Kesar Update for Thursday (09-01-05)

Everyone at the Mallya House is preparing for Janmashtami and wait for Kesar to return home.

Kesar is walking on the road. It is raining really hard ('Bepanha' song plays). Abhi, too, is walking, remembering what had happened between him and Kesar. Kesar goes to the temple and prays. She tells God that she had trusted Abhi so much, as much as she trusts God but he has broken that trust today. She tells God that if she were made to give in to Abhi's condition, she would lose her trust in him (God).

When Kesar returns home, everyone is surprised to see her in the condition she is in (she's drenched in water and is very tensed). Dadi asks her to freshen up for the prayer.

Janmashtami celebrations are going on at the Mallya House while Abhi goes to Kadambari's house. She is surprised to see him there. He tells her that he needed someone to talk to. He tells her that she lied that he would do a very noble deed before he dies but today, he did the most disgusting thing ever and wants to die already. Kadambari consoles him. They hug each other. She then blows out the candle.

Kesar is outside the house when Anand joins her. He asks her whether she was able to meet Abhi. She tells him that she met him but he wasn't the same Abhi she knew. She tells him that they have lost 'their' Abhi.

Kesar goes to the room and sees Rudra asleep. She sits next to him and looks at him. She then sees an empty pack of sleeping pills and is shocked. She wakes Rudra up but he doesn't get up. She shouts out his name and starts crying. Just then, he wakes up and asks her as to what happened. She hugs him and tells him that she can't live without him. She tells him that she saw the empty pack of sleeping pills and got scared. He tells her that he only found two sleeping pills and took them, as he couldn't sleep. He tells her that if it were full, he would've taken all of them, as he can't face anyone after what he did. Kesar tells him not to say that. She tells him that he should face his problems. She tells him that failures are a part of life but he doesn't have to stop living because of one failure, instead he should grow stronger and move on. Rudra hugs her. Kesar tells herself that Rudra and her family mean a lot to her and she is ready to do anything for them.
