AFREEN (PRIYA ASHOK BATHIJA)
Priya plays Afreen the young, kind-hearted and high-spirited girl. She can never see anyone in pain and is always ready to help. Afreen is treated as the son of the family and is their strong support. With strong family values and belief in self, Afreen has many dreams to fulfill and take on in life.
In reality Priya is no different from her on-screen character Afreen. She has done her schooling in Devlali and has learnt textile in designing from NIFD. As a child she was very ambitious and while growing up she dreamt of making it big one day. At one time she wanted to fly high by taking up an airhostess job but in her heart she craved to face the camera and work on television.
Her first step towards acting came with a chance audition for a Balaji show after which she bagged the role of Afreen in Khwaish. In the true sense of the word 'Khwaish' Priya believes fulfills her long-standing dream and has give her all in life.
KABIR KHAN (SUMEET SACHDEV)
Sumeet essays the role of Kabir Khan, a dashing young man who returns home after many years of living abroad. He is the eldest son who is very responsible and affectionate towards his family. Calm, simple and down-to-earth Kabir is madly in love with Afreen and will do anything to keep her happy.
The actor Sumeet Sachdev is known for being selective about his roles. Clich as it may sound, but acting came by chance and not desire. After being an architect in Delhi, it was stage (plays) that brought Sumeet to Mumbai.Since then there was no looking back.
He shot to fame with the character Gomzy aka Gautam, an arrogant and aggressive eldest son of Mihir & Tulsi, who was given away in adoption, in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. This show and the role made him a household name. Recently he was also seen in Karam Apna Apna, which further strengthened his association with Balaji Telefilms.
In his free time, Sumeet enjoys playing tennis, listening to music and playing the piano. He also hopes to be part of musical theatre someday.
ZARIN KHAN (ANJU MAHENDROO)
Zarin Khan alias Anju Mahendroo is Shanawaz Khan's wife, she believes and follows the family traditions, yet is very modern in her outlook towards life. A caring wife and mother she does everything to keep her family together.

Yasir Shah plays Azaan, Kabir's younger brother. He and Kabir are complete opposites; Azaan likes fast life and follows the western culture and lifestyle. He is self-opinionated with a carefree attitude. He is pursuing his law degree from London and prefers to settle there instead of joining his family business.
Yasir was born and brought up in Karachi, Pakistan where he did his schooling and college. A commerce graduate, Yasir started his career with modeling assignments. He modeled for 3-4 years for all top photographers, reputed designers and participated in many fashion shows in Pakistan and internationally. He did television commercials for brands like Coca Cola, Motorola, Levis, Woodward and Sony Eriksson and then Khwaish happened to him.
