5/16 Analysis: The careless father

~ I officially title Ronak to be the king of "masterminds." He defeated Robbie in his own game plan, and how? I like this guy, he is intelligent, quick and a good friend. No more an angel in disguise, he is a savior that wears no mask (As of now). The look on Robbie's face after Kasturi splashes water all over his plans, by shocking him out of his wits was terrific. Those side looks, those smirks by Kasturi, I adore em all.

~ Like jinc said yesterday, I too get the feeling that I perhaps judged Devika a bit too soon and overlooked some important aspects of her personality and nature. Her husband's drunken state and his sloggish entrance, provided some more insight onto what we were shown yesterday. I see the point now, Devika has given up piecing broken shards of her heart and wants her son to not go through the same. Perhaps, that is why Robbie refuses to believe in love. His mother's state and her warnings of how bitter and painful love can be, may have closed the doors of having love in his dictionary. Seeing, his own father behave in such a manner with his own mother, must have pierced his heart painfully. I still see her standing as a wall between Robbie and Kasturi's love road/relationship, but not because she will dislike Kasturi or because she is poor, but because she would be afraid of her son treated with the same heart ache and pain that she herself went through. Although, there is a strong chance that if their love appears to be smooth sailing into a love-full relationship she may support them.

~Must say, heart wrenching interaction between Robbie and Devika. I feel sad for Robbie, that he hasn't received showers of love from his own father, but then at the same he is lucky to have a mother like Devika who has blanketed him with the comforts and love of both a mother and a father. Although, I'm getting curious what event has resulted from which a man fails to be a true companion to his own wife and children? Why does he choose to be absent from all major events in his family,except where events include his friend? Arriving home late at night, drunk and whoozy, and calling out to his wife as someone else, this definitely suggests that he cares less, because of something. Devika mentions she took care of the company, so this means the business was already running, and she took over because her husband did not. Judging from some soaps, I get the impression, that this behavior has resulted from some painful loss? That has edged him so deeply that he invites himself to his own home only some events that include where his friend is given importance.

~The scene between Kasturi and her mom was so beautiful. The way her mum told her, this is the time to decorate memories, cherish moments and adorn the happiness and joy of the festivities of a wedding. I know, she did not say that exactly, but the way she said was almost like that. Kasturi is so happy to be getting married, and Girish on the other is breaking all the illusions she has about him little by little. The card distribution to be the most recent instance. There is nothing wrong to be ambitious, to want more money -- it's perfectly normal, but sometimes if it gets a little too extreme, that becomes unhealthy. Hopefully, Girish will understand that Kasturi needs the money she gets to get her father operated, and will not ask her for any of it. Atleast, let some of my hope not shatter that I have in him.

~Last but certainly not least, the scene between Robbie and Kasturi. The way Kasturi entered Robbie's room to inform him about the meeting that he has to attend, and Robbie squeezing his alcohol-filled glass (or lemonade?) It was like watching an Impala ask a lion to not devour it. The lion being Robbie and the impala being Kasturi. Well, anyways, that rollercoaster ride that Robbie took Kasturi on was so long, and then the priest's words to Kasturi's mother of keeping the diya lighted till the wedding, and all pricked my ears. What were a gang of a youngsters doing on the middle of the road, drunk? that too on an isolated place? If Robbie is at fault, so is the girl, why would she stand in the middle of a road? Anyways, Robbie could have been much more careful and cautious, scaring Kasturi to appease yourself is one thing, and ricketting through traffic-filled roads and then isolated roads is another. Atleast, he wasn't shown to be deserting the girl on the road and took her to a nursing home. What do you think, why will Kasturi take blame for the accident? And how would she explain it? Would this factor stall her wedding to Girish?(From the promo) I think Devika may have something to do with it, anyways let's see..

you said it rite devika and robbie's scene put light on why robbie is so bitter about love..a careless father as you put it and the pain his mom is going through this relationship...now she wants robbie not to go through all this and the advice she gave robbie that marry to someone that will bring fame to his work{ishita}rich industrialist daughter but not for love...

kasturi/robbie scene too was good...the end scene robbie asking the girl's friends not to report it to the media and the way kasturi was looking at him was not an angry look but more of concern...

i think even working afew days with him and all his attitude to throw her out of job but inside there is a good heart and still have some humanity in him..as you mentioned he did not desert the girl on the road and took her to a private nursing home..ready to pay all her expenses for treatment.. robbie was almost begging the girl's friends and thats a new side of robbie kasturi saw yesterday ..a guy who always win but here he was pleading them not to go to media...thats y i think she will take the blame ....

i agree with you may be that will be the reason for kasturi's wedding to get stalled and indirectly it will be robbie's fault...wat twist this incident will bring in the story?....lets wait and watch...

Robbie plan getting trashed-The ? tht was on his face when he saw Kasturi normal standing in front of him was 'Ye gazab kaise hua' Bauji calling him Gawaiya was hilarious 😆 😆

Robbie Devika convo abt love-Scene of the day 😳
Yet another fab scene & gr8 per4mace by the stars it looked so relaistic. As jinc & Soni said maybe he judged Devika very soon but then she just doesnot wnats her son 2 go through d pain she went through in other words she wants 2 preotect her son from d 4 letter words love.

The ans we didn'y get yet is d reason of Purshotam Sabharwal abing like this, there must be something bcoz of which he prefers not 2 b in his senses. Maayb he doesnot has d ability 2 face her wife & kids who must b having loads of ? in their eyes as 2 y didn't he took care of them when they needed him d most.

Robbie Kasturi roller coaster ride-Another fab scene when Kasturi tells Robbie abt d meeting he refuses but when she says Devika mam said he loses his cool & drags her 4m room 2 d car. An excellent scene worth watching.

Kasturi's statement, Robbie angry-My ? is how d hec did d press came 2 knw abt d accident it must b 1 of those kids or mayb some1 else who did it. Now tht Kasturi is arrested Robbie may start getting softer 2wards her but then y i think this jail incdent will be the main reason behind Kasturis marriage being called off 😕

i think we have to judge robbie add after knowing his part of the story why he was distancing himself from family and bussiness.....may be someone had created rift between robbie mom and dad...we dont know anything....

robbie and devika scene was nice and emotional ...he is a mama boy and both mom and son do care for each other.

robbie was so distrubed due to his mom and dad strain relation and devika wants him only to concentrate on work and the outcome drunk and drive and result accident....

3 angels: Why do you think Raunak will turn evil? Earlier, I guess the other guy had a more Naman like face --too innocent and pure, but then if he play semi-evil (well, all greedy people turn out to be evil in the end, hope it's not the same for Girish) and now this new guy is cute as well, but we can also scream "bad boy" "bad boy" at the same time 😆 Hmm, but I don't want him to turn negative, I like him the way he is, the rest upto the creatives.

Shruti: I agree, the part where dadaji calls Robbie a gawaiya was hilarious, and Robbie's expressions were classic 😆 Actually the whole scene, was worth watchig 😆

You could be right, Kasturi being jailed maybe one reason as to why the wedding is called off, perhaps Girish may not swallow the fact that his to-be wife was with Robbie, past eight in the night? 😕 But then he was the one to encourage her and order her to stay at the party the other night and he loves her job and her "boss"

Sum: That's an interesting POV. Never thought of Robbie's dad that way, true he may be regretting how he has never been there for the family, and so he feels useless now, hence the alcohol consumptions?

Sum, was it me or did anyone else think Robbie was sipping orange juice or lemonade instead of alcohol..(Well ofcourse it wouldn't be real, but perhaps it could look a little real) 😆

I still have questions about Devika and Purshottam's relation. I think there could be two reasons why he is a drunk. Either there must be something about Devika that is not revealed yet or he is being influenced by his so called 'friends'- the Singhanias for their purposes. So i think its important to first know the reason for him to drink like this then we will really know if we can trust Devika or the Singhanias. If Robbie-Kasturi-Ronak is supos to be a triangle then we can assume that the Singhanias and Sabarwals will turn enemies. Otherwise it will be Devika who will be against the jodi. We'll see about that.

Hmm, I agree with you. It is extremely important to know what has made Purshotam Sabarwal like this. About the Singhanias, from first glance his friend -- Purshotam's friend/Raunak's father seems really nice -- but then the thing about pre-conceived notions/assumptions. So, I agree he too could be using his friendship with Purshotam to wrap his hands around some of their wealth -- like how their getting 40 % shares out of Robbie's hardwork/well we're told that atleast. Hmm, I guess we will have to wait and watch. I like this aspect of the show, it makes me think a lot, and the characters are interesting to explore.
