Part 3

Prem stood there shocked, he thought Heer came back to forgive him, to give him a second chance to come back into her life…but apparently, he was wrong. His heart shattered when she told him that she had come to meet him only for a business deal. Couldn't she see the love he still had for her in his eyes? Couldn't she see the pain he was going through without her? His heart ached for the past 5 years, he yearned for her every single minute…couldn't she see that?

"Heer, please, meri baat samaj ne ki koshish karo…" Prem started to say.

"Ab samajne aur samjhane ke liye kuch baaki nahin reh gaya Prem, toh please, iss baat ko aur aage mat barhao, mein already tumse bol chuki hoon ki mein vaapus nahin aane wali…is that clear? Now may we please talk about our business deal now?" Heer stated.

"Yes, of course…"Prem replied bluntly.

They discussed the deal within an hour or so…Prem couldn't believe Heer would change so much within five years, and he could only blame himself for that because he was the reason she left from his life. He felt so miserable, looking at Heer's cold, blunt eyes was hurting him, she wasn't like his old Heer…she was much different now, if only he could go back in time and fix everything up, nothing like this would've happened. It was all his fault, if he had just listened to her and trusted her, he would still have his Heer with him, how could he be such a fool?

"Alright Mr. Juneja…I hope you've got the knowledge of our deal pretty well, now I have to leave, we'll start our work tomorrow. Nice meeting you…Bye." Said Heer as their meeting was over.

She turned around to leave when Prem stopped her…

"Heer, ruko…" He said, and came behind her, facing her retreating back.

"Prem, mujhe jaana hai, bhaut der horahi hai…Payal mera intezaar kar rahi hogi…"Heer replied.

"Aur mein?...Main toh tumhara paanch saal se intezaar kar rahoon Heer, kya tum mere paas vapus nahin aana chaho gi?" Prem asked while tears approached his eyes.

Heer turned around frantically and said, "Nahin Prem! Main tumhare saath nahin aaungi! Tumhe pata hai kyun? Kyunki tumne mere pe vishwas hi nahin kiya! Balki, tumne mujh par shak kiya…tum hi bataao…kya koi patni apne pati ke paas vaapus aaye gi agar uska pati uspar shak kare, ya phir us par jhoote ilzaam lagaye? Do you really think I would come back after all that pain you've given me?" Heer shouted.

"Well let me make it clear Mr. Juneja! I will never come back! Not at any circumstances! Because you have betrayed me…and I'm never, ever going to forget that!" Heer stated, while tears rolled down her cheek.

"BAS! Heer! Bas!...I know I've hurt you a lot, and didn't trust you, and I regret every single day for not believing you! Do you know how I lived all those five years without you? I was alive, but my soul was dead…because you weren't with me…"Prem broke down, and leaned his head against hers while cupping her face in his hands.

"Heer, I love you…and I'll always love you…and I know you love me too, if you hadn't, you would've never come back to me. Even if you hide it, I can still read your eyes Heer, and they tell me that deep down in your heart you still love me…"Prem said in between sobs.

Heer wanted to believe every single word he was saying…she wanted to embrace him into a tight hug and never let go, but she couldn't, because her ego invaded her heart, and she pulled back while wiping her tears.

"Prem…ab bhaut der ho chuki hai, I have to go…"Heer said and ran out the door, with precious tears falling from her eyes.

Prem stood there devastated, all he wanted was to get his Heer back…and his beautiful little daughter. Wiping his tears back, Prem had a determined look on his face…and he said to him self.

"No matter how hard it gets, I'm gonna bring you and my daughter back in my life…even if I have to cross my limits…and that's a promise!"

It was eleven o'clock at night when Prem reached home from work.

"Prem…tu aagaya? Itni der kyun lagaadi beta?" Gayatri asked.

"Aapse matlab?" Prem responded coldly. For the past five years, his relationship with his mother was not so good, they didn't talk that much or more like at all.

Gayatri even realized her big mistake and begged for forgiveness, but Prem didn't accept it, he was as stubborn as a rock, after what she had done, it was impossible to forgive her. Gayatri, kept trying every single day, to get Prem to forgive her.

"Tune kuch khaaya Prem?" She asked.

"Bhaut raat ho chuki hai…mujhe sone jaana hai." By saying that, Prem quickly went upstairs to his bedroom, not giving Gayatri a chance to speak further.

When he reached his bedroom, Preet was standing there, folding his arms…giving the look of "where-have-you-been-all-this-time?"

"Arre Preet?! Tu soya nahin abhi tak?!" Prem asked.

"Nahin Bhaiya…Jet lag! Remember?" Preet said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Ohh! Right…main toh bhool hi gaya…"Prem said, as he sat on the bed and loosened his tie. Right then Preet came over and sat next to him.

"Kya hua bhai…aap kuch pareshaan se lagrahe hain…koi baat hai kya?" asked a concerned Preet.

"Arre, nahin yaar…kuch nahin, bas din bhar ki thakaan, aur kuch nahin…"Prem replied, but hid his face from Preet, not letting him see the stress he was going through.

"Nahin bhai…aap…aap Heer bhabhi ke baare mein sochrahe hain haina?" Preet asked, leaving a shocked Prem.

"Tujhe kaisa pata?"

"Bhai, maine airport pe sab dekh liya tha…aap mujhse kuch chupa nahin sakte...So did you talk to her PB?"

"Yeah, I did, but she said she doesn't want to come back…she hates me now Preet, she hates me!" That did it…Prem broke down, he couldn't control himself anymore…Preet gave him a shoulder to cry on.

"Aww PB! That's not true, I'm sure she still loves you…in fact, I KNOW she still loves you…have full faith in your love bhai, be positive…just wait, within a few days Heer bhabhi will be yours again!" Preet assured.

"But how can you be so sure?" Prem asked.

"Because I have a Plan!" Preet said with a smirk.
