It had been a week now that Milind had returned from prison he had been evicted of Ayesha's murder and Mallika had been found guilty. In a fit of madness she had accepted her crime publicly screaming at Prachi promiing to kill her once she walked free. The judge had ordered her life time imprisonment and regular psychiatric treatment. Prachi had still not been able to tell Milind that she was indeed expecting their first child. As he browsed through his files for the airport hotel project Milind had chanced to read Prachi's pregnancy report filed neatly, she had probably mixed it up with his files and had forgotten all about it. He read on in wonder and amazement he was to become a father his wife was two months pregnant. His immediate reaction was to throw the file aside pull his wife in his arms and kiss her insane but he stopped himself. Prachi had known all this and had kept it from him, now he'd make her tell him this piece of news. Restoring the file back in it's original place he carried on with his work. Prachi had been pondering on ways to break the news to him all this time his inability to share the joy the news would bring with her had stalled her from informing him and now when he finally was here she was at her wits end. Everytime she thought about their child she was reminded of those wonderful moments spent with him and it would weaken her but she had to tell him, he was afterall the father.
That night as Milind lay stretched out on his bed Prachi had approached him nervously "Milind aap sey kuch zaruri baat kerni thi mujhey " she had started seating herself beside him. "Kiya baat hai Prachi?" Milind had feigned ignorance. "Milind woh ...aap" she willed herself to look at his serious face "Haan main.... Kiya hua mujhey?" he had teased her his face still sombre. Prachi had twisted her pallu before getting up "Chaliye merey saath" she held his hand forcing him to follow her as he protested but she carried on stopping infront of the nursery he had so lovingly decorated for their child. As they stepped inside she let the door click shut before gathering her dispersed wits "Milind aap mujhey eik baar yahaan laaye they.... yaad haina aapko?" she had questioned him hopefully. Milind supressed a smile before answering "Haan Prachi laaya tha.... lekin abhi tuu mereyko yahaan kyun laayi hai." he had asked pulling her closer. "Milind aap jo chahtey they woh honey waala hai." she had smiled shyly hugging him "Humarey ghar main eik naya mehmaan aaney waala hai." Milind was full aware of what she meant and had a hard time restraining himself from picking her in his arms. "Dekh Prachi agar tuu yeh kamra Sukriti or uskey aaney waaley bachey ko dena chahti hai to dey dey mujhey koi aitraaz nahin hai." he had smiled at her and Prachi had opened her eyes in disbelief. "Milind aap to kuch samajhtey hii nahin hain" she had complained as she punched him lovingly on the chest.
"Kiya samjhana chahti hai mujhey?" he had winked at her as his arms slid around her waist he turned her around so that her back rested against his chest. She let him feel her stomach savouring his touch. "Bol na" he nuzzled her ear "Milind aap Papa banney waaley hain....... malum haina aapko?" she had questioned him softly as he kissed her hair with love. "Teri dhadkan sun ker terey dil kii baat jaan leta huun to bata yeh kaisey nahin janunga. Thank you Prachi for everything." turning her around to face him he had kissed her supple lips in satisfaction his family was finally going to be complete. Prachi had rested her hands on his chest as she drank in the elixir of his love she felt unbound happiness tonight.
