looked at meher through the mirror): Red! Meher par acha lagega bauhat (preet was already imagining meher in a pretty red lehenga and smiling. Meher was feeling uncomfortable)

Soon they reached the shop and looked at few lehenge. Kulraj had to leave because her children were giving a hard time to their nani at home. Preet and meher were left alone in the shop. Preet chose a very beautiful red lehenga for meher. it was not too heavy. He liked simple things and meher liked that too. meher was surprised to see how their taste matched. Preet was dropping her home.

Preet(driving and smiling): tumhe. i mean app ko dress pasand aya na?
meher(looking out the window): ji acha hai
preet: woh app ne shop main kuch kaha nahi isliye socha abhi pooch lun. waisay main app ko tum keh sakta hun?
meher: ji
preet: good! app bauhat formal lagta hai. tum bhi mujhe tum keh sakti ho.
meher:ok

Although they had a small conversation, preet was happy that they got to spend some time alone. but he didnt like meher's sadness. there were just 4 days left in the wedding and after that he would make her very happy he thought.

the update was very good! how sweet...preet is smitten with meher! I hope everything works out well! you should have a detailed mehndi/sangeet scene! those are my favorite! and have preet do funny things - like using kulraj's kids to deliver messages! :) you are doing a great job!
