'Ahem, There are other people in this world here besides you two, you know.'
Heer turned around to see Preet standing there with his eyebrows raised. Both the girls apologised and Heer went to her uncle and aunty to take blessings, after which she introduced the family to Prem. On Kashish's introduction to Prem, Kashish looked him up and down, and then she looked at the smile on Heer's face.
'So Heer, he is who you've been waiting for your whole life, your prince charming. I must say it was worth the wait if he came back looking so fit,' murmuring this in Heer's ears, Kashish got the good fortune to see a slight blush creep up on her friends face and then the look in Heer's eyes when she looked up to see Prem gave her the assurance that he would keep her friend happy.
Prem saw the light shade of red on Heer's cheeks as he wondered what Kashish had said to her. When her eyes met his, he understood it was to do with him and so he decided to ask her later.
'Heer beta, tum aur Kashish apni baate baad mein kar lena, pehle jaa kar fresh ho jao, hum khana lagate hain, tumhara kamra balcony wala hai,' Chetan knew of Heer's relation to the moon, so he had already given that room to her, which was where she stayed everytime she came over.
'Lekin uncle, aap takleef kyun le rahe hain, hum to apne farmhouse mein rehne waale hain.'
'Nahin beta, maine Balraj se baat karli hai, aur usne ijaazat de di hain. Tum jao aur haan, Prem ko bhi uske kamre tak chod aana, uska kamra tumhare kamre ke saamne hi hain.'
Everyone made their way to the dining room, while Prem and Heer made their way upstairs to their rooms. On leaving Prem to his room, Heer was about to leave when she heard Prem call her. She turned around to face him.
'Heer, Kashish ne tumhe neeche kya kaha?'
Heer looked up at him and sighed. She knew she couldn't hide anything from Prem, so she just told him, but was surprised to see the glint of sadness appear in his eyes.
'Prem, is baat ko sun kar to tumhe khush hona chahiye, Kashish ko tum pasand aaye, phir tum udaas kyun ho?'
'Heer, Kashish ne ek aur baat bhi to kahi thi na, ke tum mera itne saalon se intazaar kar rahi thi. Yeh sach hai Heer ke itne saalon se tum mera intazaar kar rahi thi, lekin yeh bhi sach hai ke in saalon mein aisa ek bhi pal nahin tha jab maine tumhe yaad na kiya hoye. I'm sorry Heer for making you wait so long.'
Heer goes up to him and hugs him.
'Prem, mujhe tumhara intazaar karne mein koi problem nahin thi, kyunki mein jaanti thi ke tum ek din aao ge aur wo din meri zindagi ka sab se acha din hoga.'
Prem lets go of Heer.
'Hey, to humare shaadi ka din tumhare liye second best hoga kya?'
Heer playfully hits him, while Prem grins.
The two make their way downstairs and sit at the dining table.
Chetan starts speaking.
'Prem Heer, abhi abhi Lalit ka phone aaya tha aur wo keh raha tha ke wo sab bhi yaha kal aa rahe hain, kyunki sab chahthe hain ke tum dono ki sagaai Yahan hi hojaye.'
