Part XXIII-Past: As I said in my last comment on the previous chapter the intimacy between Michi seemed forced to me, plus I felt disappointed in Milind for getting intimate with Prachi in the first place to begin with, so I was just waiting for Milind's perspective place, really wanted to know know what was going through that head of his. You narration of Milind's feelings was good, I think you conveyed it well that his attraction to Prachi stemmed from her caring nature and her unconditional support as well as her physical beauty. So I can understand Milind making advances towards Prachi was a culmination of that attraction and that day's events where he found himself even more drawn to her.Yes, the attraction has been building and had he not heard Ali's lecture he would have regined in that feeling but Ali's lecture subconsciously made him go with the flow. Still feel bad for Prachi having to be humilated the way she was, and am glad that her humilation hit him hard as well because something good came out of it, with him telling Prachi that he married her on the rebound. I have to say, I think she took the truth exceptionally well. This girl is too simple. Yes, she has been told that her huband had loved someone but she was also told that the girl never returned his love and he himself does not love her. So she has no cause for concern.
Anyways, I think he did well by not revealing the identity of his dream woman, that would have lowered Prachi's self-esteem even more. Somehow I wish she never knows about his dream woman's identity, I see it is kinda irrelevent now, knowing the identity. Yes, right now the identity is not relevant espcially since he does not even love the girl but rather what she stood for. Only he can tackle that problem, not she. She can only give him time which is what he asked.
I think the confrontation between Michi was powerful, when Prachi lashed and said how he made her feel like a tramp and cheap. When she lashed out at him here using the word 'tramp' that he himself used when he questioned her on that disastrous failed seduction night, was just powerful, I could justice picture him cringing, the words ringing in his ears to the extent of him putting his hand over her mouth. Again, very powerful stuff with Milind giving Prachi a choice of divorce and a new life with him, he did the right thing here, shows that he is not selfish, and respects her all the same. Yes, Milind is trully ashamed of what he had inadvertantly put her through. e respects and cares a lot for her much more than even he realises.
The girl did not take much time, did she in making her decision?. No she did not. Here again it is a combination of her simple heart which accepts people and their actions at face value and her faith in her love. She loves her husband. There is no doubt in her mind about it. she is convinced that he wants to love her too although he is unable to now. As she said she knows that someday he will because her love is strong. So it would be foolish for her to throw away that chance.
