Preet and heer entered prem's cabin where prem wasn't present however, his assistant (sameer) was sitting there

sameer:maam aap..prem sir ne bataya nahin ke aap office aa rahi hain aur sir aap ki tho aaj chutti hai na?

Preet: who..woh um..pb batana bhool gaye hon gai ..waise who hain kahan?

sameer: subah se kaafi bure mood mein hain..kaam nahi kar pa rahe the tho bus coffee machine se coffee lane gaye hain..woh aate hi honge..aap log bethiye na

Heer: yeh prem bhi chahat ko dant tho leta hai aur us ke baad saara din uska mood kharab hota hai..

Preet smiled but he himself was very nervous.he had to break a news to prem and heer which would indeed make prem feel very gulity and perhaps even more sad.

With that prem entered his cabin sipping his coffee

Prem:heer, tum yahaan? Mera mood theek hai..bus who kaam mein busy tha issliye phone nahin kya..

Heer:par prem, preet ne tho kaha koi papers sign karne hain.. preet ye sub kya hai..and just btw tumhara mood tho kahin se bhi theek nahin lag raha..

Preet:haan wo ek zaroori baat karni thi..umm..sameer..would you please excuse us for a while

Sameer:sure sir..

Prem:kya zaroori baat hai..sub kuch theek tho hai?

Preet:its about chahat and all that happened today

Prem: dekh preet..mein ne usse daanta kyunki uss ne galat kya..ab mujhe iss ke baare mein baat nahin karni..ok.

Preet:Pb masla yeh hai ke iss sab mein ek aur cheez hai jo aap log ko nahin pata aur mein chahat ko defend karne nahin aaya..bus aap log go kuch batane aaya hoon..chahat subah ko meeting ke doraan ghar par thee magar kyun thi ye aap logon ko nahin pata! Who bechari tho ptm mein criticism ki waja se ghar par nahi thi balke ghar bethe woh apne high sugar levels ka solution nikaal rahi thi

Heer: (now very angry and panicking) preet! Aur ye baat usse boht masoom bana deti hai na! uss ne apne sugar levels chupaye.. usse kuch bhi ho sakta tha magar tum usse defend kar rahe ho..preet tumhe ho kya gaya hai? Aur ye baat pehle kyun nahi bataee

Prem: heer.. everythings going to be fine..tum tension nahin lo.. ab bas chahat is growing up..hum se cheezein chupen gi aur hum se jhoot bhi bola jayega

Preet:Pb , bhaabi aap log puri baat tho sune..uss ne ye baat aap logon se zaroor chupai magar issliye nahin ke usse daant pare ya aap log hurt huein balke issliye kyunki jub bhi uss ki diabetes ki baat aati hai tho bhaabhi aap chaahat ko daant thi hain aur pb aap ko lagta hai ke usse is baare mein daantna galat hai and she hates you too not supporting each other..she hates to see you too that way and being the reason for that..she cares for you and cares for your relationship and she landed herself in trouble on purpose so that bhale usse daant pare aap log ke beech mein even choti si baat par disagreement na ho.. wo mujhe ye sub batatay hue ro rahi thi kyunki aap log ki tarah who apni iss harkat ko jhoot samjhthi hai.. and don't know abt you but I call this selflessness..i mean kaun apne parents ki unity ke liye ina sub kuch karta hai?

Prem: (with tear in his eyes) heer, mujhse boht bari galti ho gayi hai

Heer: sirf tum se nahin..humse boht bari gulti ho gayi hai..chahat hamare relationship ko itni priority deti hai aur hum ye samajh hi nahi sakay..is dafa maafi maangne ki baari hamari hai !

Prem : still with tears in his eyes, shook his head..daanta tho maine hai.mujhe is waqt itna bura lag raha hai heer..

Preet who even though had put prem in a horrible state of guilt was happy that his beloved neice would finally get the treatement she deserves..and as usual tried to lighten the mood:

Waise pb jub aap mujhe veera ko aur harman bhayya ko daantthay thay thub to aise aansoon nahi aate hai..

Prem: who is liye kyunki tum log har baar daant deserve karthay thay..ab sub meri chahat jaise tho nahin hothay na. (and with that prem finally smiled)

And now heer was smiling too..

Prem: chalo heer, ab ghar chalthe hain.. hamari chahat ko koi khamkukha hurt nahi kar sakta, specially hum..

Preet: that's exactly what chahat wanted too..ke aap donon ki chahat yaani ke aap dono ka pyaar kamsekum aap dono kharab na karein..woh bhi us ki waja se..

Prem: preet, mein ne ye recently tujh se kaha nahi hai but I really love you J

With that prem and preet hugged smiling away and heer and prem drove home..

In the car:

Prem: mein subah ko kitna mean tha.. god I am so evil

Heer: aur mein bhi kaafi mean thi..tsk

Prem:tum tho hamesha daantthi ho.. mein ne pehli baar who bhi itni buray tariqay se usse treat kiya! I bet she dislikes me more han you abhi..itna kiya who bhi sub hamarey liye! so whose gonna start with the apology? Mein nervous ho raha hoon..HEEEEEERRR..mein subah ko bohat zyaada mean thaaaa !

Heer:fikar mat karo..l! She ll surely understand..aur woh waisay bhi hamesha tumhari side laytee hai! Ho jayega..

Prem nodded and there was silence for a while ..

Heer: prem par shaayad thoda mushkl ho..tsk..bechari!

Prem laughed :)

Then they reached their residence and both went up to chahat's room..

Chahat was busy studying on her bed,prem and heer went and sat there too..

Prem: hi..watsup hon..

Chahat: hey! nothing..just studying..aap itna jaldi kaise aa gaye..?aap ki preet cha se kuch baat hui thi kya?

fear was vivid in chahat's eyes..and now prem couldn't look into them..he was out of words and just hugged chahat tightly saying:

sorry bacha.. just really sorry for the morning..meri preet se baat hui..

and as soon as she heard this chahat began to cry..

but he told me he wont tell you.

heer: oyee..idhar aao..stop crying .. good he told us warna hum tho kuch aur hi samajhthay..tumhari kuch galti thi but you hid all that for us..for our relationship..and its okay..tum humari itni care karthi ho and we actually really appreciate that..haina..haina prem?

Prem: of course we do, but just remember next time don't ever hide anything like that even for our benefit or something..ok? just don't ever, aur choti misunderstandings tho sub mein hoti hain..dont put yourself in so much pain and trouble for us..

Chahat..pa! don't say that! Sub mein hoti hai par aap dono mein nahi honi chahiye! You've been through your share of harships which even though have made your love story epic have now no more space in your life..you guys deserve to cherish the awesomeness of your love every moment..

Prem: ok love, you make my life feel SO complete right now! Aur Heer..ab beware! Mein aaj se kuch zyaada hi romantic honay wala hon..har jaga har waqt! Chahat ka order hai na..mujhe koi rok kay dikhae!

Heer:prem..iss ke saamne tho nahi..

Prem: kis ke saamne nahin? Iss oldie ke saamne jo doosron ke liye itnaaa sochthi hai..

Chahat: pa, I am not an oldie ok! Aur agar mein oldie hoon tho aap kya hain? You get emotional for everybody..you want everyone's benefit..sub ke liye acha sochthe hain..quiet gatherings prefer karthe hain..and the list goes on and on and on.. and guess what i call that super oldie!

Prem:kya kaha? Mein super oldie hoon..theek hai..! woh high sugar levels thay kyun?ab bus main subah walay mood mein aane wala hoon..(while saying that prem slightly pulled chahat's ear)

Chahat:sorry sorry sory..you're like so young pa..like like totally young..i mean you look like my brother..kahan se aap meray dad lagthe hain?

Heer now burst into laughter..how prem would sometimes actually appear as if he was actually chahat's age!

Heer: ok enough love..sorry to intervene but sugar levels thay kitne?

Chahat:mamaaa...sahi honay ke baad bata doon gi

Prem signalled heer that he'll handle it and suggested her to go because to stop heer from panicking after seeing high sugar levels was almost impossible..

Heer protested but prem convinced her to go..

Heer left the room and prem reached for the kit..

Chahat:paaa! Nahin please na!

Prem:ye zaroori hai acha! Aur ab tho injection bhi nahin lagana hotha yaar.. when you've been through that when you were so young..iss mein kya masla hai?

Chahat:par sugar levels zyaada hain!

Prem:koi baat nahin! Lets just check..okay..it does nt even matter..we ll fix it!

Chahat nodded but testing her sugar llevels was definitely one thing she hated the mosst and this time it surely was not going to reflect improvement !!

Prem checked chahat's sugar levels. Chahat knew her father was disappointed but one couldn't really blame her. She was just bearing the brunt of something that wasn't even her fault in the first place.

Here. Heer was waiting anxiously for prem to come out and tell her how bad the news was.

The news was bad but not something that hadn't been dealt with before. Prem came outside chahat's room..

Heer: prem.. kitna tha.. sub kuch theek tho hai.. koi bhi doctor se appointment abhi urgent le loon ya kal doctor mehra ke timings par loon

Prem consoled heer with a hug and assured her everything will be alright and told her they should go to their regular docter for chahat's diabetes, dr. mehra only. Just then, his phone rang

It was Harman (imagine the first one NOT the second one :l )

Prem: hello

Harman: prem bhayya .. ek second preet ko bhi conference call par join kar loon

….

Preet: hello..

Harman: preet, prem bhayya bhi conference call par hain

Preet: sub kuch theek tho hai.. PB subah ki galti ke corrections to kar liye.

Harman: konsi galti.. koi mujhe bhi tho bataye..

Prem: who chahat ke saath thodi misunderstanding ho gayi thi.. details baad mein bataoonga.. tu ne phone kyun thaa..

Preet: ek minute.. ek minute..P.BEEEEEEEE… story itni bhi nahi choti karo ke meri taarefein hi hat jayein

Prem: (laughing) haan haan harman preet bohat mahaan haii… is ke baghair aaj mein apni duniya ki sab se bari bhool kar leta.. preet heera hai. Preet ki waja se aaj mein sahi kadam le paya.. aaj tho kya … hamesha preet ki advice se behtar is duniya mein koi advice nahin hoti.. preet to..

*all 3 brothers laughing*

Preet: bas bas PB.. Harman bhayya aap ne phone kiya kyun tha

Harman:yes yes.. getting to the point.. aaj aap dono free hain tho dinner pal chalet hain.. the kids and us.. sab ke reports aaye hain.. sam (Sameer… Harman's son.. 8 YRS OLD.. GRADE 3) ke pehli dafa exams the and he got an A.. preet agar gungun ..i mean agar.. report.umm

Preet: haha bhayya bechari gungun stereotype ho gayi.. she has improved… is saal daant daant kar B par pohanch gayi hai

Harman: WOW.. that's amazing.. this surely calls for celebration kyunki chahat ne as usual apne exams ace kiye honge..

Prem: not ace actually but we come for dinner.

Preet: PB, itne naashukray hain aap.. ace nahin kiya … A aaya hai.. aap ko hua kiya haii.. please potential par lecture mat dena abhi

Prem: lecture kya.. I know she can do better .. so where are we meeting for dinner
