@bold, it will be opposite, Katha can sue the company for doing gender bias in giving job and promotion. Even it is private company, they have to follow Government rules and regulations.
@red, completely disagree. I dont understand where it is hinted that Katha was interested in him subconsciously before ONS. The theories are completely made up to greywashing Viaan ONS offer and to justify love story.
There are phases of life. There is phase where Katha just want to save Aarav, then she was scared of Viaans touch after ONS and try to keep distance from him, then she was consciously aware of his presence/action, then she become curious about him, after knowing his past she instantly forgive him then got interested in him in lonavala (their first proper talk), from there love story start. Even in their love story there are phases.
Rest of the thing, I agree.
@bold many things have been said about it. We all know what is ideal and what actually corporate houses follows practically and how law and loopholes works. What made you think earthcon didn't have gender bias point cover already. There were already sufficient amount of female staff and who would have sided with katha to give testimony in her favour?
And I guess it was not about gender bias and giving job to female but more about that she had a child who was terminally ill and demand most of her time which means less time and focus on job. While anyone could sympathize with her but ultimately any corporate house would have denied job to her. Thats why when she looked for another job after resigning from EC, she resolved not to hide any details. She even managed to convince new company about her time commitments. She could have done in EC also if she was so righteous but that time she hid the important detail just to get the job. So its an significant misrepresentation of facts and makes a cause for counter claim.
Anyways, lets not get into the details of ifs and buts here. Its a waste of time because show didn't follow that path. If it did then it could have been a good law drama.
@red well you have full right to disagree as I already mentioned its just a theory and its MY theory. Its like how I interpreted things from certain nuances of characters and story. Its not universal truth. Different people look at things differently.
But just as I dont agree with people bashing viaan left right and centre and putting katha on mahaanta ka pedestal, same way, everyone will not agree with my theory and its perfectly fine.
