Part 22 :
Sorry for not updating this for a week... Was depressed with the current track on the show and didnt want to write something for the sake of writing...
Anyways, thought and thought as how I would like my story to proceed and so here I go...
Three hands rush to save Gayatri, one foot caught on the other end of the railing, while one on the floor..
Ma - cries preet as he holds her arm. Gaurav by this time has come behind Gayatri, one hand holding her and the other around her waist as if holding her tightly. Prem thinks Gayatri as she feels that touch. she turns around, a faint smile emerging on her lips as she sees the other hand, Its Harman. Preet and Harman bend down and slowly removes her feet from the other side of the railing on to the floor.
Gaurav releases himself from Gayatri and turns to go, when she catches hold of his hand,
Prem, cries Gayatri
Gaurav breaks his hand from gayatri and goes away.
Preet and Harman look on, their arms around Gayatri and Preet wipes her tears, shaking his head, telling her not to cry, as both preet and harman have a flashback.
Flashback.
It was a Lohri Party recently, where RR had taken Heer and given Heer a Dress to wear. No one could understand the reason for Heer wearing that Dress and she looked stunning in it. Preet remebered telling Heer not to wear it and heer refusing the show. Heer had gone to the party, much against her own will and against the will of the family. Carrying a heavy heart, she had proceeded for the party with Rishabh. At the Party, Heer was very uncomfortable in the dress, while every one making snide remarks at her. Rishabh had drugged Heers Drink by winking at a waiter. Heer was not wanting to drink but RR was forcing her to drink. Gulping the drink down, she had started filling dizzy. Gaurav who was standing in the corner, had noticed all this. The girl looked awefully familiar to him. His colleagues were nearby making conversation and Gaurav wasnt thinking really about it.
Getting awefully Bored, Gaurav hapenned to look around, when he saw a group of men around a girl, and the girl extremely uncomfortable. Excusing himself, with a drink, Gaurav made his way to the crowd after he had asked a fellow colleague to bring as change of clothes that she might have in the car.
Gaurav slowly approaches the girl, and sees a waiter coming along. He purposely collides wih the waiter in such a way, that the drink falls on heers dress. Wrapping her with a coat, he takes her away from there, along with his fellow female colleague, who helped her change.
There is a worry of Gauravs face, as he takes Heer to the fellow colleague house. Gaurav picks up Heer and puts her on the bed, totally mesmerized by the beauty on heers face.
I can kill that RR now, thinks Gaurav.
Meanwhile Preet had seen RR insulting his bhabhi and he went and picked up a fight with RR. (Basically, while the fight was happenning, Heer had gone to change) which resulted in Preet going to Jail.
Heers Phone Rings. Its a call that gaurav picks and its from the police staton. Its RR telling Heer that Heer is in Jail and she has to spend a night with him, if she is to release Preet from Jail. Not hearing a yes or no , RR puts the phone down.
Gaurav hearing the phone is aghast, and runs to the police station. Some one recommends him Harmans Name, whom he calls and requests him to come to police station.
Gaurav goes to the police station and releases Preet, saying his lawyer is on the way.
Preet and Harman on their part, cant overcome the emotions, the feel at seeing Gaurav. Yeh kaise ho sakta hai, they wonder.. Karishma, Kudrat Ka Khel... How is it even possible. Stunned and at a loss of words, they look at Gaurav. Gaurav is leaving the police station, when he trips down the stairs and Harman and Preet hold him.
Preet comes out of his flashback mode and thinks that his heart is telling him that it is Prem. He hadnt really been able to come out of the police station incident. He remembered going back to the police station the next day, asking them who it was, who had released him. The police officer had given them the name of Gaurav Sharma and his card. Preet wondered, if this was the actual reason that made him g o to the TV Agency that day, or if it were Lalit getting insulted by Gaurav.
Harman on the other hand, wondered who this messiah was, who saved the family from troubles. He remembered Gayrav taking them to his colleagues house, from where they had taken Heer ; preet taking her home and Harman going back to the house. Harman wonders as to why he came back here and what made him come here. What was the pull he felt, today of all days.
