Yes, Shabbo's father is a Punjabi(Sikh maybe because Ahluwalia is mosty a Sikh name). His mother is a catholic, dont know which region.

Vasu, these names are interchageably used. Sameer Bhatia who founded hot mail is not a Muslim.

Another thing ishi, both are bad singers if Shabbo's singing in KYM and Panchi's singing in SBS interview is anything to go by!

From what little knowledge I know..Ahluwalias r Punjabi Hindus..but I think someone must be a Muslim in their family..

Maybe his parents liked the name Sameer and to rhyme his name maybe named their younger son Shabir as normally some people do usually the younger sibling has a rhyming name with older ones ! Btw I've never seen any muslim who spells his name Shabir instead everyone spells it as Shabbir ! Hope I didn't confuse u more !

I also read in an interview that Shabbir had done a diploma course in multi-media. Panchi in her interview said that she had wished to pursue a course in mass media. Now both are in the television media, sending many a heart fluttering!

By the way both have broad endearing smiles which literally light up their face. Hope OGF gives them a track which will get them to smile more often.

No ify, these articles I read over a period of time an have committed to my memory as I do Michi scenes. I make my observations only when I feel there is some merit in these articles.

Moreover, there could be a dozen things which are dissimilar between these two which I am not aware of.

Opti he is Sabeer Bhatia not Sameer Bhatia and yup he is not a muslim.

I completely agree with u Opti 😆 I still remember in one of her earlier sbs interviews where she was with Jay she sang the song "Chaha humne tujhe" and while she was singing Jay playfully shut his ears to show the audience how bad she is at singing 😆 😆
