I have read a lot of negetive comments about this show from so many users. To a great extent this show deserves some of those comments. But i decided to be generous and say some good things just to give a break to the new and budding serial.
The things i like about this show:
1) Naman Shaw (Girish) -- hes the sweetest (awww i love him). Very rarely do you get a husband/fiance who is so supportive, humble and caring, and ...oh i could go on. 😳😍
2) Devika Saberwal -- She is probably the only "different" type of character in this serial so far. Shes rich, inteligent, powerful, disciplined, practical and the best part shes is impartial. Impartiality is probably the one thing that lacks in all the hindi serial characters. So i love her for that (so far...i am keeping my fingers crossed)
3) The more realistic relations -- I think Kasturi's family is portrayed more realistically than most other families in the other serials. I am talking about the way the Grandfather, who is so rigid and from another era and still holds on to those values, much like any of our own grandparent. He does love his family members but doesn't share a 'sweet old man' type of relation with his grandchildren. There is Kasturi's father who is sandwiched between the old and the new much like any other parent in this age who has to justify their children's actions to their parents. There is Kasturi's mother who lives a very passive, subdued life, letting the men dominate the household (but i have a feeling she will blow up one day when she tries to give her daughter a more liberated life...she has the talent to pull such a scene off wonderfully - that would be a treat to watch). We have already seen hints of that when she started to argue with her husband about Kasturi's marriage issue and in today's epi when she starts to talk about equality of men and women with the senile Grandfather (i just wanted to kill him when he shut her up).😡 There is the aunt who continuously only thinks of herself and her children...its usually like that in joint families. In reality there rarely is ever an extended family that is truely united. As it often happens the younger generation is usually more friendly and close to each other than their parents and grandparents. Like Kasturi and her Bhayu who are actually cousins are so close to each other (kinda reminded me of my relation with my cousins)
So I like that fact that Kasturi's family is just like any other family ...makes it easier to relate to even tho the issues that are comming up so far like Kasturi takin up a job...seems to be not from this decade.
Since this is about positive things i am not gonna mention the male lead...as we have yet to see how he handles himself with Kasturi and other characters (i am not really interested in seeing the KYPH track again, they better take the story somewhere else).
Please share what you think about the things i said and say anything that you like about this show. Please try to be positive only and if you don't like anything in the show...please don't comment here.😃
