That was one interesting epi; if I may so bold to say. I was very impressed by the actress who plays nalia. She was absolutely superb! My mouth was down to the floor. Never did I imagine that she could deliver those lines with such vigor and passion. If I wasn't watching it on TV, I would have thought that this was truly happening. Nalia's outburst was just fantastic. Naaz has brought out her bad side. Judging by her pervious appearances, it would appear that nalia is a sweet, calm, nurturing person, and to see her in full force ready to slap naaz was unexpected. I mean, naaz definitely deserved it, acting as she did, first engaging in an act that is haram in Islam, and then lying to nalia's face. I had never seen nalia so angry before, not even when those pics of tambreen were shown, or when nasreen's affair came to light, or when hadi sahib blasted her for betraying her trust. To see her go literally blow up makes the viewers realize that gambling is something she is truly and deeply against. Also, her reaction emphasizes the message that Muslims shouldn't gamble since it is forbidden. Also, nalia was hurt to see that naaz had out her bangles for the bet, but she was more hurt by naaz shamelessly lying to her face. This showdown has pitted nalia against naaz and now that nalia knows naaz's true face, she will put all her energy towards changing her.

On the other had, I was disappointed in yasir's behavior. He is making the same mistake w/ his mother as he had made w/ tabreen. He's trusting naaz more than his mother and sister. Wait, that sounds weird… It's good that yasir is listening to naaz, and acting upon naila's words to fully support his wife, but he shouldn't shoot down the other side of the story. Even in a court case, each side is allowed to present and argue his side, and then the judge passes his decision. In that same regard, yasir should also look at both sides of this situation. How can he so easily toss aside naila's words? This situation is similar to what tambreen had been saying earlier. All of a sudden, these good-hearted people have become liars, hoodlums, sinners? No! No body changes overnight. Both yasir and hadi sahib need to clear their heads of everything and think things through, then they'll realize that there must be some truth to what naila and tambreen have been saying. Yasir has become a complete joru ka ghulam. He chooses now of all times to support his wife 100%? It's ironic and hypocritical of yasir… so is he the only one who has a right to suspect and criminalize naaz? Get a dose of reality! That scene was truly heartbreaking b/c nalia was shocked by yasir's reaction, and yasir's expression was: who are you to place blame on naaz? He is a complete bimbo. (sooooooooooo fustrating!)

I was also surprised when he said that it was insignificant if naaz gambled with her friends. :O No way! I'm sorry, but I'm Muslim, and I have to disagree with that. Drinking and gambling are specifically forbidden by Allah in the Qur'an. Even if I wasn't Muslim, I still wouldn't drink or gamble b/c I personally feel that they are a bad habit. Anyways, going back to the drama, I thought what yasir said was completely out of line by saying what he did. If nalia dishonored naaz's friends, that can be mended, but by giving naaz the thumbs up that she can gamble, drink, etc., she is being put in a position in which her relationship w/ god is lessened, and her relationships w/ other ppl becomes strained. If this is yasir's method of showing support to naaz, it's pretty pathetic. You never support someone in a wrong action. True love, or any kind of love, is part of showing and keeping you beloved's values and morals in check. You need to show them what's right and prevent them from doing what is wrong.

The mystery person who had called in an earlier epi is tambreen. I wonder why her face isn't shown. Is it b/c the actress has been replaced? From the silhouette, I felt that her dressing was different. I don't remember whether or not she was wearing jeans and a tee, but I did feel that she was wearing a dupatta (orni) over her head.
So tambreen and nalia have been conversing all this while. There's no doubt that tambreen has told naila everything about naaz's contribution in "helping" her become a model.

That is if the mysetery woman was tambreen. Last time it was naaz; this time it seemed as though it was afreen.

At the end of the epi, when the servant girl went to sell naaz's necklace, who do you think the woman who called her a thief was? I think it may be tambreen, back to expose naaz's true face. Or it could also be saniya; it's a stretch, but what if she presents the situation as follows:

Saniya pins the "theft" on the servant girl and gets brownie points w/ the khan family, who slowly accept her as a kind person whom they misunderstood.
  1. saniya exposes that naaz had given the necklace away in spite and earns brownie points w/ the khans b/c she bs's that she was just looking out for her friend, and b/c she had done something wrong, she (saniya) had come to teach her a lesson of morals.

However, it's unlikely that the mystery woman is saniya b/c she'd still be where AA are so as to see through the separation of AA and get closer to azaan.

My second fav scene was when AA are trying to catch a cab and are stopped by a fakhir who blesses them and prays that they (I'm not 100% positive if he said they or he as in referring to azaan) will be able to today, they will accomplish their goal. Afreen takes this to mean that he is referring to azaan as saniya's manzil, but as an AA fan, I have to say that the fakhir baba was foreshadowing the union of AA. They are each other's manzil. Azaan gets all blushy blushy again while afreen gets upset.

Note: The fakhir baba's clothing was too crisp and new. I haven't been to Pakistan in 7 years, and I'm not an expert, but I would think that his clothing would be more raggedy. Some of the magic was lost from this scene b/c that one costume stood out more vividly and it made the scene a tad unrealistic. I haven't seen azaan or afreen dress in such bold colors either. A change in wardrobe may be nice. Both azaan and afreen and many of the other characters wear such plain, dull colored clothing. Adding color adds a little edge. Another point I wanted to add was that AA always match… color wise. Both wore blue in Thursday's epi!

I kind of don't like how many of the events in khwaish happen off stage. Like in Thursday's epi when AS met. Azaan just recalls his convo w/ saniya. On one hand it's good b/c the story moves along faster, but it also deemphasizes certain scenes. Oh well. Though, this method is quite unique.

Anyways…

So azaan met w/ saniya an she fed him a bsed story about how afreen wants them to marry b/c she wants to be free from azaan. That is so not true. Azaan, think for yourself. Would afreen seriously use saniya as an excuse to leave you? If had felt this way, she would have taken the initiative a long time ago and would have left you. Afreen loved kabir, a lot, but that doesn't mean that she can't get over it. It's saniya who get over her obsession w/ azaan. I loved it when saiya said, "Do you really think that she can ever forget kabir's bhai? Did you think she would fall in love with you?" Of course, I don't like that she's poisoning azaan's mind, but this line shows that afreen not only reigns over his mind, but also his heart as well. He as fully accepted her, and even saniya realizes that afreen is taking over azaan's mind and heart. If saniya truly loved azaan, she would let him go. She would think of his happiness rather than her own. She would think of his happiness in afreen rather than thinking him as a prize to be won from afreen.

Saniya made it seem that Afreen wants them to get together, rather than putting her emotions on the table and saying, "I love you, and I want to marry you!" What she says and how she says it makes it seem as thoough she was forced by afreen to come back. She was willing to step put of their lives, but it was afreen who complled her to some back.

Afreen as finally admitted that she is also in love w/ azaan. She laments that she has to let him go now that her heart has fully accepted him. She is unhappy that like kabir, he will also leave her, but she accepts her fate with a smile. She makes due w/ what she knows she has rather than chasing after a mirage like saniya. My heart swooned when afreen said that her heart had again started to create dreams, she had begun to dream, but now those khwaishaan will remain unattained. For his happiness, she is willing to break her dreams. Azaan as well is willing to engage in an action, he is willing to marry saniya for afreen's sake, for her happiness's sake. This is true love. True love is letting the person you love, go; if he/she was meant to be yours, then he/she will return. Also, one only acts in a selfless manner towards those whom we love. AA's willingness to sacrifice for each other shows how deeply they have come to care for, and how madly in love they are w/ ea other.

I loved the last scene when AA are walking around. Afreen is putting on a brave front, hiding her pain and sadness from azaan. Azaan, on the other hand, is sulking about. He angrily agrees w/ everything afreen says, saying that he's happy by the surprise and whatnot. Azaan was so cute. He was pouting! LOL! When he agrees w/ what afreen says, he... I can't think of a better word than pout. He's like, fine, ok, whatever. He's angry at afreen for not understanding him, but he can't blame her b/c she was his bro's wife first. He's willing to do anything for afreen's happiness even if he doesn't agree with it.

(I want to add to this later after I re-watch this scene.)

Azaan wants a direct answer from afreen. Is she happy w/ his union w/ saniya. I think that afreen will lie and say yes b/c she doesn't want to be a burden on azaan.

Idk whether azaan will confess to her or not. If he doesn't, afreen will return home and tell everyone that their marriage was a faade and AS love ea other. Wedding preps will be under way… let's c what happens.

Note: In the scene when afreen is thinking to herself that her heart has accepted azaan, she says (I need to re-watch this part) something that this will be the most significant time of her life. I think the "eight weeks" are drawing to a close, but, that may not even be significant anymore.

Enjoy

I am pretty sure Naaz and Saniya will end up exposing eachother somehow...but I do not think it will be this soon. I will, however, be ecstatic if Saniya gets hold of Naaz's weakness!

My second fav scene was when AA are trying to catch a cab and are stopped by a fakhir who blesses them and prays that they (I'm not 100% positive if he said they or he as in referring to azaan) will be able to today, they will accomplish their goal. I love that. For his happiness, she is willing to break her dreams. Azaan as well is willing to engage in an action, he is willing to marry saniya for afreen's sake, for her happiness's sake. I do not think Azaan is willing to marry Sania...he is willing to leave Afreen for her happiness but that does not equate with marriage with Sania. No? This is true love. Wedding preps will be under way…I really do not hope so. What I do think will happen is that Azaan will convince the family to go along with whatever Afreen say's esp. since she is pregnant...but not sure where the going along will lead them...not AS marriage please. let's c what happens.

Note: In the scene when afreen is thinking to herself that her heart has accepted azaan, she says (I need to re-watch this part) something that this will be the most significant time of her life. I think the "eight weeks" are drawing to a close, but, that may not even be significant anymore.

beautiful analysis....
you made me have tears yaar with AA scenes....
it was really beautiful...azaan made me cry on that episode when he sits on the bench with tears and shock thinking that afreen never loved him at all...he was looking as if he has lost his world totally...no desire to live because there is no life without afreen....

though afreen was hurt but she broke azaan heart very badly
