Good Update.I liked the way it started.Keep it up
Hey guy's, sorry for the late update, I've been caught up in other things and have been going through a personal problem which didn't put me in the mood to write. But here you go, a short update for now. Hope you like it.
Ash and Heer stepped into the living room to embrace Lalit and Gaytri, and he immediately began to comment on how they've grown up so fast. Everyone was smiles and laughter.
Heer plopped herself down beside Lalit,"To Heer beta, apne future ke barein me kya socha?" Lalit questioned.
"I want to be a fashion designer; I'm already working with a magazine company as an intern. I want to work my way up from there,"
Heer could see her father deliberately turn his head the other way from the corner of her eye. He wasn't pleased.
"Wah kya baat hai," Gaytri commented, "Heer tum zaroor apne papa ka naam roshan karogey,"
Then Lalit went on to ask Ash, who announced the news about her promotion, everyone was impressed.
Ash looked around the room searching for the person that was missing, "Auntie, woh Preet kahan hai?" she asked hesitantly in a low voice.
"Woh upar nahaa rehien hai," Gaytri replied with a smile.
"Ash puttar, upar jaa kar check kar le, kahin Preet ko kuch aur cheez ki zaroorat to nahin hai," Teji said. Ash was thrilled; she wanted to see Preet... or better known as Kaduu. She couldn't contain herself any longer, in her mind she remembered Preet as this chubby, sweet, and funny kid, she couldn't wait to tease him. At the same time she felt shy, she hadn't seen this person in so long... what if he's changed?
She slowly walked up the stairs and pulled out a couple of towels from the closet and made her way to the room she figured that he was in. Looking around and seeing no one inside, she left a towel on the bed since she didn't want to knock while he was in the shower, that would just be plain awkward. Suddenly she heard the door knob of the washroom rattle, Ash panicked, "Don't come out!"
Preet popped his head out the door, "What, who... umm.. oh,"
"Uhh...yeah... I left a ...towel on your bed... and I'm ..er..going now... sorry... bye," Ash gestured towards the bed and was ready to launch herself out the door.
"Ehm... mind passing the towel then?" Ash's eyes shot up surprised by his request, actually it sounded more like a command. His face didn't show any expression it was quite of intimidating.
"Uhh kay," She lifted the towel towards the door with her face facing towards the side.
Preet paused for a second, glanced at Ash, then said, "Thanks..." *slam* the door shut.
"You're welcome?" She murmured with a puzzled look on her face. At this point Ash felt extremely embarrassed, and it didn't help that his tone was unfriendly. What just happened here? She couldn't help but wonder what was going on in his head.
Kul's condo wasn't far from the Mann's house. Although Kul offered to drop Prem off to their house, he didn't accept. He didn't want to put his sister in such a position, to be sitting outside the house where her parents where just one door away. She wanted to be with them so bad, when she needed them the most they weren't there, and even if she did step in there and try to speak to her father he would turn his back to her. Prem understood it all, and wasn't going to intensify that grief. So he decided to get there by taxi, that way no one get's hurt.
"Yeh Prem abhi tak nahin aaya?" Gaytri mumbled to herself.
It was like Balraj was on the same wave length,"Lalit, yeh Prem kab aayega? Kitne deer ho gaye hai, why don't you call him,"
It was then that the doorbell rang, Heer ran to answer the door. The front door was opposite the living room which was on the other side of the house. From the outside it might've looked like no one was home since all the lights on that side of the house where off. She wasn't expecting Prem at the door at all since it wasn't so easy to find their house, so if it was him, he would've called to ask for more detailed directions before he showed up.
She stretched onto her toes to look through the peep hole but all she saw was the back of someone's head. Heer sighed and opened the door. He turned around, he was wearing jeans and a white t-shirt with a grey zip up hoody. Her eye's ignited and widened with a very confused look. He also looked back at her, the corner of his mouth was lifted in half a smile but eye brows where crunched together, it was like there was a big question mark above both of their heads.
"You, who... what?" Her words fumbled
"Uhm ... I... hmm..erm," Prem looked at her face, at a loss of words.
