Recap: She was like my little kitten. Always cheering me up whenever I am sad. But her questions did get me thinking. Yes'.Heer was "without a question" BEAUTIFUL. Her niceness was sweeter then sugar. I think she liked me but just as a friend. And her last question'."Are you in love with each other?" I don't know about her, but I think that I really am. I was falling head over heals for her. Now was this LOVE or just an attraction'..I still had to figure it out.

PART 12

STILL PREM'S P.O.V:

After lying to Maa that we were going to meet Arjun, I left with Heer to go and check out her house. After about 15 minutes, we reached her house. At the sight of it, I remembered the night I had taken her as a hostage to get money. I couldn't stop from thinking how angry and stressed out I must have been when I did the crime. I could clearly remember her pushing herself away from me while I dragged her out of her house and took her away. Day by day, the guilt inside me was increasing.

I slowly parked my car in front of the mansion-like structure. We both got out and slowly headed towards the entrance. I didn't know what she might be feeling. Was she missing her house?

After ringing the bell, an old man opened the door. He must be a new care-taker of the house. From him, we found out that Heer's step-father had permanently moved to Mysore and Ranbir had gone to America.

Phew! That was a relief. I expected her to go inside and check her house out, but she didn't. She gave it a glance and then walked off towards the car. Something in my heart told me that she had tears in her eyes. But I dare not ask her right now and make her cry more. We quietly sat back in the car and went back home.

The car ride had been silent and Heer just kept looking out the window. I felt as if she was missing someone'.someone really dear to her.

We reached home around 2 in the afternoon and had our lunch. Maa already had lunch ready. She had freshly made warm samosas and jalebis. And Jalebi was the one item that I would eat when they were around. MY MOST FAVORITE! While we were eating, I saw Heer turn back into her normal self. But I couldn't stop wondering who she was missing?

After lunch, Maa started preparing all her stuff while Heer and I helped her and listened to all her instructions.

"Prem'.take care of Heer. She is you responsibility now so you better keep her happy. Give her whatever she wants and don't you dare leave her alone." She had warned me while packing. Heer just gave me a pitiful face and I just smiled at her.

Time flew by while we talked and got things ready. It was already 7:00 when Heer left the room and went towards the kitchen. I followed her out because Maa was busy putting her medicines in her purse. As I walked into the kitchen, I saw her cutting up sweet carrots. I was about to call out to her but stopped because I didn't want to scare her again. I watched her for a full 15 minutes while she made something really, really delicious. As the fragrance from the food spread, I was able to recognize the food. "Gajar ka Halwa." She took some of it and placed it in a bowl. After quickly cleaning up, she took the bowl and turned around'..but she stopped when she saw me there.

"Were you here the whole time?" she asked me suspiciously.

"Yea'.I was''who's that for?" I asked indicating to the halwa. She looked at it and then back at me.

"It's not for you so back off'..it's for Maa" she told me with a grin.

"But didn't she say that she wasn't going to eat anything'." I asked her.

"She did'.but she might get hungry and tired'..so I thought that maybe if she ate something, she might feel good." She said this and headed to Maa.

This is totally not attraction Prem. You are falling for her'.dangerously falling for her.

After coming back to reality from my dream land, I decided to call up the doctor. I was let down when he informed me that he had started Preet's operation, but he wasn't going to let me come there. He said that it was no point as they were all busy in his operation. They had to just keep me out. SO'..now that meant that I HAD to go to Arjun's house for dinner and that too'with Heer.

At 8:00, we left for the railway station.

After Maa's train left, we headed towards my car. And while we were walking, I somehow remembered that I hadn't told Heer about going to Arjun's house for dinner. What if she doesn't like the idea? Putting up courage to speak, I finally asked her.

"Heer'" I said softly. She was walking besides me and her arms were hugging her as if she was feeling chilly. The breeze was pretty soft but I knew she was feeling cold. When I spoke up, she instantly stopped and looked at me. Man was she gorgeous. Her eyes, her nose, her lips, her skin, her hair'..just took my breath away. Her eyes were examining my eyes.

"I wanted to tell you something'" I said in a hesitant tone. She slightly smiled and stood still, wanting to listen.

"One of my friends has invited me over for dinner'." I started off.

"That's great'" she said with a smile but she might have noticed the frown on my face because she asked me "Is there a problem'?"

"He wants you to come with me'.."

Her smile vanished slowly and then she lowered her eyes.

"You don't have to go'I will just tell them that you are busy'." I said trying to bring that smile back on her face.

She looked back into my eyes.

"It's not that'..but won't you feel awkward if I go with you'." she asked me politely. I looked at her face.

"I thought we were friends'..then how will I feel awkward'." I told her with a smile. "And besides'.I never feel awkward when I am around you'."

I saw the smile come back on her face. It suited her so much.

"So you are coming right..?" I asked to make sure. She gave me a nod and an assuring smile. We both sat it the car and drove off home. We reached home in 15 minutes and both decided to get ready. Heer had her stuff in my room so I took my clothes and went into Preet's room to get ready. I quickly took a warm shower and dressed my self. I had a gray colored polo t-shirt on with a black blazer over it, and wore dark blue jeans. My hair was still a little wet but I let it stay like that because my hair had been freshly cut and it looked perfect. I put some cologne on, gave myself one last look, and then went to the living room to check if Heer was ready yet.

When I came out, I didn't find her there. I went into the kitchen and grabbed a glass to drink some water. While I was drinking the water, I heard a door open. I turned around to see who it was.

And trust me, I LITERALLY chocked on the water. Her delicate figure and her angelic look almost made me faint. She was wearing a simple salwar but the brown and crimson colors were complimenting her'..or should I saw, Heer was complimenting the dress. I was going more for the second option because whatever Heer wore, she looked drop-dead stunning in it.

As I stared at her, I noticed that she was the first girl I had seen who managed to look beautiful with out any make-up on. Her dark eyelashes, her rose colored cheeks, her twinkling brown eyes, the light cream-colored skin, and her slender figure were all just.....PERFECT.
