Anju, those eyes are conveying his longing to be with his wife again. He has been having that expression ever since they chased him to the outhouse. Even in the haldi ceremony, he did not smile when Prachi smiled at him shyly. He was looking at her with hunger and intensity which only comes when you have been away from your beloved for a long time. I dont think that was sadness in the real sense of being sad but rather being disappointed that he is not getting what he wants which is quite natural given that he has been starving for pretty long now.

aww poor him.He just cant,can he?.There is a lot of longing in those eyes .Stupid mamaji banishing him from the house and to top it P the pusher 😆.
