I acknowledge fully that its perhaps useless to post what I am about to post as the prejudices in this forum will never change......and we talk of world peace...ha ha ha....

Anyways, coming to the point, since a host of you guys are from the US, given below is an extract of a web page of the APA Help Centre (American Psychological Association).......do check the website.....

"What happens to people after a disaster or other traumatic event?
Shock and denial are typical responses to large-scale natural disasters, especially shortly after the event. Both shock and denial are normal protective reactions.
Shock is a sudden and often intense disturbance of your emotional state that may leave you feeling stunned or dazed. Denial involves your not acknowledging that something very stressful has happened, or not experiencing fully the intensity of the event. You may temporarily feel numb or disconnected from life. As the initial shock subsides, reactions vary from one person to another.

How do people respond differently over time?
It is important for you to realize that there is not one 'standard' pattern of reaction to the extreme stress of traumatic experiences. Some people respond immediately, while others have delayed reactions - sometimes months or even years later. Some have adverse effects for a long period of time, while others recover rather quickly."

The whole point of mentioning the above is in the context of what we saw in the Kasturi serial over the past few days.......while it is good to joke and so do I (and those of you who would have read my posts would know that KC is my pet target😆).........do we really think that leave apart KC the kith and kin (i.e. Singhania's Sabharwal's and Chawla's are not bothered about Raunak) reacted in an unnatural, way.....my answer is NO.😊

Lets concentrate on the most targeted ones on the forum

1. Robbie.......Initial shock is the most natural reaction when you see a traumatic event....Did all the people who watch the World Trade crash run to it immediately....No ....the point is what did the person do after the initial shock wore off....in this case Robbie jumped.....in the larger context what is important ....the fact that he did or the fact that we settle personal scores over how he wanted KC to beg before he jumped?.....Secondly, could there not be a simple explanation that Robbie didn't know how to swim?......but still took the risk.....of all the male members in the Singhania, Sabharwal and Chawla family up, until now only he has shown some real action....where were and what did Vikas, Ariv, Nikhil and Ajay do????.....so far from what we are shown ....nothing......and it is not possible that a calamity of this proportion happened and no body knows. Thirdly so many times in serials we are shown flashbacks when the character is not actually thinking about it....so what made all of us conclude so quickly that Robbie thought of the bad things RAKA did to him when he was desperately searching for Raunak?

2. Kasturi........While personally this is the character I am now irritated with the most ....faced with a trauma situation ......its again very normal for a person to be immobolised and seek for help......which is what she did......she asked Robbie to help her......so can we find fault with her as to why she jumped in so late?......to my mind no

3. The Singhania Parents ..........It may shock many of you but its true.......not all people think of thier own kith and kin over their own safety and secondly they were in any ways too late on the spot to do anything?

4. The Chawla parents......JP showed some action towards rushing to get the others for help.....which to my mind was a fair thing for a person of his age to manage......and he did that

5. Devika Sabharwal........Robina will love me for what I am about to say.....this is how a mother should be.....fiercly devoted to her kids and concerned for them......but does it mean Nandini and Kaushalya don't care.......well they do.....its just that Devika, as shown to us, is able to quickly held hold of the situation than others

6. Vikas and Ariv......to my mind these were the only horrifying behavious 🤢of the last two days.....if I were Raunak I would pained at this realisation......they didnt leave their not so deserving woman when theys should have been helping thier respective fathers and elder brother who were trying to search for their other elder brother

Lastly, while I am otherwise a very private person......I will say something personal..........I lost a dear 21 year old cousin in an accident......he had gone for a picnic near a waterfall with 25-26 friends and hostel-mates, men and women....the day progressed well and as they were about to leave they decided to have one last photograph near the waterfall......as fate would have it he slipped and fell about max 30 feet below......from what we hear after the initial trauma some of the other boys tried to jump and climb down ....3 of them finally hauled him out with the help of the shirts, dupattas, belts and stoles of the other people.....by the time they rushed him to the city hospital......it was over.......the doctors said he had choked on the water and the trauma didnt help....later on after the shraddh we went there to see the site and trust me it looked so manageable to get a person out of that fall....especially when there were 25-26 other young people......

The police asked my uncle and father whether they suspected anything......and the answer was "This is our destiny and its unfortunate that this happened....his time had come.....we blame no one"....................................

If after reading all of this you guys even if one of you feel that what we were shown the last two days .......apart from the bloopers....does happen in real life then it will be nice.....

what raksh said is correct , in real life it will not be so easy to jump and save unless it is mother kid relationship 😃 . and yes blame game will never work.
in real life what your uncle and father did will happen most of the time because we want to keep the memory of the deceased on a a very happy good memory rather than blame game where we try to punish the culprit by finding them or by compaling to police but in the process we go through so many rough deals ourself 😭 😭 .
i believe in good punishing bad people that does not mean i will take all the bull shit by bending my head but then there will always be a limit. you need to through mud at some body you have to make your hand muddy first na

First of all Iam really sorry abt ur cousin yaar. I can understand how u must have felt it at tat time.

But I also want to say something. Leave VAT, wat happened to RaS parents yaar😡... Devika went home to take Shivani out of tat place which is very much fine. But wat abt Dushky-Nandu???

Wat abt Kaushi-JP?? Everyone went in their own direction not bothered abt their kids. Wat happened to Puru? Devika went home with Shiv, But doesnt he care for Robbie???😡 Wat kind of dad is he???😡

Lets come to this Cliff Scene itself... The research article said, either u are in shock or u r in denial mode.... Iam failing to understand wat KC went thro here... Was she in Shock??? Definitely NO. Was she in the denial mode?? Again NO.... Wats up with tat never ending screaming..... Fine, as a woman, she cudnt take the first step to do something. May be she is tensed and not thinking clearly as to wat to do... So iam giving her some leeway in this.

Now, Iam more interested to see wat will Kc do now tat Shiv accused Robs.. Iam sure KC is in crystal clear state now

Agree that they didnt seem to react and VAT were the worst ....but i can still understand the respective parents as at least they were in a constant state of worry and grief....but VAT ...oh come on, how can you think of physical needs in a time like this 🤢

As for Puru, I personally think he has got nothing to do with Devika and the kids.....have never seen such a uninvolved father and hateful father..

As for KC .....hmmmn.....at least yesterday i felt bad for her and felt she was just traumatised by the whole thing....though that didnt stop her from hearing all the conversations Robbie had.....and telling him to get Raunak

As for Shubhangi.....phew....she really needs to get hold of the voice tone....it reduces a powerful scene into a laugh fest or an ear blast....

Ohh god, they are the most digusting lot of SS kids. BTW, wat happened to tat DJ wendy and also Navneet😡. Everytime, This wendy comes to DJ and call his bhaiyaa as the MOST romantic fellow on earth, today wen the same bhaiyya is dead, she is nowhere to be seen

Wat a Great family this RaS has yaar... I really pity this guy now, He doesnt deserve this kind of reaction from his own family.

But lets keep our fingers crossed, as Rakshu said, i dont think its official tat RaS is dead. Iam hoping to see some dhamaakedhaar performances wen this news becomes official

Now coming to the reactions I guess we are today so much involved in the fictious world and have started thinking in the same manner that the line between Reel and Real has become distorted!!! The larger then life figures that are projected on screens become our real life heroes and we expect them to behave in a certain manner.... we forget the characters are afterall human figures needed to have some human qualities!!!

I don't even want to talk about VAT🤢.... they are the most disgusting creatures ever!!! At such point of time I have seen even the most irresponsible and immature people turning sensible and mature and composed... but these guys😡

But as Krishu said even I couldn't interpret KC's reations.... she was neither in shock nor in denial but her screaming chords were struck badly!!! and her jumping later seemes to me more like the after effects of what her MIL said!!!

Jwmrk man do i respect you for your well thougth out posts, its always a pleasure to read, today you touched me deeply by sharing a personal tragedy with all of us, for opening old wounds are truly a very hard thing to do, so here's to a very brave younge lady 🤗 you have a tremendously strong heart...

as for the reactions or lack of them, soo true where was ronuaks brother, arrev, even ajay?. So help me if kasturi blames robbie first instead of giving these guys a mouth full i will be sooo mad😡

and yes i luv that fact that at least someone understand devika, she is hard but man this lady has a will power of steel and i admire that, she didnt fall apart, she didnt cling to anyone and yep no tears from devika. infact i'm going to go off topic and tell you the first time i really liked devika was when she cried for robbie after katuri and ronuak got married (for devika to cry means she's broken completely otherwise she doesnt show any weakness) so that night devika broke not for herself but the true agonizing pain she felt for her son.. geeze dushu seem weaker then devika which i felt really horrible about.

kasturi her reactions just dont move me one bit, though when she woke up on the shore today, her facial expression of not finding ronuak their did stir a heart string or two. and she didnt look like a lady in shock sitting on the bed, she was too busy piecing robbies lasts two weeks together shes' adding 2+2 and getting 5!!!😕

and i always thought robbies reaction was the most normal one, he froze up and then had a delayed reaction that was it, very well done by KP
