Hey people!!! I'm finally back with another installment. I know this fan fic hasn't been updated for aaaaaages- but I've had to leave india-forums due to work committments. Not that I don't have more now. It's just that I'm a bit bored and tired now, so I thought 'why not come back and start writing again!' lol. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing this! I'm so so so sorry to have kept you waiting for such a long time. 😭 Mwah! LIBRARY BLUES Set-Back:From where we last got off! Kasturi walking in on Robbie Sabbarawaal doing a *urghem urghem*!!! Poor Kasturi! What on earth will happen to her... ''Huh?! What?!! What's going on??!!'' asked a confused and half naked Robbie sitting up from the bed, when he spotted a girl in traditional wear standing next to his bedroom door. ''what the hell are you doing here? Can't you see we're *busy*?!!'' growled Robbie in disgust. The girl that lay next to Robbie was pulling up the sheets to cover herself up!
Kasturi's eyes widened in shock and embarrassment, and without a word she spun around and ran out of the room as fast as her legs could carry her.
''omg omg omg omg, what just happened?!!'' she kept asking herself as she stopped in a dark hallway (that lead somewhere she didn't know) trying to catch her breath. She felt disgusted with herself. All she wanted to do now was forget work and get out of this horrible place. She turned to her left and walked out through the dark corridor, which led her to a huge and beautiful contemporary study room. She had made a wrong turn again. Cursing herself, she turned to walk in the other direction, when she heard a lady's sharp voice stop her:
''Excuse me?! tum kaun ho?'' asked the lady. Kasturi turned to face a beautiful woman in her mid fifties, wearing an expensive designer suit. ''Ji maam, I'm Kasturi, I'm sorry I took a wrong turn again... and then and there Kasturi ended up divulging the whole story of events (including her embarrassing run-in with Robbie) that had happened to her to this lady. With that, Kasturi said ''Please maam, can you show me how to get to the main exit. I don't intend to stay here any longer. I'm so sorry to have bothered you, and I really don't want the job anymore''.
The lady looked at her thoughtfully. ''Do you know who I am?'' asked the lady from Kasturi. ''Ji no maam I don't'' replied Kasturi timidly. ''Hmmm... tho let me tell you, I am Devika Sabbarawaal, Robbie Sabbarawaal's mother and personal manager''. Kasturi's eyes widened in shock. ''OH my God maam, I so sorry I didn't know. I didn't mean to say anything bad about your son, I accidently walked into the room thinking it was your room. I really am so sorry. Please maam...'' said a desperate Kasturi, all she wanted to do was just get out of here. Things were going from bad to worse. But before she could say anything more, Devika had held her hand motioning Kasturi to stop talking. ''Entering rooms WITHOUT knocking the doors is a big mistake Kasturi!...'' said Devika firmly. Kastur's heart sank, she knew was going to get in trouble for that. She looked down thinking that really didn't want this job anymore, infact she felt like not working at all.
..."But, I hope you will not do this mistake again Kasturi". continued Devika after a long pause. "Kasturi looked up confused. She hadn't heard right. ''Maam?!'' asked Kasturi. "Yes Kasturi, I'm appointing this job to you as you seem like the girl I would want working with me. It is for this job I was looking for someone... come come sit down'' said Devika pointing to some comfortable sofas near her large book case. Still amazed at this unexpected turn of events she walked over to where Devika maam had just sat herself down and settled opposite her.
"I was looking for somebody who could help with Robbie's busy schedules and admin work, but not one person who came across fit the critirea. Infact I was getting fed up of looking for someone!" exclaimed Devika maam. Kasturi listen with concern and her utmost attention. "Lekin maam, main kyun?" asked Kasturi. Devika maam smiled and replied. "Because you're not like the girls that I have come across before. You would know not to interfere with Robbie's personal life. Plus, with all due respect you're definitely not his type! So there'll be no chance whatsoever of him misbehaving with you". Kasturi nodded in understanding.
"Khair, now for the figures... I can offer you a reasonable 200k per month with benefits." continued Devika maam, Kasturi stared back at her in surprise! "maam 200k?!" asked Kasturi. Devika nodded "Ji haan, it's a very challenging and busy job. I take it you must be studying as well?! right?!" (Kasturi nodded). "Well then, it'll be hard for you to balance work and studies, therefore you'll need the money and you'll be doing me a huge favour!" said Devika maam.
Kasturi hesitated. She had just had an awful 'introduction' with Robbie, something that would probably scar her memories for the rest of her life. Now with a touch of luck she was being offered a job; what some girls would say a job of a life time to work with Robbie Sabbarawaal- the greatest pop star to have ever hit the country. However she didn't seem too happy. She had seen what Robbie was like. She didn't like this environment, and this lady here, who sat infront of her seemed friendly, however there was something about her that Kasturi didn't seem connect with. The pay was too generous for her liking... 'Did she really need this job?' Thought Kasturi to herself, when suddenly it hit her! The mobile phone!! She had to pay this whole debt off. And starting off with this salary she could actually pay off the money in no time. Without thinking any further she said "Ji maam, I'm ready to start whenever you want me to".
Devika maam smiled and stood up. She held out her hand and said "Well done and thank you! Welcome to the world of show biz". Kasturi shook it with a feeling of dread course right through her. She didn't like this feeling one bit- but she just had no choice...
As Kasturi was about to step out of the room, Robbie (all dressed btw 😛) barged in! "MOM, woh joh Ladki thi..." he started when he stopped in his tracks as he noticed Kasturi standing next to his mother. He shot a daring look at his mother and asked "What the hell is going on?!! aur woh YAHA kya kar rahi hain?!! Coz of her, my g/f just walked out on me thinking that I was cheating on her!!!!" Yelled Robbie. Devika just rolled her eyes, "Robbie welcome your personal assistant! From now on she will be your helper in all you admin work and scheduling" replied Devika maam with a hint of impatience. Robbies' mouth dropped wide open. "WHAT?!!! NOWAY!! I WILL NOT HAVE THIS... THIS... GAWAR BE MY PERSONAL ASSISTANT" he yelled. "NO WAY MOM!! couldn't you find someone else, you had to resort to this?!!" Motioning to Kasturi in disgust. Kasturi could not look up to him! She was just waaay too embarrassed.
"SHUT UP Robbie!! You do not speak to people like that!! She's you assistant and that's FINAL! BUS!". said Devika in a final tone. "Chal Kasturi" and with that they both left the room.
Robbie plonked down on the sofa in anger. 'thanks to that wretched girl, I lost my g/f!! And do you REALLY think I want to work with her mom?!! NOWAY!! Just wait and watch... I'll have her out of this place in 2 minutes!' 😈
Devika maam walked Kasturi to the main exit talking about when she expected Kasturi to start work. When they reached the door Kasturi shook hands with Devika maam once more and walked out into the magnificant and well kept garden. There Mukti was still waiting for her. "What took you so long yaar?!!" asked Mukti in pain. Kasturi shook her head, "I'll explain on the way, chal, lets go to the doctor! you look really bad." said she and they both walked off. As they made their way to the doctor Kasturi filled Mukti in about everything that had happened. "I am to start work tomorrow night! Straight after class Mukti". Mukti looked at her in pity and said "Don't worry yaar, eveything will work out fine. Atleast you've got the job na! And it's good pay! Atleast you'll get to pay of that stupid loafers money soon! hain na?! And then you can leave". Kasturi nodded...
The next day Kasturi is at college. She is in the library (at the very very back away from the annoying librarians view) doing her work and studying for her assessment... Kasturi had her head bent down pouring over her class notes. She had told Mukti to stay at home and rest as per Doctors advice. Therefore she was all alone in the library trying to get most of her work done before she started her first day at work. There was so much work to be done. Time went as she read... "Section 56b states..." 'Hain baghwaan, please help me finish this. It's getting harder by the day!' prayed Kasturi with her eyes closed.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Adi sitting right infront of her, leaning on the table with a menacing look. Kasturi leaned back in surprise "Tum yaha?!!" She asked in suspiciously. "Kyun?! Yaha aa nahi sakta hain kya?!!" mocked Adi! "It's a library Missy! Anyone can come here". He continued leaning back with a smug face.
"Haan anyone who has the passion to work comes here- not timewasters like you!" replied Kasturi.
Adi hissed in anger... in a flash he had moved forward, reached across the table and pulled her hair so hard to bring her face level with his. Their heads stood only inches apart from each other across the table... Kasturi winced in pain... "What do you think of yourself huh?!! A fairy that knows everything?!" Growled Adi, he was careful not to raise his voice. With each word he pulled on her hair harder. Her eyes were now watering with pain. "You learn how to speak nicely missy, varna I swear to God your future will not be pleasent!" he continued with disdain. With that he threw her head back, got up and walked off.
Kasturi sat in momentary shock! She could not believe what had happened to her. She needed to get out of there. Her head was still aching with the force at which he had grabbed her hair. She didn't know where to go to. Even Mukti wasn't in. She really missed having Mukti around, the only friend who would help her in her time of need...
She checked the time... it was almost 5.00pm. The next second she was packing up to leave for work...
