Part 5

Milind looked at the girl who was shouting at him. She was dressed in a white salwaar kameez and had a beautiful aura around her. Her eyes were dark brown, they were lined with black kaajal and had a depth in them. Her hair were been swayed elegantly by the mild wind that was blowing. One of the tendrils kept falling on the face. The silver danglings she wore were sparkling in the sun and which went beautifully with her dress. She was trying to clean her face and dress with her dupatta. Her lips were like rose petals and there was a small mole on her right cheek .Milind had never seen such a sight. She looked like an angel standing at the side of the road. Maybe it was all the weather and the atmosphere doing tricks on him. But he couldn't keep his eyes off her. His eyes were fixated on her face admiring her every feature. He had seen a lot of baeutiful girls but the innocence on this face was something he could not ignore. As he stared at her he felt lightheaded and his heart skipped a beat!!!

Prachi was now furious, not only had the man spoiled her beautiful dress but was now staring at her and it look as if he was staring into space. He didn't move a bit but just kept looking at her which annoyed her more.

"Tum andhe ho??" Prachi snarled " Mere saare kapde kharaab kar diye?? Dekh kar gadi kyun nahi chalate? Gadi mei to ho kya saari sadak tumhari ho gayi?? " Seeing that the man didn't reply to her question, she further inquired "Kya behre(deaf) ho?? Sunaai nahi deta?? Main tumse kuch pooch rahi hoon?? Oye mister?? yeh tukkar tukkar kya dekh rahe ho? Kabhi koi ladki nahi dekhi kya??"

Milind wanted to say that he was sorry and opened his mouth to speak but words didn't come out. His eyes got fixated on those lips which were moving as if saying something to him but his mind could not register.
Prachi had been shouting at him but she got no response so came to a conclusion " Mujhe lagta hai ki tum gunge(dumb) ho" Saying this she turned around to go to her house.

Miland had just been staring at her all this time and when she turned to go away, he brought his hand up as if to stop her but the girl was long gone.
Th driver came out and said " Sir, woh ladki aapko inta kuch suna kar chali gayi. I m sorry sir. Yeh sab meri galti se hua" Miland just put a hand over his driver's shoulder and asked him to drive to their destination.

Prachi was mumbling to herself when she entered her house which amused Saumya.
"Didi, yeh sab kya hua? Aapke kapde?" Saumya asked.
Prachi was in no mood for talking. Earlier today also she had been involved in one sided converstion. She simply said " Somebody splashed some muddy water on my dress" She then turned to go to her room "chodoongi nahi main usko" she muttered under the breath. Saumya wasn't the one to back off so quickly. She ran behind her sister "kisne??"
"I don't know him, haven't seen him before" Prachi replied.
"Achcha yeh to bataao ki woh dikhne mei kaisa tha??" Again Saumya asked.
Prachi had collected her other pair of dress and was walking towards the restroom to change, she looked back at Saumya thoughfully.
"Junglee!!!" she said with a laughter and closed the door.

Miland on the rest of the way couldn't keep the girl's image out of his mind. Once he reached ,Neev came to welcome his friend. He got a warm welcome from Neev's family too. He was surprised to see Neev's mom been so nice to him. She had made great preparations for his stay. She seemed to be loving and warm unlike the cold person Neev had portrayed earlier. Even Neev was surprised to see his mom's behaviour. Something seemed fishy but he discarded the feeling, he just wanted his friend to have a ball while he was there.

Neev took Miland to show his room. Once settled, Miland told Neev about the incident that happend earlier. Neev listened patiently while Miland described the girl whom he now called Pari. "pari??" Asked Neev.
Miland ran his hand through his unruly hair nervously. He looked down at the floor and told him "She looked like an angel, man"
"So u don't know her name?? U didn't talk to her?? but from the looks of the whole situation, u have fallen for her." Neev asked to clarify his doubts.

Miland just nodded in silence. Neev jumped with excitement. "Finally my friend has fallen for a girl. Agar mujhe pehle pata hota ki tujhe Punjab aakar pyaar hoga to main tujhe yahan pehle le aata" He said hugging his friend.
"Neev, but what will I do now? How am I ever gonna find her??" Miland was a bit restless. Neev just asked him to relax.
"Tu uski chinta mat kar, I will have a talk with Prachi, she and her sister know almost all the girls in the neighbourhood. Usko doondhna mushkil nahi hoga." Miland looked a little hopeful.
"Ab tu aarram kar aur apni pari ke sapne le. Tomorrow we have to go for the Lohri function" Saying this Neev left Miland standing alone in his room. He went to take a cold shower to ease his mind. He was determined and knew that with the help of Neev and his friend(Prachi) he will find his Pari.
