Such a wonderful post for an extremely sweet episode, Anu! This one has been especially fun to read, along with all the comments in this thread!
I wanted to write a reply to this post earlier, but I kept getting distracted by the scenes - all my attention would end up on the episode...Khair, I am going to jot down some of my thoughts as I watch the episode yet again...*sigh* This show...*shakes head* I am quite amused at my timing. Of all the weeks to start watching this show religiously, this had to be the one! I'm thankful that I caught up in time!
- The tune in the opening scene: Ah, this tune! I've taken to calling it "Saachi's Theme" for now because it caught my attention in the very first episode itself...It's so very pretty, like a lullaby, almost. The way it's used in this scene really enhances Sangeeta's acting...The tinkly lightness of the tune, the softness of the vocalist's humming...and Sangeeta's adorable expressions as Saachi fidgets and shifts and smiles and blushes and pouts and then throws the covers over her head...😆 Oh, Saachi, you are too sweet! LOL, and then the beep-beep of the phone makes her jolt upright! I think she made an "Oh!" expression, too...? I am so glad that they started the episode from here instead of cutting directly to the next day. The restlessness and almost delirious happiness in Saachi's demeanor as she tries and fails to fall asleep is so endearing. Sangeeta topped the cuteness level during the bit where Saachi texts DV back, IMO. Love her expressions as the voiceover matches it perfectly! And the "Hello...?" with the feigned groggy expression...🤣 This is the third time I'm watching the episode and I still have to pause there while I laugh out loud...
- Haaye haaye, the nakhrewaali act on the phone! 😆 On one side, DV is all knowing and like, "You were thinking about me, weren't you?" and on the other, Saachi is rolling her eyes at him, teasing him, and then blushing. LOL, I bet DV's looking at the terrace door as he's talking. The flailing Romeo bit with the ladder was well-shot, I have to say. I cracked up watching Ruslaan's legs dangle over the edge of the balcony 😆 That was refreshing. No landing on the terrace or climbing over the windowsill like a skilled ninja in the night!
- "Kaun dekhega? Saamnewaali khidki mein jo handsome ladka rehta hai, woh toh iss waqt yahan hai." And the disarming grin! I love how Saachi can't help but laugh in response to that. Even when she tries to go into Teacher Saachi mode and make a stern face, it only lasts for a few seconds. "Har roz, har roz..." He said it 5 times and even I didn't see that "rose"pun coming the first time, haha. But on a more serious note, I love the way DV falls silent when he caresses Saachi's cheek...and she leans into his touch and sort of nuzzles his hand...Ah, so beautiful, this is! He wants her to feel loved and cherished...and it's so clear that even the smallest of these gestures means so much to her.
- And there's the rose! 😆 Instantly DV's expression changes from serious to playful - Ruslaan is so good at transitioning from one to the other, haha! "Waise aap kya soch rahi thi?" So cheeky! 😆 The way Saachi looks up at DV here is so cute! There's a lovely sparkle in their eyes as they interact all throughout this scene...Sangeeta and Ruslaan plus well-written/well-directed banter equals happy viewers! 😆
- The way she shakes her head firmly and slowly when he tells her to close her eyes...love the music that accompanies that bit. I find it so funny that DV pouts a little and Saachi relents with a pout of her own, but only after looking both ways 🤣
- Chocolate! Their laughter is adorable! How cute can these two get, seriously? I love DV's little monologue about all the little things they will do to fill Saachi's life with color. All of these little gestures and gifts have so much significance to Saachi already...and it's those little moments that mean so much in life, I think. It's like DV's 5-minute ka funda...The most joy comes from being with people one loves, doing things one enjoys even if it is for a brief moment. The simple pleasures in life...
- Major kudos to the writers for making DV cooperative when Saachi tells him to leave! That's something we don't see very often 😛 In most shows, the guys make fusses about staying a little bit longer, but here, DV serenades Saachi for a bit and is compared to Ulka Kaaku 🤣 The slight hitch in Sangeeta's voice as she says "Kabhi bharta hi nahi" before giggling after Ruslaan's affronted "Ulka Kaaku?! Saara romance ka kabaara kar diya." is great. These little nuances in the performances are what make these characters so relatable...I don't feel like I'm watching actors, I feel like I'm watching Dhruv and Saachi live out their lives. Such a fantastic rapport between these two actors just makes their scenes flow even more beautifully!
- Silent communication again! "Go to sleep!" "I will, now go!" ❤️ LOL at the way Dils has to drag DV away. The bit with Saachi and the rose is lovely, too.
- LOLLL Aaji, Naani, and Saachi at breakfast! The music just makes this scene even more fun. "DV?! Sach? Aaaji? DV?" "DV...mera profile bana raha hai yeh soch kar aa gaya pasina. *mumbles* Har cheez mazaak lagti hai." 😆 Priceless expressions, too!
- "Par?" "Par...Nahi bol paayi, na! Ab kya hoga?" She's like a kid here, aww! She stomps her foot and wrings her hands and frowns and everything! Love the way her forehead instantly smoothens out when DV says "Main Naani-Aaji ko handle karloonga" and she gives him a little smile of thanks. It's wonderful that DV can be so supportive and provides the reassurance and positivity that Saachi needs while still being playfully romantic from time to time.
- DV in aashiq mode...and Saachi tries to prevent things from going too far by removing her hands from his, LOL. "Phone! Dekho na, kaun hai." This eye-rolling and smiling is already like a Dhruv-Saachi trademark reaction, haha. That, and DV trailing a finger down Saachi's cheek, perhaps...This entire conversation is super cute! "Abhi toh mera kaam mujhe ghoor raha hai..." Saachi's attempts to give DV stern looks are failing miserably today!
- Ahaha, Naani actually counted 🤣 I love this duo of Aaji-Naani, yaar. I wonder how they'll take the news of Saachi's actual dulha later on, since Naani is a romantic and Aaji seems to be more of a pragmatist in these matters now that Saachi has rejected more suitors. DV listening happily to Naani's pyaar ki daastaan while Saachi keeps looking from DV to Naani-Aaji tensely reminded me of varying reactions to a tennis match 😆
- "Chocolate...?" Gah, I love the tone with which she says this! 😆 A little uncertain, a little flustered...while DV is being a nautanki again...😆 Can't wait to see this scene.
