Panchi still media shy

Panchi Bohra was happy to pursue law and go on to be a lawyer. However, things were about to change when her friends thought of auditioning for a Balaji Telefilms' show and pulled her along. Need we say who made it through and who didn't?

Panchi says, "It's weird because I had never considered acting at all. Even after facing the camera so many times, I am still camera and media shy. I still get nervous when journalists ask me for an interview."

This is Panchi's second year at the Star Parivaar Awards. She is has been nominated in two categories, Favorite Jodi with Shabbir and Favorite Bahu, in the popular TV soap, Kayamath. After winning the award of Favourite Naya Sadysa Award (Female) last year, Panchi expected to be nominated for the second year in a row. Panchi is keeping her fingers crossed about winning either or both of the nominations.

She will be seen performing at the awards night and assures us that she isn't nervous. She says, "After performing at so many award functions, I am used to it and I don't worry about them. I am looking forward to performing on stage."

Yes, Panchi. And you have one of the best dancers, your co-star and close friend as your partner. So why would you be nervous about dancing on stage with him?

I think she was banking on the best jodi award what with all the publicity Michi got. The poor girl was nominated in the wrong category. Not that she was not a good bahu but her forte was being the best patni and best bhabhi. Unfortunately the weirdos did not get her nominated in either of them. All that glycerine could not win her the award!
