A lot of time has gone by since the advert was placed by starplus/BT, so reaction to this article is a bit delayed, in my opinion.

The ad/publicity stunt was done in poor taste, I agree. And I am not sure it has helped. Pictures of actors are always garlanded when their character passes on in a show, so I am sure seeing that was nothing unusual. But seeing it in a newspaper, with the actual date of birth and without being informed can come as a shocker to people close to him.

From what I can gather, despite all that has happened, HC still attends events held by BT and Starplus and from the looks of it is still in their employement.

So the cynic in me wonders if this is late outrage to what has happened is not another publicity stunt.

Edit: **Just read the rest of the comments, being a monthly mag etc... if the intentions are truly genuine then it's good, and high time, finally we get to hear Harshad's side of it... but it hurts to think of a great actor and great human being being manipulated like this.. whether BT gave him the opportunity to shine or not... this is not the cost that should be extracted from him in return... and yes, I agree that he behaved in a very mature way by keeping a "dignified silence (credit to earlier post)" I just hope he moves from strength to strength... getting pulled out of KHMK, then KDMHMD, then not even appearing in TSPLS... all for what! ...so there...! yI meant when characters pass on they are garlanded in the show - that is not unusual but to see it in newspapers and with exact date of birth - that is a shocker to any family.

We only know him as an actor so I cannot comment on ' he is the last person to mislead anyone'.

I have never said that the act was not horrid or that Harshad was part of the publicity stunt. What I am saying is that the cynic in me still doubts whether starplus/BT are not behind this article. They have gone through so much extremes to promote their show that I would not put this stunt beneath them. Looking forward to reading the article with actual quotes from HC.

@ Maya : forgot to add this earlier but he himself said in the article that he kept his phone on silent - probably he too was shocked and didnt know how to react... me going to thabk gr8 magazine....

When the world in general is matlabi and where there is survival of the fittest, how can we expect BT to be sane? Ever seen corporate? must watch it if you havent...
