PART 5Meher: woh..woh main kisi aur se pyar kerti hun (preet was shocked to hear this. he was not expecting this at their first meeting) laikin hamari shaadi nahi ho sakti. hum dono ke parivaar is rishte ke liye tayyar nahi aur shayad ab main bhi nahi. (she stopped. she waited for his reply but preet was too shocked to say anything. so meher continued talking) main app ko kisi dhokay main nahi rakhna chahti thi aur app ka poora haq hai sab sach jannay ka koi faisla lainay se pehle. main jaanti hun yeh sab sunnay ke baad app is rishtay ke liye naa keh daingay.woh app ki marzi hai.har rishte ki shurwaat bharosa hota hai aur agar main app se abhi jhoot kahungi to ghalat hoga.
preet was unable to digest what meher just said. this explained the sadness in her eyes and her smile that vanished from her face. the meher he saw in the picture was the real meher some time ago. he didn't know what to say to her. he had seen many girls but meher was the only girl he liked. there was something about meher that captivated him.
he liked her honesty but he didnt know if she was being forced to get married so he asked her : app mujhse milne ke liye raazi kyun hui?
meher(suprised at his question): ji?
preet (looking at her but she was looking at the floor): i mean app ko shaadi ke liye force kia jaa raha hai kya?
meher(taking a deep breath): nahi. main apne parents ke liye kuch bhi ker sakti hun (a smile appeared on preet's face. he thought in a way they are similar. they loved their families. in a way they were both ready to get married to make their parents happy) mere parents ki khuwahish hai meri shaadi ho aur main unki khushi ke liye kuch bhi ker sakti hun.
preet: kya app kabhi kisi aur se pyar ker payengi?
meher: pata nahi (she didnt know what would happen in the future. she always hoped and wished for something else and something else had happened. even though she made a decision in her heart that only harman will remain in her heart, she was still unsure about the future because of the past). maine hamesha jo chaha aur socha waisa nahi hua. (a tear rolled down her cheek)
Preet could see the pain in her heart through her eyes. he wanted to wipe her tears but he could not. for some reason, not known to him, he wanted to see her smiling, just like the way she was smiling in the picture he saw earlier. he didnt know if he liked her or was this only sympathy. he knew he needed time to think. he was never good at thinking quickly he thought.
Preet looked at her for the last time and left her room. Meher thought about what just happened. she was sure preet was going to say no for this proposal and this would make her parents sad. but she had to tell him everything before they got married.
As preet got back to his family, they all left from meher's house. In the car, preet was unusually silent, which amazed everyone.
Kuldi: kya baat hai preet. abhi to teri shaadi bhi nahi hui aur abhi se bolti bund. kya jaadu charha hai meher ka (teasing preet)
preet(noticed what his sister just said and surprised at himself that why he was behaving in this way but he wanted to ignore kuldi for now): please di aisi koi baat nahi. woh..woh (trying to think of an excuse) woh mujhe bhook lagi hai isliye chup hun.
Everyone in the car started laughing as they knew something was going on with preet. Preet gave them an angry look and all of them had to control their laughter.
When they got home, it was pretty late so everyone went to their rooms to sleep. Preet went to his room with confused feelings. he got a call from his best friend, who was more like a brother, Nihaal.
Preet: hey nihaal
nihaal: hi preet. kaisa hai tu?
preet: main theek.tu suna
nihaal: awaz se to tu theek nahi lag raha (nihaal knew preet really well and he could tell from his tone that there was something that was bothering preet)
preet: kuch nahi yaar bas aj phir maa aik larki se milne le ker gayin thin.
nihaal: ohh. phir koi ajooba
preet: aray nahi. woh to bauhat achi thi (he realized what he just said.he didnt know why this came out of his mouth)
nihaal: aray wah. atlast tujhe mil gayi teri pasand ki larki. bata shaadi kab hai?
preet: aisi baat nahi. acha sun main tujhse baad main baat kerta hun (preet wanted to be alone for some time and wanted to sort out his feelings)
nihaal: theek hai.take care.bye
preet: you too. bye
Preet went to the balcony and felt the cool breeze. He closed his eyes and Meher's smiling face appeared in front of him. He suddenly opened his eyes.
Preet(confused and talking with himself): yeh kya ho gaya hai mujhe. aisa to pehle kabhi nahi hua.mere kuch samajh nahi aa raha.(looking up) bhagwaan app ko to pata hai na main kitna confuse ho jata hun itni complicated situations main to app hamesha mujhe hi kyun aisi situation main daaltay ho. mere liye itna sab sochna kitna mushkil hota hai.not fair.(looking down now) pata nahi kyun mera dil chah raha hai main meher ko hansta hua dekhun. us ke chehre par woh khushi wapis laon jo pehle thi. magar woh to kisi aur se pyar kerti hai.kya us say shaadi kerna theek hoga? kya woh mujhse pyar ker sakegi? main kyun chahta hun woh mujhse pyar karay? kya mujhe us say pyar ho gaya hai? magar kya pyar itni aasaani se hota hai? (goes back into the room and sits on the bed) meher kitni achi hai.bilkul perfect. bas pyar kisi aur se kerti hai.magar yeh uski ghalti to nahi. pyar to ho jata hai. (he laid down) kehte hai insaan pyar main bauhat se sacrifice kerta hai. to kya meher ke liye nahi ker sakta main kuch? mujhe nahi pata yeh pyar hai ke nahi magar main chahta hun woh khush rahay. chahay mujhse pyar karay ya naa karay.bas khush rahay. aur uski khushi ke liye main kuch bhi karunga. (coming back to his sitting position and smiling) meher main vaada kerta hun tumse ke ab tumhari zindagi main koi gham nahi aayega aur sirf khusiyan aayengi. (saying this he went to sleep)
Meher also went to sleep. She was really tired because of all the cleaning and cooking and now she wanted to be alone. she was sure that preet was going to say no for the wedding. somewhere in her heart she was happy.
Preet woke up early the next day. After getting ready, he went to have breakfast with his family.
Preet(entering the dining room): goodmorning everyone!
kuldi: aray wah ajj suraj kahan se nikla hai. preet itni subah subah uth gaya.
preet: whatever (ignoring his di) maa nashtay main kya hai?
maa: aloo ke parathay.
preet(he was so happy that he almost jumped in his chair): woww i love you maa(saying this he grabbed a paratha and started eating)
maa: i love you too beta. acha preet tujhe meher kaisi lagi? raat ko to baat hi nahi ho sakegi is baray main.
preet (his mouth stuffed): agfhi lafghi
maa(confused): kya?
preet(taking down the paratha): achi lagi maa(he looked at his plate shyly)
kuldi(happily): ooohhooo. kya baat hai tujhe larki pasand aa gayi finally.(saw preet getting shy) aray sharma kyun raha hai itna? (teasing him)
maa(very happy): preet aj main bauhat khush hun. main abhi teji se baat kerti hun. (preet was surprised to see his mom like that and doing everything so soon.he almost dropped his paratha. maa got up but stopped) aray nahi.chalo hum sab chaltay hai aur teji ko surprise daitay hai.
bauji: laikin savitri abhi office bhi to jana hai maine aur kiran ne. shaam main chal laingay hum sab.
maa: nahi.aj app log kahin nahi jayenge. kitni khushi ka din hai.bas hum jaa rahay hai maine keh dia.
bauji(smiling): yes boss! (savitri shy)
preet(he never left a chance to tease his parents): oho bauji! joru ke ghulam aur maa kaise sharma rahi hai!(bauji got up to hit him but savitri stopped him)
kuldi: preet ab sab tujhse chun chun ker badlay laingay.
kiran: haan tu ne sab ko itna tung kia hai na.teri biwi anay de.phir dekhna hum tujhe kitna tung karaingay!
Preet ignored their threats and ate his third paratha. everyone laughed at his state but they were also very happy for him. meher was a good girl for preet.
Over at Maan house, Meher had a nice breakfast with her family. She told her maa that she wanted to talk with her after breakfast.
Maa(sitting in meher's room): kya baat hai meher bol
meher(looking down): woh maa maine preet ko sab sach bata dia hai.mujhe nahi pata ab kya hoga.mujhe lagta hai woh naa keh daingay.(she looked up) i am sorry maa.main bas unhe dhokay main nahi rakhna chahti thi. app ne hi sikhaya hai na ke har rishte ki shuruwaat bharosa hota hai aur main jhoot bol ker ghalat kerti. isliye maine…(her maa held her hand and stopped her)
maa: beta aj mujhe tujh par bauhat garv hai. tu ne bilkul theek kia. kisi ko dhokay main nahi rakhna chahiye. tu aik heera hai aur teri pehchaan kerne wala aik din zaroor ayega.(saying this she hugged her)
Someone rang the house bell so teji went to the door and opened it. she was shocked to see Preet's whole family there.
Teji(confused): ji app log? is waqt?
savitri(very happy): aray andar to bula!
teji: haan ayay app sab andar
They all settled down.
Savitri: hum tujhse bauhat zaroori baat kerne ayay hai
teji: haan bolo(still very confused)
savitri: teji preet ko meher pasand hai aur agar meher ki haan ho to hum yeh rishta kerna chahaingay
teji (unable to believe): tu sach keh rahi hai?(she looked at preet as she knew that he agreed even after knowing that meher was in love with someone else. preet gave her a smile and looked down)
savitri: aray haan na. agar meher ki marzi ho to hum yeh rishta kerna chahaingay.
teji(happily): woh meher se meri baat nahi ho saki is baray main.sab kuch itni jaldi ho raha hai na. main us say pooch ker aati hun.
preet (standing up): aunty agar app bura na manay to meher se main pooch lun?
teji(confused but then gave him a smile): jao beta
Preet went towards meher room. he remembered where her room was which was amazing because he was not good at remembering stuff. he knocked on the door.
Ok i know after reading this you guys will hate me 😆 i always end it at a very important point. i do it intentionally 😳sorry but it creates suspense and more fun to write and read. hehe
oh i wanted to let you guys know when i will be updating the next part. i think it will take a few days(sorry) i just have to think a lot to write these parts. the beginning was easy to write but this is hard now. but i have a few ideas so dont worry. and also my university will be starting soon😔 so will have to concentrate on studies to so updating process will be a bit slow.
*sorry i know i am talking a lot but this is a message for my readers who also have meet ffs. please update yours too. i miss meet and preet so much 😭 the more you update the happier i will be and i will be in a mood to write and you will get new parts soon 😛 😆
